A very tasty and filling breakfast is served in the morning. You can easily walk to several restaurants, the bus station, and a market. Graciela brought tea most evenings to my room. The only negative for me is that the room did get quite hot some days. I will return though."

The second night ants invaded our room, we were offered to be moved to another room, but we were ok with the solution to spray them as we weren't in the mood to pack all our belongings. Reynaldo who runs the hostel is really nice guy, very attentive, helpful and available any time of the day. He is also behind the local infocenter, that provides a good source of necessary info about all possible activities in Santa Fe. Food in hostel's restaurant was also good."

The Bamboo Villa is a two story luxury villa with two master bedrooms
on the first floor with large beautiful master bathrooms with jacuzzi
tubs large enough for two people to lay side by side. ( see photos )

The additional four bedrooms are located on the second floor and all
have a large bathroom within the rooms with beautiful tile work . The
upstairs bedrooms all have private balconies . Each room is equiped
with A/C and a flat screen tv.

The kitchen is a chefs dream with a large open cooking area and a
large refrigerator.

The infinity pool has a covered bar and lounge area with amazing views
of the surrounding mountains and ocean .

The Family at Bamboo Villa

- "We were two couples sharing the entire Bamboo Villa and had an incredible time for the almost two week stay. Panama is a spectacular country and this being our first visit we spent quite a bit of time exploring. We settled on staying almost our entire trip at the Bamboo Villa given it's excellent location in beautiful chiriqui. Alberto greeted us for the check in as well as helped us plan multiple activities. He is extremely knowledgeable about the Panama and always ready to answer any questions we had or provide suggestions on places to go. He was also able to arrange for a private boat charter to watch the whales, see dolphins, and visit some local island beaches. The boat was able to come right to the private dock on the property! Speaking of the property, it is absolutely amazing. The villa sits on top of a hill overlooking the forest and estuary that leads out to the sea. There are incredible stands of bamboo on the property. There is also a private airstrip, large boathouse, and private dock. They really did think of everything. The grounds of the house are beautifully maintained and lush. There are lemon and papaya trees 10 steps from the door. There is also a beautiful infinity pool with gorgeous views. We spent several days just hanging out at the house lounging in the pool or playing bocce ball or horseshoes. It is a very private oasis that could easily accommodate 6 couples. The villa itself is huge and beautiful. The layout inside is very open with very high ceilings and a massive kitchen. We cooked some great meals with local fruits and vegetables and there are multiple seating areas available for larger groups. There is a ping pong table, a pool table, and multiple large 4k smart tv's in the house that can be used to stream movies or tv. The internet is strong with a private connection to the nearby large city of David. There are 6 total bedrooms in the house all of which are very large. There are two massive suites on the main level with beautiful jetted tubs and multi-jet showers. With options to day trip to the mountains (Boquete or Vulcan) or the beach (Boca Chica), the Villa really is in the ideal location for seeing all that this part of Panama has to offer. I can't tell you how much fun we had in Panama and how much we enjoyed our stay at the Villa. Alberto was the most gracious and friendly host and guide. We very much look forward to coming back to Panama for another stay!"
