For all your necessities you have to catch a taxi because no public transport is available. The hotel provides a taxi service that you pay according to the distance of your destination. If the door wasn’t shut properly, they spread into the room and bit us. While this place has potential, the constant overcharging and lack of honesty left a sour taste. I’d strongly recommend staying on the other side of the island, where things are more convenient and, based on our experience, the people seem much more trustworthy. "

- "We came to ko lanta in low season and the island seemed quieter than we expected. It gave us a chance to really relax around the beautiful resort based right on Klong nin beach. I’ve been impressed with the amount of staff busily doing their jobs. As an early riser, I’ve seen them sweep the walkways, scoop the leaves out of the pools and sweep the beach daily. The staff helped us arrange day trips, car hire and laundry. But most importantly, they always greeted us with friendliness and made us feel extremely welcome. Our trip included stays in fantastic resorts in ko lipe and ko phi phi as well as ko lanta but it was here we felt and amazing connection to the people and staff. Sak, the manager, was really friendly to us and we had some great chats about life on ko lanta. I also had some jokes with the receptionists including Hah. And Pen, one if the owners was really fair with us when plans dictated we had to leave a day earlier than scheduled. In 4 days we hired a car and toured the whole island in a day, visited an ethical elephant sanctuary which was an unbelievable experience and got some well needed rest and relaxation time in. When we left earlier than breakfast time they made us a simple take away breakfast the night before! If you want to just relax in paradise definitely visit ko lanta and definitely stay at Lanta Miami! It’s a great resort and private sanctuary away from the hustle and bustle of the Thai streets. - "This villa is amazing the pictures really do not show how amazing it is, I couldn’t believe the villa was all ours it was So huge with amazing views, the host Jobee was amazing organising scooters and taxi’s to and from the port for us. I extended our stay by an additional two days. The second bedroom is like a second house with double bed and en-suite with an outside shower. The pool has great views over the mountain to the sea. As does the villa amazing views from every window. The hill to get to the villa is quite steep but is less than a ten minute walk away , we paid for a taxi from the village back mainly due to the heat this cost 150TB. The village has a number of restaurants and bars which we tried. There is a 7/11 in the village also which is convenient. 10 minutes drive from the villa is an ethical elephant sanctuary which is amazing , also the pier where you can see the natural mangroves and if you’re lucky the driver will stop for you to feed the monkeys. Old town has a lovely charm and you can hire boats to visit the islands . Loved my stay in Koh lanta mainly due to staying at this villa and been looked after by our host."

Staff were friendly and the air conditioned bungalow was comfortable with good wifi. Unfortunately, when staying for 4 days you get to choose to have your room made up on 2 of those days...that's not how hotels are supposed to work is it?!" - "Staff were great and food was good. Mamanong really took care of us and we rented a bike from her brother which is essential to explore the island, particularly as khlong Kong beach is very rocky so you can't swim there. - "Very relaxing area. The beach is not crowded or over run with full mooners. The people running the place are so nice and the message at this place is great." - "We live in Thailand, and so we've been to many islands and many resorts. This was one our all-time favorites. The staff were extremely kind and attentive, the location was at the quiet end of Koh Lanta, and the food and beachfront ambiance were great. We had easy access to many of the tours offered on the island, from snorkeling at nearby islands to kayaking amongst the mangroves to hiking in the national park. We rented scooters for the day, visited the local waterfall, watched other people ride elephants and ate lots of good food. As for the property itself, it's neither at the top end nor the bottom end in terms of price and comfort, but it was just right for our tastes -- not too fancy, not too basic. The nearby "town" is a bit unkempt and could deteriorate further in the near future as more and more people build hotels and shops ... and inevitably it seems throw their trash by the wayside. But the resort itself is tidy and somewhat secluded at one end of a longish the beach. All in all, a great stay that we'll remember for years."
