Enjoy your stay in Thermopolis at this newer construction, 3 bedroom 2 bath home. The Big Horn river is one of the best fisheries in the state, and you have access to it right outside your doors. On any given morning it is the norm to see pheasants or deer walking by, along with many different species of waterfowl enjoying the waters of the river. Easy access to the town of Thermopolis, which offers a world class dinosaur museum, and two commercial swimming pools where you can enjoy the water from the natural mineral hot springs. Boysen reservoir is 30min away, while the scenic town of Cody, and Yellowstone Park are within a 2 hour drive. The Riverview Guesthouse is great if you are in town to fish, hunt, explore the local area, or for a base while making day trips. We do not have a TV with DVD player and HD antenna for local channels. Our intent with this guesthouse is to help people engage more with each other and their surroundings, while getting away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The location is ideal to enjoy a variety of outdoor activities, and board games are provided if weather keeps you indoors. The trout fishing along this stretch of the river is very good with both public and private access to the river. This location allows nearly 6,000 feet of public fishing access along the river bank downstream from the house, and almost 2,000 feet of private river access upstream. We do have kayaks available on request, along with tour opportunities in Thermopolis and the surrounding area.
- "Very nice " - "Beautiful location on the river about 10 minutes north of Thermopolis. House is awesome for a visit to nearby family. Space for the kids to run and play. So much better than a hotel!" - "We thoroughly enjoyed our stay for the weekend! The beds are all very comfortable and the house had all the amenities we needed to cook for our family. I particularly enjoyed bird watching on the river while sipping my morning coffee. Sherman was communicative and helpful. Definitely want to come again!"

A home away from home. It is not fancy, it is cozy. A place to relax. Close to Yellowstone Park, amazing fishing on the Big Horn River. Enjoy the hot mineral pools, or visit the amazing Dinosaur Center.
I will provide my personal cell phone number after you have booked.
One of the nicest neighborhoods in town. Great friendly neighbors on each side.
Cozy house is part of a duplex, it is the back unit. There is a nice back porch with a large overhang that is very pleasant to sit under even in bad weather. It is a great place to watch the sun come up. There is also a concrete pad you can park on, or park a truck and camper next to it. If you use the back door there are no steps to get inside. A cute little house under huge beautiful silver leaf maple trees. Has outdoor barbecue grills and lots of shaded outdoor areas.
The house is located only 4 or 5 blocks from most of the restaurants in town. By driving it is only 2 minutes to almost anyplace in town.
Our Cozy house is unit #2 as it is part of a duplex.
- "This sweet bungalow was perfect for our family girl getaway. Easy to find, and an easy couple of blocks to downtown, if walking is your thing. Just a short drive to the hot springs. The neighborhood was a delight. The owner asks, that you enjoy yourselves, and we certainly did." - "A really nice place for a small family to stay right in the center of Thermopolis." - "Had a great time at jurrasic fest" - "It was great to have the extra space and kitchen to prepare meals."

The first unit of a duplex, this home is furnished with a western decor and many antiques, yet has modern amenities. Close to downtown, but in a wonderful old neighborhood. A great escape to the old west.

This is a very nice and friendly neighborhood. It is only 4 blocks from most of the restaurants and the downtown area and only a few minutes drive from the hot pools and dinosaur museum. Parking is allowed on the street and is free. There is usually lots of parking space as the neighbors on both sides have driveways and they park there.
There is a laundry room just off the kitchen. If you didn't remember detergent there is usually some there. There are also 2 barbeque grills on site that you are invited to use outside. Enjoy the shaded yard under the huge trees that are over a hundred years old.
This house is half of a duplex, the other side is also a vacation home listed as cozy house. Both are 2 bedrooms with a single bathroom. It is in a an older established neighborhood. The neighbors on each side are friendly, and they have 2 adorable tiny white dogs that are the official greeters that love to be petted. This is a great community with warm and friendly people. Enjoy wonder meals at our local restaurants, or cook your own in the fully stocked kitchen. You can soak in the hot pools, go fish in our blue ribbon river, see one of the world's best dinosaur museums, or go hiking in the beautiful countryside. Enjoy your stay.
It is a very short walk to the downtown area, only 4 or 5 blocks. Most of the restaurants are located there, it is only a few minutes drive to the hot springs and dinosaur museum.

The property address is 627 Clark, the front door will be unlocked at 4, and the key will be on the kitchen table. The washer and dryer are downstairs. Please be careful as the stairs are steep with low head clearance. There is a huge backyard, but be careful of steps as they are not uniform. There is both street parking and plenty of parking in the back if you prefer off street parking. The password for the wifi is quicknest795. My personal cellphone number is ******** free to call me if you need anything.

We were only there for one night, but it was the perfect spot to stop and get some sleep before moving on." - "Great little house. Updated bathroom, clean, tiny kitchen but had everything we needed. We didn’t really cook anything anyway. There was coffee, sugar & creamer which was all we needed. There was a grill for outdoor cooking but the landscape wasn’t really a place you’d want to hang out at. That would be the only negative if it even matters to you. Definitely would stay again."

- "My family of four and 2 of my daughter's friends stayed here for her 30th birthday. We were in Wyoming to take her to the Dinosaur Dig at the Wyoming Dinosaur Center. This property exceeded all of our expectations! Dale the host was beyond wonderful, from answering questions to offering to mail reading glasses he thought we left behind. The house is adorable, so comfortable and immaculately clean. it could not be better situated in Thermopolis. It was 30 seconds from the Dinosaur Center and less than a minute to the Hot Springs. We cannot thank Dale enough and we will definitely stay at Ouch Grandma's again when back in Thermopolis."

Everything as perfect - just like home." - "Has everything you need for a couple of days stay Clean and easily accessible" - "The property was as advertised. Everything we needed was provided except my wife was surprised when she realized that there was not a hair dryer. It would have been a big plus if the patio on the river had protection from the sun and weather. Overall it was a nice place."

- "Clean, close to the Hot Springs Park, downtown and The Wyoming Dinasour Museum. Loved the deck, lots of room, nice open kitchen, dining and living room area. Nice to be right next to the river as well. Would have liked a fire pit maybe? And maybe a hot tub? But overall, excellent!! Great place to meet family, it was a great getaway!" - "Amazing house that easily accommodated two families consisting of five adults and four grandchildren. We enjoyed having ample room to visit and play board games together. The yard and deck were fabulous so we spent a good amount of time playing yard games. The house:
Our cute and comfortable kid-friendly house was built in 1918 and is located in historic downtown Thermopolis, Wyoming. Remodeled in 2023, it has all new appliances and modern amenities yet maintains that old western charm of Wyoming. One bedroom has a queen bed and the other has two twins, and both bedrooms as well as the living room have smart TVs. We also offer a reading library, board games, and kids toys upon request. There are two adult bikes, two kids bikes, and a bike trailer for the littles.
Extra towels are provided for your trips to the mineral hot springs. A local tip: don’t wash your swimsuit with other clothing after you’ve been for a soak, as it will make everything smell like sulphur!
This house is over 100 years old and has lots of character. Please be advised that the floors have settled over time and are slightly uneven in some areas. We have a free-standing AC unit in the living room, however there is no central AC. The bedroom fans help circulate air and keep the house cool, and at night it’s best to turn off the AC and open the windows.
The town:
The house is at the end of the main street in Thermopolis, just one block from local restaurants and bars. It's a short walk along the Bighorn River to world class fishing and Hot Springs State Park, where you'll find the free mineral bath house, two swimming complexes with waterslides, mineral terraces boardwalk, and the swinging bridge. Also nearby you can visit the Wyoming Dinosaur Center or drive through the pasture where the buffalo roam. Thermopolis is a wonderful stop about an hour from the Big Horn Mountains, two hours from Cody, Wyoming, and a bit more than two hours to Yellowstone National Park.
- "Super convient location" - "Highly recommended! Warmly decorated, simple and accommodating. Very meticulous! Lots of little extras that you will make notice of. We will be back! Thank you, Lettie!!" - "We loved this beautiful historic home! The location was amazing, we could walk to the shops and restaurants and it was very close to the hot springs and the park. The house was clean, comfortable and so well-appointed. We will look forward to staying here again when we come back next June. Highly recommend this lovely property"

The Homestead is a newly renovated home that has been decorated in the modern farmhouse look. We have plenty of room for a family or friend get together. We've decked this home out with an arcade basketball hoop, foosball table, pool table, air hockey as well as ping pong! Our large backyard is still a work in progress but it has a fire pit and the back deck has a BBQ for your use.
You can contact us any time via the portal you have booked through and we will also give our cell phone numbers when check in instructions are sent.
The neighborhood is very calm and quiet. They've put in a brand new playground at the park across the street from the house. The park also has basketball hoops.
There is plenty of parking space in front of the house and on the side of the house. You can park a boat or a camper. Once the backyard is finished we will have an enclosed area for you to park your boat or camper within the fenced area. The deck in the backyard was just redone as well and it looks beautiful. It will be a great spot to soak up some sun or BBQ on the grill.
The house is located only 4 or 5 blocks from most of the restaurants in town. By driving it is only 2 minutes to almost anyplace in town.
- "Great property with lots of space and plenty of beds for 5 adults. Clean and updated." - "It was very comfortable for my family and myself and my service dog to stay. The 4 kids and some of the adults absolutely loved the games to play in the house. They had to do some yard work while we were there which we had to work around but overall I would highly recommend this house." - "We were the first people to stay in this property. Everything was brand new. Everything! It was such a treat. It had 4 bedrooms that could hold up to 10 comfortably. It would be a great place for a big family with a bunch of kids or maybe two families. Smart TVs worked great and internet was excellent. Beds were comfortable. There was a good sized deck and grill that we did not use and the backyard was a work in progress, which we knew in advance. It will be beautiful. Looks like a nice brick patio and lots of rooms for kids to run around. Very easy to get in and out via the side of the house with direct access to the kitchen and lower level. It was walking distance to the center of town and there were parks nearby. Keep in mind that the properties in this area are 50-100 years old, but this place was very up to date with all the modern conveniences. Jerry and Alyssa could not have been more helpful. Lots of great outdoor activities, museums and a few good restaurants in town."

- "This rental is a MUST!! The owners are so incredibly helpful and kind. The outdoor hot tub at night under the wide-open sky full of stars is incredible. The house is so cute and decorated so nicely. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need. The bathroom had very nice towels and products. The best thing about this house though is the incredible expansive view of the Wind River, the canyon opening from it and the Big Horn River that winds and flows by the ranches just below the house. We thoroughly enjoyed sitting outside every night for drinks, dinner and hot tubbing! Spent our days fishing, hiking and floating which was fabulous too. Will definitely stay here again!"

Dog trot Log Cabin with porches all the way around, with two queens, one full kitchen bath, dining room and fireplace. Cabin right on the river. Hot Springs close by, beautiful Mountain View’s with trophy trout fishing.
- "This cabin was a relatively new listing when we reserved it, so it felt like a bit of a gamble. It's not the easiest to find -- through 2 gates, over a dry creek bed and on a narrow lane -- but the owner provided good directions and the effort was worth it. The location is stellar, and we put in our paddleboards into the Bighorn River basically from our deck...for a 2-hour float to the Hot Springs St. Park. It was hot outside, but the cabin is cooled with a couple A/Cs which made it comfortable. The kitchen is furnished with basics. The cabin is near hot mineral springs and the shower water smelled like sulpher, which took some getting used to, but was fine. No Wifi, which was fine with us too. Cell phone service spotty. If you're looking for a spacious, relaxing-by-the-river getaway, this may be it."

It's easy to walk into two from the house and it's dozy. Outside doesn't look like much, but the inside has been updated. It smelled like smoke when we arrived, so we aired it out. It would be helpful to have the WiFi info provided upon check-in." - "Doesn’t look like much from the outside, but the inside has has been nicely updated. Love the Ranch Oak furnishings on the porch area. There was an issue with the hot water heater, but host responded & got it promptly taken care of. House is cozy & clean. Towels are soft & shower upgrade is very nice. A/C needs updated, but it is my understanding that this is in the works. Only complaint for us is the master bed is low to the ground, not good for older knees and the bed frame creaks with every movement. "

- "Cozy cabin on the river." - "The cabin and property have potential. There are two rentals, not obvious from the listing. We walked in and were greeted by moths. Not one or two, but too numerous to count. There were dead bugs on the floor behind the couch, and dust was under the beds. There was a moth in the refrigerator. We were tired from our drive so we stayed the night. A couple moths flew into my forehead while I was trying to sleep. We could hear them banging into the window in the vaulted ceiling. There were numerous wasp nests in the eaves and a bird had made a nest in the wood siding. We contacted the property manager to let them know we were leaving after one night. They responded that the moths were to be expected this time of year and she had one in her tub. We could have handled a few, but this was an infestation. My wife grew up in this area, and we visited several friends in the area who did not have moth problems in their homes. Mention should be made that it is a long dirt/gravel driveway that could be tricky when muddy. One other suggestion is to have microwave safe dishes. The dishes provided were metal."

Only thing is the couch is pretty stiff, so don’t plan on using it as an extra bed. Cozy front porch and plenty of parking. Easy check in and check out. Highly recommend floating the river while you are there, the hot spring itself is worth seeing, but we prefer natural landscape over a pool. Great for tubes or SUP, kid friendly. These two rooms are located on the main level. The last bedroom is upstairs, you can get there by going through the laundry room. This room has a queen bed and a twin bed as well as a smart TV with a gaming platform that is hooked up to play some retro games.
The kitchen is fully stocked with all your cooking and dining needs as well as a fridge, an electric stove and microwave. Our breakfast nook features a coffee bar which we have included all you need to make a lovely cup of Joe. What would a kitchen be without a dishwasher, perfectly placed right next to the sink with pods located underneath the sink when you're ready to start it up.
The dining room has a table that is built for multiple people. When you arrive it will be set up as seating for four but it is capable of being pulled apart with extra leaves inside of it to make the table have seating for up to eight people. There are extra chairs that can be used around the room.
The living room has a couch and two recliners as well as a coffee table and of course a smart television that is capable of letting you login to any streaming services you may have a login for.
Unfortunately Thermopolis isn't quite big enough to have public transportation but this home is centrally located. Mack's Market, our local grocery store, is about 4 blocks away and our main road called Broadway has amazing restaurants, fun shops and a natural food store is only 3 blocks away. To learn more about all the things to see and do while in Thermopolis just go to Thermopolis.com it is our favorite website for all visitors.
This home has some unique features due to its age. The floors have been partially leveled over the years but are noticeably uneven in places, and one of the bathrooms has a lower-than-standard doorway that may require some to duck. Because the home was built before electricity, some light switches are located higher up or in unexpected places-- like needing to cross the living room to turn on the lights. These historic touches are all part of the farmhouse's charm, reflecting over a century of life, including generations of vintage phones, laundry equipment, and old time craftsmanship.
- "The house worked out great for us and there were no issues. The only things that might need modification are the kitchen drawers are hard to open and close so someone may damage them if they are not careful. As you know, the woodstove does not have a functioning stove pipe so someone from a warm area not experienced with fireplaces my buy a bundle of wood from Maverick and create a huge problem. So maybe fix the door so it cannot be opened."
