- "I greatly enjoyed my time at the Residence for many reasons. Chawa picked me up from the airport. The fee to get into town was less than half the posted charge for taxis. Breakfast each day was both enormous and tasty. Dinner was likewise excellent. The bed was comfortable, which gave me long, deep sleeping. Chawa arranged tours of the town, and also to see the Chongoni Rock Art (a UNESCO site I wanted to visit). He could also arrange a trip to Lake Malawi and the beach. I feel certain they would make arrangements for whatever day trip you want. The location is not in the busy city center, rather, in the outskirts of town. That made the area peaceful and quiet (something I appreciate...no honking traffic to keep me awake). I already know where I plan to stay on my next trip to Lilongwe. "

The apartment unit is attached to the main house but is located in a different wing for privacy. The space includes a private entrance, kitchen, study space, bathroom and bedroom area.

Situated on the M5 road, along the vast Kaning'ina Forest Reserve and a short walk away from the Kaning'ina Hills. We have a guesthouse with; 2 ensuite rooms each with 2 single beds in them. These go for $15 per night. As well as a larger house with 2 rooms each with a single bed in them and shared bathroom. These are going at $10 per night.

The space
Our property is spacious—about 60m x 60m, give or take. It’s fully fenced and includes a closed garage, plus both outside and inside storage rooms. We have a guest house and a main house. The owner sometimes stays in the main house, but it’s mostly used for guests and the two caretakers who help manage the Airbnb.

There’s also a workspace for Kaya Kreates, which includes a small studio. We have both an outdoor and indoor kitchen, a chicken khola, a rubbish pit, outside taps, a carport, and a nice garden to relax in.

Guest access
Guests are welcome to use most areas on the property, including the garden, outdoor and indoor kitchens, storage rooms, and other main amenities. The creative studio and Kaya Kreates workspace are also available just let us know in advance if you’d like to use them. If you’re just using the space on your own, there’s no extra fee. However, if you’d like to work with our in-house team (producers, creatives, etc.), production fees will apply. It’s all about planning ahead so things run smoothly.

It is a cozy 3 bedroom house with a big yard for outdoor activities. It feels just like home with some trees that give shade and a pleasant breeze. We accommodate guests in a self contained guest room.

We are 35 mins from the airport but varies with traffic. We can provide a vehicle at an affordable rate to help easy mobility to and from the airport.

My husband and i are very happy to host and enjoy having company.
