The access to the beach is also very well considered as only hotel guests with a key card can exit through some gates to reach the beach. For a young family, this made a lot of sense. In terms of facilities, there's a nice small gym 24/7 free for use and for the more avid gym goers and more substantial gym with powerlifting equipment etc for 10 euros a day. The spa itself was really nice and is only 20 euros for 3 hours which I clufes access to a private pool, sauna, steam room, ice bucket and jacuzzi. This is free for anyone who books a massage too. Outside of this, there is a separate indoor heated pool which is free for all guests to use and very well sized. The breakfast buffet was great for us as vegetarians and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Dinner was also good however ony a few nights, perhaps a more substantial vegetarian main dish would have been great. Aside from this, we enjoyed our meals in the hotel. "

- "Spectacular last minute family trip to the southern coast of Portugal! Needed to escape the hustle and bustle of Seville for some R&R and Pine Cliffs Hotel was perfect for us! The grounds are spectacular, beautifully groomed with direct beach access. The restaurant directly on the beach served up high quality ceviche and drinks and there were ample beach chairs with shade available for our use. The 1 bedroom suite we reserved was spacious and clean though did show some signs of wear but was still clean with comfortable linens and towels. The breakfast bullet provided plenty of options to choose from with plenty of fresh fruit, pastries and the typical fare of higher end buffets (espresso drinks, juice options/smoothies, omelette station, etc). We would definitely stay again next time we visit southern Portugal!"

- "We visited with a four year old and a 6 month old baby. It was ideal, very child friendly, lovely pools and helpful staff. The beach was a bit of a walk through the hotel grounds, but there is a train shuttle which our son loved! Overall very happy and would visit again. Only small negatives, the cleaning staff for the apartment (we had a two bed golf suite which was perfect in size, location and decor) varied in effort! Some days it was cleaned spotlessly and others it seemed it had just had a quick clean. The restaurants on site are not the cheapest but good quality. There are a few restaurants within walking distance outside the resort which are cheaper. Overall would highly recommend for a family with young children "

We got engaged there, which was the highlight of our trip. The resort is close to nearby towns, hiking trails and attractions in Algarve. Everything is a short taxi away or they have a rental car service on the property. It was very convenient for our trip to Lagos. An ideal location in between everything with its own private beach. Staff was very friendly. It was warm and perfect beach weather in April. Did not have to pay for chairs on the beach. Be warned that it is a family resort with lots of kids. If you are going as a couple you may not be into that. I would stay there again. If you are looking for fresh fish, go off resort. All resort restaurants are over priced for catch of the day 120€ pp. If you go in town (Albufeira or to marina), catch of the day is 20€ pp and amazing food. The resort has a market on the Main Street, which is very handy for buying drinks, quick snacks or sunscreen. Bonvoy members: you cannot get points for your stay by booking through Expedia.
