- "We enjoyed our stay. The apartments are very new so everything was in great condition. It’s a small apartment but a perfect size for two friends sharing. Very comfortable bed. The company which owns the property have an office downstairs and they were very helpful- gave us brilliant restaurant recommendations and held on to our bags when we arrived before check in. The location was great. We could walk to lots of restaurants, the museum and to all our tour start points. Really glad we stayed in the city centre rather than on the outskirts. Would definitely recommend this property. The only slight negative is that you have to use a phone connected to wifi to access your apartment. It worked fine as there is free wifi you can connect to in the apartment block, but we went on quite a few late finishing tours and were worried what would happen if we forgot our phone or our battery died. Not sure how we then would have got in. Luckily it was all fine, but something to bear in mind that you will definitely need a phone to access the apartment."

We didn’t take advantage of the large wood-burning sauna or smoke sauna in separate huts (due to small kids not tolerating it for long) but the “perma-warm” indoor electric sauna was so convenient and relaxing. The heated floor in the bathroom/shower room was really nice for drying out ski clothing too :) Easy 25-minute drive on a main highway to Levi, and also only 25 minutes to Pallas national park on our ski-rest day. My only regret is that I don’t own a place like this for myself! I would love to stay here again if I’m back in the area!"

- "We were staying during the summer season, so it wasn't as busy as in the winter. However, we absolutely loved Salla and the Holiday Club there! There is everything you need in the cottage and you can reach the hiking trails directly from the doorstep. Also make sure you stock up on supplies before you get there in Salla if you dont have a car - there is only a tiny shop on site and was no milk while we were there. Also arrange transport before you get there! We were stung with taxis' that cost 630 euros in total to get to and from the airport "

We wanted to book a husky safari and reached out to the hotel a good while before our stay, but we haven't got an answer at all or with about 5 days waiting time. This problem led to the impossibility of participating in a husky safari, which was absolutely frustrating. Even while being there we got different information from different people at the reception. The Safari House bar could definitly be improved, there was no music playing, no real drinks menu (only a few drinks written on a piece of paper), not a nice atmosphere to relax with a good drink. More evening activities (without extra costs) like live music or bar quizes would have been nice. There is not much to do after 18:00 o'clock. The Finnhorse Sleigh Ride was absolutely beautiful and we would recommend that acitivity to everyone. All of the activities are on the expensive side (but they are worth the money), but if you don't book many activities there isn't much to do at the resort. All in all we really liked our stay and would book there again."

This intriguing and atmospheric wooden house was built in the 1960's (100m2) has kept its original warm ambient and is decorated with love. A terrace with winter and northern light views and a spacious backyard for playing in the snow, small sledge playing and hanging in an igloo. (The picture of the igloo comes when there is enough snow to build it.)

Located 200 meters from the shore of the longest river in Finland, Kemijoki, and situated in a nice neighborhood, this traditional wooden house built in the 60´s has kept its original warm ambient.

There are three rooms for rent in the house and half of the time I live in a third room at the other end of the house with my own entrance.

In the yard there is an igloo (where you can stay) and a small creek opportunity. There are still no images of these because the place is new and there is no snow yet, the updates are coming!

If you are not afraid of dressing in the 90's finnish-winter-fashion, you can borrow warm winter clothes and shoes from the house.

From the terrace you can watch the Auroras, and if you see them there is an open park next to the house for better views, but for the best views of the skies is the Kemijoki Ice, that is only 200 meters away and there is virtually no light pollution, so the northern lights can be seen perfectly.

Reindeers and other winter acties like icetrek, skiing, skating, sledging, snowmobiling etc. nearby. My place is good for couples, friends and solo adventurers to explore the beauty of Lapland. Finish Snowhostel on the yard. Kemi Snowcastle 10 km, Santa Claus Village and Ranua Zoo reachable in day trip. Pick-up and delivery also available from Kemi and Tornio-Haparanda stations. Come on in!

Excellent chances to spot and see Northern light! Close situation to Kemijoki river makes it possible to spot auroras right on the backyard. Ice fishing on the Kemijoki river that is 50 metres from the apartment. Snowhostel and husky farm also nearby. SnowCastle in Kemi 10 km and Icebreaker Sampo 15 km. Santa Claus village only is two hours away from my house. Unique in the world Santa's seaside office in 8 km from the house. One of the largest Arctic zoo - ZooRanua Wildlife Park only one and a half hours away from here, where you can see polar bears and more than 50 species of other arctic animals. There is St. Michael's Church about 4 km from my home. That is a real medieval stone church, which was founded in 1550 and this place is definitely worth to see also.
