It was designed by renowned architect Professor Peter McIntyre in 1986 when the original village of Dinner Plain was just beginning.

'Bogong' is on two levels; downstairs is the kitchen, pantry, north facing outdoor deck, living room, boot room, separate toilet, drying cupboard and bathroom. Up the carpeted staircase are two well appointed bedrooms each with a queen sized bed. Bogong is heated downstairs by a large open fire in the living room and is supported by a gas heater. All other areas have electric panel heaters to keep them warm and cosy.

Our little chalet is situated right in the heart of Dinner Plain Village and is within very close proximity to restaurants, bars, boutique shops, cafe, ski hire, day spa, hairdresser and small supermarket and the hub of village life.
No car is necessary once you park in our driveway; walking tracks surround the village and the beginner ski slope, toboggan run and snow fields are less than a five minute walk away.
A shuttle bus connects Dinner Plain to the ski slopes of Mt Hotham and we are very close to the pick up/drop off point.
Dinner Plain Village is surrounded by a multitude of easily accessible walking tracks; the natural beauty of its surrounds is breathtaking. Whether you enjoy a day on the slopes of nearby Mt Hotham or a relaxed day in the village of Dinner Plain 'Bogong' is a perfect destination.

A unique and charming getaway, an experience out of the ordinary. 'Bogong' is like stepping into a tiny picture book cottage; an architect's vision of what a tiny ski chalet should be.
At 'Bogong' we supply all linen and firewood. Our comfortable beds are all made up and the heaters will be switched on awaiting your arrival. We have two small televisions: one is the living area and another mounted on the wall in the upstairs bedroom. We also have scrabble, decks of cards and books to read. Our kitchen is well equipped with a new Belling cooker, refrigerator, microwave oven and quality crockery and cutlery. We have a pantry which has ample shelving for your provisions and we have a small coffee machine for your use. Cooking utensils are all provided which include a wok, rice cooker, sandwich press, toaster, slow cooker and all saucepans and frying pans.
In our pantry we have salt and pepper, flour and sugar. You need to bring all your own food supplies with you, however there is a small supermarket located within a two minute walk from our front door which is open everyday if you prefer to shop on the mountain.

Our chalet is surrounded with options for eating out, all within easy walking distance; Rundells restaurant is located directly opposite our chalet, High Plains Hotel is two doors away, Mountain Kitchen is very close by as are several other restaurants, cafes and hotels.
Onsen Day Spa is also very close by if you require some special pampering on your getaway.
