- "It's not amezing but so so nice hotel but not fully satisfied " - "This hotel is in the desert as it’s name implies but not too far out of town. Were told the property is two years old. Rooms were large and comfortable. I think our party of 3 rooms were the only ones there. There were a lot of inconsistencies though, such as a bar which never opened. As advertised, pool table but no cues. They advertise a spa and fitness center...we looked at the spa and just a storage room...no fitness center. They advertise free Wi-Fi in the rooms but Wi-Fi only works in lobby. Off the main lobby there is a door with a sign that says library...no books and the lights and air con is off so not a place to sit and read. We wanted a place to gather and play cards, so they did bring furniture into the library and allowed us to stay, although the air con was very inadequate, so quite warm. Also there were no umbrellas at the pool and zero shade except for later in the afternoon when the building started to shade a portion of the patio. We have shared our thoughts with the management because they asked how our stay was. It was also coming into off season so that could be why they only had minimal services running. "

Inside The Only Living Fort of India there are lot of old and ancestral houses. Named after the real owner, Shri Suraj Karanji Vyas, who was Teacher of the Maharaja at that time and also his Legal Advisor. Build in 1526 A.D. it belongs to us since then. We are the 17th Generation of Suraj Karanji Vyas living in "Suraj Haveli". As we are more focused on maintaining the originality of our ancestral property we have tried to maintain the main structure of the building and changes are made only on the places where it was necessary.

Our family lives on the ground floor of "Suraj Haveli". There are 4 rooms on upper floors which take you back in history giving a feel of being wedged in time. Running Our "Suraj Haveli" as a Home stay facility for last 30 years, we have given a very good experience to our customers which is mostly liked by the new guests. It`s our promise that during your stay in "Suraj Haveli", you can get a pure feel of staying at your second home.

My place is close to the temples and restaurants and dining with great views and family-friendly activities. It is located inside the Fort so it also has amazing view from the rooftop restaurant. You’ll love my place because of the coziness, the views, the location and the people. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and big groups.

The space
The room here is located on the norh side of the house having two windows, one king size bed and an attached bathroom with a western seating facility. The roftop restaurant offers veg delicacies in different cuisines. FYI, the room is located on the first floor and there is no lift access so kindly be advised.

My place offers a range of services like We can organise desert camel safaris and sightseeing trips to local monuments. We also make arrangements for bus, train and air tickets and car hire. Laundry service is available at various fixed prices. Broadband connection is available. A doctor is on call 24 hours a day. Money exchange services are also done.
It is situated 6 kilometres from Jaisalmer airport. The next closest airport with more extensive flight services is Jodhpur which is 300 kilometres away.Jaisalmer can also be reached by train and bus.

Welcome to my place which is an ancestral property of mine belonging in my family since the past 5 generations. I have been hosting here since the last 10 years.

Once you're here, you'll forget your worries in this beautiful and comfortable place, with the warm hospitality and splendor lingering in your mind everlastingly. My place is built in heritage style with some of the most exclusive and artistically furnished rooms, modern amenities and ambiance in Jaisalmer city.

The space
The Place:
This 18th century house where you will be living during your stay was built more than 250 years ago but I renovated it around 5 years back to keep it abreast with modern amenities. The place is located in Jaisalmer Fort and also boasts of an amazing Sunset view from the rooftop. The place is not only serene but also has an amazing aesthetic feel to it. You can Sit, Relax & Soak in the environment while watching the Rustic Rajasthani life unfold in front of you.

The Room:
The room being shown here is one of our special rooms and is called “The Mehandi Room”. It’s called “Mehandi Room” because 'Mehandi (Henna) is considered auspicious in our culture and is applied on the hands of the bride before her marriage day. The color of the pillows and the Lamps inside the room will surely remind you of the same. The bed here is a double-size bed and the mattress is comfortable and great for a rejuvenating sleep. There is an attached bathroom with 24 hours access to Hot & Cold water. A stay here will not only rejuvenate you but also enthrall you with the sheer beauty of the city.

The area:
My place is situated inside the Jaisalmer Fort which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is not only one of the largest Fort in the country but it is also the largest living fort in the whole of Asia. A walk of 150 meters from the main square of the Fort reaches you to my place. Since my place is located inside the lanes of the Fort, you’ll not be able to bring your own vehicle and would have to walk the small distance (Don’t worry, we can send runners for you!). There are numerous Jain Temples & the Palace Museum nearby and you can take in the ancient history just by walking through the small lanes of the Fort and witness how people are living in it from ages.

Proximity:
My place is located inside the Jaisalmer Fort and all the major tourist attractions such as the Old Market called "Bazaar", The "Patwaon ki Haveli", The "Nathmal Ki Haveli", Numerous Jain Temples, The Gadisar Lake and many more things are in a 1km vicinity of my place.
The Royal Cenotaphs (Called the "Bada Bagh") & the abandoned villages of "Kuldhara" & "Khaba" which are not only a major tourist attractions but also have a big historical importance to Jaislamer are located between 5-15kms of vicinity from here.
Also, the train station & the bus stand are a 10 mins driving distance from here.

*I organize Desert Safaris which are totally off-the-beaten track and will leave you asking for more. It will start from your transfer via Jeep to a quiet and traditional village where you’ll not only see how the locals live but will also experience a brilliant camel safari on Dunes. The silence of the Desert will bring you to peace and away from the hustle-bustle of the city (Just like meditation!). The safari would include – Sunset on the Dunes, Dinner in the desert, and a night under the stars which would be followed by breakfast and then a ride back via Jeep. Be assured that for you, it will be an once-in-a-lifetime experience.
*I also organize one night stays in Luxury Swiss tents which you can also avail on request. Kindly note that tents are in high demand during the season (Oct-Feb), so I would request you to book them at the earliest. If you wish, I can include it in the price and send a special offer to you for the same.
*You can also ask for a guided tour of the Desert National Park which we can arrange for you.
