This is a fully furnished beachfront apartment which has been completely renovated in October 2016. The beachfront accommodation has two bedrooms, spacious living room and separate dining room, brand new kitchen and bathroom, new carpet, freshly painted all with new furniture.

The apartment consists of two bedrooms both of which can accommodate king beds. The king beds in both rooms can be split into two single ensembles and for the fifth person a trundle bed is available. The living areas are spacious and bright looking onto Kingston Beach and the mouth of the Derwent River and the dining room has direct views of Mt Wellington. The lounge room offers ample seating with a 3 seater and 2 seater lounge, LCD TV, stereo, and reverse cycle air-conditioning.

The brand new modern kitchen has the latest appliances with a microwave, fridge/freezer, oven, dishwasher, glass touch control cook top, and other small appliances including kettle, toaster, sandwich press, cutlery, crockery, utensils, saucepans and glassware to name a few for your short or extended stay in Kingston Beach. The dining room adjoins the kitchen and has seating for 6 people.

Double sliding glass doors from the lounge room provides access to a balcony looking over the water which is the perfect outlook for you to relax with an afternoon drink whilst watching life go by on Kingston Beach. This can also include watching the finish of the Sydney to Hobart race as the yachts pass through the mouth of the Derwent River. Just fifteen minutes from Hobart, it makes an ideal base for all your Southern Tasmanian tourism destinations.

19 Blue has been furnished and equipped with love and care: homely country style furniture with lots of little extras much appreciated by guests. Homemade soap in the bathroom. You can even buy Soap and Body Care Products and some lovely jams and chutneys made by the owners.

A verandah runs the full length of the back of the cottage which overlooks Blackmans Bay. A private deck, at the front, makes an ideal place for a relaxing drink or a sunny morning breakfast. The cottage overlooks the owner's vegetable garden from which you may pick vegetables for your own needs. At present there are two pademelons (small wallabies) delighting our guests........

Parking is off street.

19 Blue is fully equipped with a queen size bed and laundry facilities. The kitchen has a cooktop and microwave oven.

The laundry has a washing machine with a tub dry feature then you only need to hang your washing out on the line or over the clothes airer for a short time.

We provide a loaf of homemade bread on arrival! You will find free range eggs from the owner's chooks, muesli or Weetbix. Leaf Tea or tea bags, ground coffee or instant.

The cottage is well insulated with double glazing. Heating is a reverse cycle heat pump keeping you warm in winter and cool in summer.

The lounge area has a television/DVD player with magazines and a folder with day trip itinerary suggestions. CD's and a good range of DVD's are provided as are board games.

The Bayview Shopping centre is just down the road with a newsagency, pharmacy, doctor's surgery, supermarket, takeaway and other specialty shops.

Blackmans Bay beach is a ten minute walk away where you will find 2 excellent restaurants: The Beachouse and Jack Loves Red. Also Bombay in the Bay for the BEST Indian food!

Kingston Beach is about ten minutes' walk away, in the other direction, which has a cafe strip and other shops. Both beaches have lovely cliff-top walks.

19 Blue is central for all the major tourist destinations; the Huon Valley, D'Entrecasteaux Channel with the ferry over to Bruny Island just twenty minutes drive away. Port Arthur is around one and a half hour's drive. Hobart with all that our lovely capital city has to offer just a short drive in.

To cater for elderly visitors it needs some points of upgrade - grab bars in the bathroom and because there are no rails on the front steps (which are unusually high) guests should be advised that access for elderly and disabled guest is around the side into the back door. There a ramp would make it most suitable for such access. On the whole a great place to stay for all though a challenge for my 90 year old mother, who nevertheless was impressed once she got inside."

Great new walking and bike tracks to the shops 4 km in one direction.This neat comfortable no fuss home is ideal for a family with children in mind. It is relatively new with 2 bathrooms. One item needed attention was the mulch around the trampoline, the exposed plastic underneath is slippery when wet. This is only a concern if little children or adults caring for them are using that area. The decking and rest of the grassed areas great to enjoy the view of Mt Wellington while relaxing. The home supplies rubber scuffs in the front hallway great idea as although in built up area there are many wallaby dropping on the footpaths, you might see them at night.The host Bryan was informative, quick to respond to any query and happy to consider any suggestions. I was visiting family living in the area so for me this was a home away from home without being a chore to maintain neat and clean yet extremely comfortable. Definitely booking again,"

Access to the house is via a steep drive and electronic key pad on the front door. The number of cars in the driveway is limited to 3 at any one time - to enable turning space and to ensure car doors don't swing wide on to other cars.

If you wish to avoid the first flight of stairs in the house, alternative access to the middle floor is via the sloped side entrance accessible through a child proof gate.

Many of our guests are from interstate or international locations - if this is you and you need changes to check in and out times to match your flight arrival and departure, please ask since we can usually accommodate them.

Property is on a main road which gets busy during commuting hours.

Guests can use all spaces except the garage and any rooms/spaces labelled as 'no entry'.

Large open plan living and dining area, modern and fully equipped kitchen and bathroom, and a second toilet upstairs. The living area and water facing balcony is on the top floor; this floor has fantastic views to the beach and mountain.
The bedrooms are sizeable with comfortable beds, as well as built in wardrobes. One of the bedrooms has direct access to the charming patio area.
The private, fully gated garden is well kept and charming. Help yourself to the herbs from the established garden, enjoy the private patio area, or dine alfresco with the 4-seater outdoor table.
Kingston Beach is the perfect place to relax and do as much or as little as you like. There are free BBQs available at one end of the beach, located at Browns River.
Kingston Beach is just 12km or 15 minutes by car to Hobart - free off street undercover parking is included with your stay.
This townhouse is centrally located at Kingston Beach: there is a bus stop on your doorstep to Hobart; there are local cafe's and restaurants just a short walk away; Kingston has a range of shopping and food outlets as well as library; the area has several amazing cliff top walks - including to the shot tower.
Kingston Beach is a great base for exploring all Hobart and the region has to offer - including the city, MONA, the Huon Valley, Bruny Island.
