Breakfast was delicious, fresh, and sorted. Many options for dinning along the street and to purchase cheese which is their main product. People in the city are friendly and glad to assist foreigners. I parked in front of the hotel, and it turned out they charge for parking, but the hotel told us we could park there. The person in charge came when we were leaving and charge me correctly and I pay with card. Highly recommended for a nice Kars layover."

The building is, which has the unique Kars character, but not the rooms or inside. They are newly furnished and quite comfortable. The service has been wonderful. The breakfast is served on your table (not an open buffet) but you should imagine an open buffet on your table with lots of variety. The hotel has rooms on the ground floor but no elevator to the second floor. It is mainly wooden structure inside and the sound proofing isn't that great. Also, if you need complete darkness in the morning to be able to sleep late, there isn't a good solution. We had a wonderful stay here and will definitely choose this hotel again if we revisit."

The room safe was locks shut but no one seemed to know how to fix it, the breakfast selection was not constantly replenished (constantly had to request replenishment of items). When we first checked in we were allocated an small dark attic room whose ceilings were too low and not practical for someone over six foot. Eventually we were offered the bright twin room on the first floor (shown on this website as the ‘superior’ twin we thought we were booking. We were told on check in that breakfast was included but in checking out we were charged £5 a day for breakfast (which was not value for money and we would not have taken had we known it was extra to our room rate).
