You are staying right next to the beach. Have a pontoon at the beach for pick up and drop off by boats and other needs like swimming and snorkelling. It is very close to the main road and not far from town (Neiafu). There are two houses available with 2 bedrooms each. They are ready for anyone visiting Vava'u for whale watching, snorkelling, diving, holidays, or other reasons. This house has a huge area in the dining room and an extra room can be added. There is lots of room for families in each unit. We are working to install the internet there and we finish install hot water for the shower and it's working perfectly now. You will love living in one or both of those houses if you have more families, workmates, boat crews or friends in Vava'u. I live right next door so I can help with anything. I work at Tonga Water Board but my wife is home with our 5 year old son most of the time. She does excellent tours around Tongatapu.
We have a dog named Moxi.
The neighborhood is safe, close to town and quiet except for noisy chickens, dogs, church bells and birds.
Sometimes a noisy kava grinding machine next door.

Rae does tours of the island stopping at places of interest, T$200 paanga per person for a whole day tour, also half island tours at T$120 paanga per person. Other companies charge T$300 pp and up for full day tours.

Vava'u is an hour's flight from Tongatapu on Real Tonga Airlines or from Fiji on Fiji Air. Two ferry services are also available. There is an 18 hour ferry service, leaving on Tuesday eveng and a 6 - 8 hour service, departs on Wednesday morning.

This place is a fisherman's paradise. Hunga and the surrounding Vava'u area offers a dynamic mix of fishing options. fishing techniques and an array of different species to target. Inside the lagoon is great for lure fishing, including soft plastics, slow trolled bibbed lures, spinning lures and probably any other lure you try. There are many spots as yet unexplored for rock fishing.

Turtles can often be seen bobbing cheekily in the water amongst schools of fish in front of our house. Vava’u attracts many humpback whales between June and November each year - as they head from Antarctica to the warm waters of Vava'u because of its deep water and its’ geographical location.

Perfect for kayaking, snorkling/diving. Explore the sheltered lagoon by kayak, optimist or Pep'e (3.8M aluminium coastal pontoon boat with 2 stroke 15hp engine, 25 litre tank, rod holders, portable VHF and anchor), and venture out to visit some of the neighbouring islands. Falau Lelei our 6.5 metre motor boat is also available for any water excursions or snorkelling/fishing/sight-seeing trips. Cost to be discussed at time.
