The cabin had comfortable beds (enough for 8 and extra if needed) in two bedrooms with a wood fire and firewood provided. The kitchen had everything you need to cook your own meals. The cabin is very secluded, warm and clean. There is no TV or Wifi, which was another positive for us. The nature reserve is beautiful and there are walking trails nearby that can be done with a young family. The environment is the main focus of the site and every effort has been made by the owners to ensure that visitors are doing their bit. Pademelons and possums come visiting our porch. The owner is friendly and knowledgeable and we had a great experience. We hired a Hyundai I20 and had no issues getting up hills but you just have to take care getting there. The Huon Valley and Ranelagh is a beautiful place and nothing is too far away, especially if it's nature that you want to see. We thoroughly recommend a stay at this very special place."
