- "This was our first trip to Japan, ever, so we wanted to experience authentic and traditional Japanese hospitality, and what an amazing surprise we got. We rented the suite, which is the annex. You basically get an entire traditional japanese house, with a private onsen, all for yourself. From the moment you arrive to the ryokan, you get the warmest welcome you can imagine. You are taken to your guest house and introduced to everything around a house. They provide you with Yukatas so you can feel comfortable. For dinner, they come and serve you like a 5 or 6 course meal (I can't remember exactly how much they were), fully authentic seasonal japanese food. Once you are done, they come pick up the food from your dining room, and set up the futons were you will be sleeping, really comfortable futons. By morning, they come and serve the breakfast and store the futons. Did I mentioned the amazing private onsen all for yourselves? What an amazing experience onsens are. Now I understand why it is so embedded in Japanese culture. The only thing I regret is not staying another night, since we had a very tight Japan schedule. But if you ever go to Japan, at least once stay in a traditional Ryokan to enjoy tradition. And I cannot emphasize how great a decision would it be to choose Nanten-en. And if you can afford the suite, go for it. It is something you need to experience once in a lifetime at least."

It has a fluffy and soft double bed with matching pillows for you to enjoy a good night’s sleep on.

My apartment is located in prime real estate, which is nearby the Dotonbori/Shinsaibashi area.
This area is really popular with tourists and locals alike, as there are great restaurants and a lot of great shopping to be had!

Even before you go to that popular tourist spot, there are a bunch of things you can see near the apartment!
Of especial note are the supermarket, Big Beans (a lot of interesting groceries here, you can buy some back to prepare your own food in the well-equipped kitchenette if you like),
and a little cafe called Ueshima Coffee just down the road. I often walk there to take my breakfast.

Once you are done, you can go to the station and visit any sightseeing spots you like with the perfect access to subway lines.
Or you can take a 10 minute stroll, and you’ll be in Shinsaibashi already!
You’ll note that having this central area nearby means that if you would like to enjoy nightlife, you can do so with a light heart as the apartment is just a short walk back :)

4. Osaka Mint Bureau [Osaka]

5. Kiyomizu-dera Temple [Kyoto]

Located a 4-minute walk from Izumisano Station, 2 stops from Kansai Airport, making it ideal for early morning or late night flights. Check-in time is from 5 pm to 11:30 pm. To protect our guests' sleep, showers and hair dryers cannot be used between 12 am and 6 am.

This is a shared male and female dormitory. Up to 6 people can stay in the same room. If you'd like to stay in a female-only dormitory, please book from that listing.

Thick mattress, pillows, and futons are provided.
