Our neighborhood is quiet, no parties please. So many fun things to do in the area. Disneyland is 15 minutes away down Harbor Blvd. The Beach is 30 minutes south down the 55 freeway, Angel Stadium is 10 minutes south down 57 freeway, Downtown Los Angeles is 30 miles (time depends on traffic, usually about 30-45 minute drive) down the 60 freeway (or the 5), Knott's Berry Farm is 20 minutes away. Local mountains such as Lake Arrowhead and Big Bear are about 1 1/2 hrs away. Where else can you stay and go to the beach on Monday, Ski in Big Bear on Tuesday and see Disneyland on Wednesday. The name “Oasis” describes the property well. The two giant king palms welcome you into the gated property with circular driveway entrance giving you the feeling of arriving at a private estate. Enter through the gate that opens up to a courtyard with two pomegranate trees & a wall of bamboo that creates privacy from neighbors & leads you to the guest house located in the back portion of the property.

The yard is spacious and functional, providing the indoor-outdoor living experience that we are grateful to experience here in CA including a fuyu persimmon tree, an orange tree, & a guava tree (help yourself if there is fruit on the trees!). An herb garden is just steps outside, & a few more steps leads you to the gazebo with table to enjoy a glass of wine or a meal outside or use it as an area to work & enjoy the great outdoors while on a Zoom call. To make it more affordable for individuals or couples, there is a $150 per month additional fee per person after 2 people.

For 28+ night stays, the following deposits apply:

The pet fee for shorter stays is $25 per night per dog, max 2 dogs - other animals or more than 2 dogs require prior approval. To keep the cost low for smaller groups, there is a $12 per person per night additional guest fee when there are more than 2 guests.

Note: The cleaning fee for a 28+ nights stay is higher than the short-term cleaning fee in the listing.

For stays 28 nights or longer, the cleaning fee is $200. The difference between this fee and the initial cleaning fee paid upon booking will be collected along with the deposits before check-in.

Immediately after booking you will receive our short rental agreement to review and accept.

For your convenience in cleaning up any messes or spills we provide handiwipes and bar rags as an eco-friendly alternative to paper towels. We also provide Swedish dish cloths instead of sponges. There is a sign in the house explaining the benefits, however if you prefer paper towels or sponges during your stay feel free to bring them. We want to prepare you the best we can for an exceptional stay with us.

1. NO EXTRA GUESTS. You may not exceed the number of guests than what's on the reservation at any time without prior approval. No additional guests are allowed to ENTER the property at any time. You must get approval if you wish to have any visitors that are not on the reservation. This is a strict rule with the county. Failure to follow this rule will result in immediate cancellation without refund.

2. EARLY CHECK-IN OR LATE CHECK-OUT:
Check-in is after 4PM. Check-out is by 11AM. Requests for early check-in and late check-out are not guaranteed, and subject to additional fees.

3. NO PETS: This is strictly enforced and monitored at check-in. We are unfortunately not able to make any exceptions to this rule.

4. NO SMOKING OR BURNING CANDLES. This is a non-smoking home. No smoking at all. There will be a $250 charge for anyone not honoring this guideline.

5. Please be respectful of our neighbors! Follow our Good Neighbor Policy of NO outside noise after 10pm and before 8am. Guests must refrain from any outdoor music, noise or other disruptions that may cause a disturbance to the community during quiet hours. Failure to respect quiet hours after an initial warning may result in cancellation of your reservation without refund.

6. Keep doors closed AT ALL TIMES. There are many creatures in the desert, including mice, rats and coyotes, that can easily enter the home if doors are open and cause infestation and damage. Please be responsible and keep all doors closed (front door, laundry door, and sliding door).

7. No professional photoshoots or video shoots without prior approval. If you’re interested in doing a photoshoot or shooting a video, please let us know what it is for. You must get approval beforehand! If approved, we have an additional fee for licensing and usage. Unauthorized use of the rental property's name, address or images (interior, exterior, or property surroundings) for any commercial, business, sales, or promotional use in any print or electronic media is unlawful and will be pursued to the full extent of the law.

8. No special events such as parties or weddings are allowed without prior written approval.

9. Guests shall allow access to property management vendors or workers during their stay for landscaping, pool/hot tub maintenance, trash removal, any necessary repairs and inspection of premises.

10. No glitter or confetti allowed. Please remove all decorations, if any, by check-out time at 11am on day of checkout.

11. No glass is allowed near the pool/spa area. All food and drinks must be served in plastic containers and dishes.

12. SPA/POOL:
The spa and pool are in the Clubhouse and require a key card—left on the counter for your stay—with a $200 replacement fee; there is no lifeguard on duty, so you swim at your own risk. Guests assume full responsibility and liability, holding the hosts, homeowners, agents, and property managers harmless for any injuries. You must follow all rules—no diving, no use while intoxicated, no solo use, rinse or shower before entering, and no drinks in the water—and failure to comply may incur surcharges.

13. Please clean up after yourself. Excessive mess is a $500 cleaning charge. Thank you in advance for treating the home as if it were your own. :)

14. Illegal or abusive use of the internet is strictly prohibited. Please note the desert is remote and many outside factors can affect WiFi. We cannot guarantee WiFi speeds or connectivity due to outages, neighborhood bandwidth usage, or factors outside of our control due to the WiFi company.

We will call twice if we can’t get through and the guest is required to respond within thirty minutes of our initial call to receive notice of any violation - per county ordinance. Otherwise there is a fine of $1,000 USD that the guest is responsible for (fined by the county.) If guests would prefer or need to provide an alternate number, they must do so before checking in. Any violation of local or county laws that result in any fines will be the sole responsibility of the guest.

15. We do our best to be helpful when plans change. Please note that reschedule requests will be handled the same as our cancellation policy. Any reschedule requests less than 14 days out will need to cancel and rebook. The canceled reservation will be subject to our cancellation policy.

16. You must acknowledge there is surveillance recording on the property - ring doorbell at front entrance and security cameras monitoring the driveway. There are no recording devices that face the private, enclosed backyard or inside of the home.

17. Only a maximum of four cars are allowed to park on the property.

18. Please be respectful of the space. There is unique, vintage furniture and decor throughout the home. We value honesty... If something breaks, please let us know. If we discover an item is broken, damaged or missing without any prior written notice, we will charge a replacement fee of $100 per item in addition to the actual cost to replace or repair items. If total cost exceeds the deposit amount, we will bill your credit card or collect the funds through the Resolution Center to cover replacement costs of damaged, missing, or broken items.

19. We always encourage guests to purchase traveler’s insurance in case any unforeseen circumstances should arise that are out of our control.

20. Please NO shoes on the carpet or upstairs

Failure to follow any of the House Rules will be considered a breach of contract resulting in immediate cancellation of reservation without refund and/or withholding part or all of the deposit in addition to any damages sought.

1. Maximum Occupancy: Per City Code and Guidelines, The maximum number of overnight occupants of a Short Term Rental at a time is 8 guests, with an exception of children under the age of 6. Commercial parties, weddings, receptions, fundraisers, and conferences are prohibited because they are large-scale events exceeding the maximum allowed occupancy. Code Violations: Violation of any provision shall result in a $1000 fine every day by the city which we will charge to the guest. The guest booking the stay must be booking on their own behalf and not for another individual or group. No unregistered guests (including visitors) are allowed without prior approval. We may request the names of all guests and visitors over 18 in order to verify compliance with house rules and City of Placentia laws. Violation of these rules will result in cancellation of your reservation.

2. Noise ordinance: Per City Code and Guidelines: Quiet time is from 10pm-7am. Complaints from neighbors will result in a $1,000 city fine, paid by the guests and it puts us in threat of losing our license, so it’s very important to both you and us. Please come in during the hours of 10pm to 7pm and make sure windows and doors are closed if you are up and hanging out after 10pm. Noise travels far and our neighbors are close. *Friendly reminder: our neighbors are not on vacation. They get up early for work and to get their kids to school, so please be respectful.

3. No smoking or vaping in the house. No marijuana or drug use onsite.

4. No EV charging or cryptocurrency mining.

5. No pets

If these rules are broken you will be asked to vacate the property. It`s very important to you, us and our rental license to adhere to these rules. Thank you again for understanding and respecting us, our home, and our community!
