- "This gîte is a beautiful house with a magnificent view of the mountains and the St. Laurent river. It's a few minutes drive into the centre of Baie-St.-Paul and very convenient for going to other locations in the area. The hosts are very friendly and the breakfasts are fantastic! The entire house is very well decorated and the room is very well appointed with modern facilities. The bed is comfortable and the black out curtains and quiet environment allowed us to sleep very well at night. We also took advantage of the nice living room when we are in the house. All in all it was a wonderful an experience and we are surprised that it was priced so reasonably. It's comparable to 4-star hotels in service and amenities. I don’t regret the stay but on advertising it should be indicated the bathroom was shared. The gîte is a house with several room renting. The first day, even the breakfast was included in the price, we should pay the drinks. I noticed to the owner my insatisfaction about it. The next day, the restaurant included free juice. The room was very clean but insonorisation doesn’t exist, so be ready to tolerate noises from neighbors. The location is very good. They offer a free coffee corner in the second floor."

The cottage is built on a 22 000 sqft water view with two large patios. The property is located on a steep slope, offering a picture perfect view of the St-Lawrence river and surrounding mountains. Having only one neighboring house, you'll have all the tranquility you need for your retreat.

The building offers two bedrooms, two full bathrooms as well as a pull-out couch for the 8th guest. A washer and dryer, full size kitchen, all cooking essentials and utensils, beddings and towels are included. A drip coffee machine is also available.

For the patios, two dining areas have been set up. The larger dining area is on the lower patio, by the hot tub, which is perfect for entertaining! The upper patio is equipped with the BBQ and a smaller table to take in the morning views with a fresh coffee, or an afternoon cocktail!

Il s'agit vraiment d'une expérience unique. Le chalet est à 1 km du chemin, en pleine forêt. On ne voit ni n'entend rien sinon la nature tout autour.

Pas d'électricité ni de wifi, mais le réseau est excellent, l'énergie solaire nous éclaire, le propane nous nourrit et le bois nous réchauffe.

Located on a large wooded land of 400,000 m2, the refuge is 900 meters from the road, on the edge of a large pond, two rivers and 4.5 km of marked trail.

The space
Rustic, surrounded by nature and mountains, without running water, without electricity, outdoor compost toilet, mosquito net shelter with picnic table and a 3-season outdoor camping shower (room temperature), in operation from May to September.

Note that drinking water is available at the drinking water point at the back of the barn at the entrance to the grounds (spring-summer-fall).

In winter we provide 3x5 gallons of drinking water for your stay at the shelter.

flashlight and don't forget your toilet paper...

The shelter is well equipped for cooking, pots, stoves, fondue set, dishes and utensils.
There are 4 pillows on site with fitted sheets (2 extra sleeping bags if needed during the winter period) however you must bring your sleeping bags.

Stove wood during the winter October 1 to May 1 is included. During the summer only indoor stove wood is provided. Wood for outdoor campfires is not provided but there is a saw on site and you can collect all the dead wood on the ground.
