The hotel is very centrally located just 3 min walk from the Nippombashi subway station where we got a direct train our next destination, Nara, via the Kintetsu line. We probably could have taken the train from Kyoto to Osaka straight to that station but didn’t research it in time. The hotel is also 5 min from the dynamic and vibrant Dotonbori district, as well as the KUROMON food market. Shinsaibashi street shops are a few minutes walk. The train to Osaka castle and to Expo 2025 were very easily accessible from Nippombashi station. Our three teens absolutely loved the space and having their own full-sized beds in the large dormitory-style second bedroom, while my husband and I shared a cozy full bed in the connecting room next door. Check in and check out was easy if following instructions. The cleaning staff showed up promptly at 10am (Japanese efficiency) and we were able to stow our bags at rhe conveniently located luggage store next door for a nominal ¥500 fee per bag for the whole day. The 7-11 another 2 doors down was a huge plus. The location was perfect, space was great and value for money teriffic. The only complaints we had were getting the ac to work to combat inferno-like temperatures on arrival, and when we had trouble opening the keypad apartment door lock. But we still highly recommend it."

This area is really popular with tourists and locals alike, as there are great restaurants and a lot of great shopping to be had!

Even before you go to that popular tourist spot, there are a bunch of things you can see near the apartment!
Of especial note are the supermarket, Big Beans (a lot of interesting groceries here, you can buy some back to prepare your own food in the well-equipped kitchenette if you like),
and a little cafe called Ueshima Coffee just down the road. I often walk there to take my breakfast.

Once you are done, you can go to the station and visit any sightseeing spots you like with the perfect access to subway lines.
Or you can take a 10 minute stroll, and you’ll be in Shinsaibashi already!
You’ll note that having this central area nearby means that if you would like to enjoy nightlife, you can do so with a light heart as the apartment is just a short walk back :)

Of Note: Nearly 5000 cherry trees line Okawa River for several kilometers. The seemingly endless rows of cherry trees can be viewed from a pleasant riverside promenade or from ships cruising the river. There are also lawn areas with a lot of space for picnics.

4. Osaka Mint Bureau [Osaka]

Of Note: More than 300 trees of over 100 varieties, mostly later blooming yae-zakura trees can be viewed on the premises of the Osaka Mint Bureau. Every year, the gates to the cherry garden are specially opened to the general public during a one week period in mid April.

5. Kiyomizu-dera Temple [Kyoto]
