Fishing Point Lake House is overlooking Eraring Bay towards Wangi Wangi (South aspect) which is about 3 Km across water.

Great spot, the house is the classic weekender cottage with all its charms. The house has a lakeside feel with everything you need for a relaxing break. Great views.

2 bedrooms with built in wardrobes. 1 bedroom with Queen bed, other bedroom has 4 singles (2 are trundles). Slleeps 4 comfortably. Rates are for 4 people, maximum 6 guests, extra charges apply.

1 blanket each and bedspreads. 8 pillows. 1 Queen , 4 singles. Linen packs available for additional fee per person.

2 Futon sofas (form into 2 additional double beds, linen not supplied) on the large L shaped sunroom overlooking the lake.

Cottage L shaped kitchen with granite benchtops, new LPG gas stove, microwave and banquet size electric frypan, wok and outside gas BBQ. Crockery, cutlery, cookware, utensils and glassware. Upside down fridge (also beery fridge in The Shed). Outside gas BBQ from the paved covered patio.

1 bathroom with bath and shower over bath.

Laundry and separate toilet with access through bathroom or from the rear patio outside. Has a new 5.5 Kg top loader washing machine.

Lounge with 40" HD Digital LCD TV and DVD player. Front bedroom (with single beds has a 68 cm TV which has digital freeview channels, (GO, One HD etc) and DVD player.

Rathmines shops 2 Km -IGA Minimart, Takeaway, Newsagency, Cafe / restaurant, Chinese Rest Bowling Club, Bottleshop, Service station, pharmacy, ATM.

Wangi Wangi is 5Km and has a variety of shops, cafes, clubs and a pub.

Toronto is 7 Km, with Coles, Woolies, Aldi and a variety of shops, banks etc)

Lock up single car garage with workshop. Large block of land, ample parking for cars and boats. Nearest Boat ramp with public jetty is 1Km. Kiaben Bay also has a boat ramp and jetty which is 3.5Km north of the property. Rathmines has lovely waterfront parklands, playgrounds and a concrete walking/bike track, which is 2.5 Km north of the property.

Alternatively, access for a boat to be parked at the rear of property (confirm with owner - 2.2m wide vehicle access). (temporary fishing licences are available from the Dive shop 200m. Cycle/Walking paths & tracks - There are walking paths in the area that start 150m from your front door. You can head for the beach or stroll along the edge of the lake. If you are after adventure there is an abundance of native bush in the area to be explored or snorkel at the beautiful lake.

A waterfront property, facing north, it is a great place to stay any time of the year and wind down. Cool in Summer and warm in Winter with 180-degree lake views. Quiet & peaceful, do everything or do nothing.
It has absolute deep-water frontage with a jetty to fish off or tie your boat off. Such a great spot for early morning stand-up paddle board excursion or kayak adventure. The point is such a great spot for swimming and fishing as well. There is a boat ramp located 400 metres at the end of the street.

The space
The front yard (roadside) is fully fenced. Consists of a grassed area, clothesline, garden and BBQ. It has a double car port which has a caravan on one side of the carport. A path from the carport leads you to the side entry of the 3 bedroom very spacious house which nestles on a waterfront (backyard) which has a grassed area and concrete ramp to the lake.

Guest access
All of the house is yours except a boatshed that is underneath the house. A caravan (storage purposes only) is residing in half of the double carport.

Other things to note
BYO standup paddle board or kayak. Don't forget the fishing rod as it is a great fishing spot.

Pots can move in lake tidal waters & the wind and can cause stressful and extremely costly damage to our neighbours boats. Crab pot lines easily become wrapped around props and keels as well as mooring lines. When this happens, it is not a simple matter of removing the crab pot line, it can cost up to $20000 in repairs to the damaged equipment on the boat. Guests may be held liable against a damage claim so a clear reminder to be wary of placement and at all times to respect neighbouring property.

If you are unsure, please enquire before booking.

Note: The neighbouring property is undergoing renovations which are registered with council as a construction site. Weekday guests may experience daytime noise and heavier than normal traffic in the immediate street area. While these works are beyond our control, we assure you that they will adhere to NSW work times and standards. We appreciate your understanding and patience during this time.

How We Price: The booking price is based on a minimum number of guests. Any guests above this number are chargeable on a per person/per night rate. The system will automatically calculate the correct rate when you enter the required number of guests. Reductions in guest numbers are non-refundable.

Arrival Details: Access to the property is made simple. You’ll receive an access code via SMS just before 3pm on your arrival day, which you’ll use for the duration of your stay. Standard check-in is at 3pm. While an earlier arrival may be possible, it cannot be confirmed until the afternoon prior to your arrival. If an earlier check-in is available, we will send you an SMS by 4pm the day before to confirm.

Linen: 1 set of full bed linens and 1 bath towel per person are supplied. Guests may wish to bring extra towels depending on the length of their stay. Pool/Lake/Beach towels are BYO.

Guest Amenities: We are Eco-Friendly - to help reduce wastage, we supply a single bottle of 3in1 shampoo/conditioner/body wash in all showers. In addition, guests are advised to bring their own personal preferred bathroom products/amenities.

Wifi is provided complimentary on behalf of the owner. It is intended to be used in an appropriate manner by all guests. As the service is provided by an external 3rd party, Weekenda cannot and do not guarantee the speed or efficacy of this property's wifi connection nor do we pay any compensation for interruption of service for any reason.

Pools: If the property has a Swimming Pool then it will be opened for swimming for the start of the NSW September School Holidays and closed and Winterised immediately after the NSW Easter School Holidays have been completed.

Fires and Firewood: Internal wood fireplaces and outdoor fire pits only operate after the NSW Easter School Holidays up to before the NSW September School Holidays in line with NSW state fire restrictions. Please note we will normally supply enough firewood, kindling & fire-starters for between 1-2 nights of your stay. For guests wishing to have additional fires, we suggest BYO Firewood, Kindling, and Starters which can be easily purchased from the local service stations.

No Party Policy: All reservations operate under a Strict No-Party & Non-Excessive Noise Policy as prescribed in the NSW Short-Term Letting Legislation and Local Council Laws. This property is in a Residential Area. Failure to comply can put the security bond into jeopardy and may lead to police-assisted eviction and/or extra charges being levied. We hate to have to note this but the reality is that so far this year we have had to evict 3 groups for overstacking/bad/anti-social behavior.

Extra Guests / Visitors: The number of people nominated on your booking is the maximum number of people that are allowed to be on the property at any one time, including visitors. Visitors may be requested and if approved must be approved in writing with Weekenda staff. Simply put, if Mum and Dad want to come over for a BBQ then we are likely to approve. If 10 extra people want to stop by we are unlikely to approve, which could put your booking at risk. We will always try to be reasonable with reasonable people within property constraints and House Rules.

Cameras and Noise Monitoring: There is 2 external security camera installed at this location presently but the owner reserves the right at any time to install additional external cameras at their discretion. Cameras are positioned to view the front door and backyard area for external security monitoring only. All cameras are installed in line with local regulations. A noise monitoring device is installed - fines apply to guests found to have disconnected, removed or damaged the noise device. These devices are used to monitor and maintain ours and guests responsibilities under the NSW STR Code of Conduct.

Guest Registration / ID Check : Weekenda requires every guest to complete and sign an electronic guest registration prior to arrival which will ask for photo ID i.e. a copy of your Drivers Licence or Passport. The primary booker will also be required to complete a list with the guests names and actual mobile numbers. In the event we are unable to reach the primary booker, it is very important we can get a hold of other guests. These documents will be deleted after your departure. Access Codes are only released to Registered and Verified Guests.

Critical Update: Due to an unprecedented influx of fraudulent bookings, we are forced to impose a policy that protects our clients, industry and community against those attempting to commit fraud and theft. Any booking made within 5 days of arrival is required to provide a photo of a valid credit card in the same full name of the primary guest to match the supplied identification document. Failure of these documents matching will result in the booking being cancelled and all funds processed returned to the original card assumed as stolen and thus a fraudulent transaction. We trust we have our honest and genuine customers understanding this policy is in place to protect all parties.

Insurance: As always, but ever so more due to recent times, we strongly encourage any holidaymakers to obtain a very inexpensive 3rd Party Domestic Travel Insurance Policy to cover you for all manners of matters which may restrict travel. This is particularly helpful for things like Hunter Valley Concert cancellations, Covid or Medical and Other Emergencies for which we don't provide refunds, and anything which falls under our standard Terms & Conditions irrespective of the reason. TERMS and CONDITIONS: 'A Lakehouse Escape on the Waterfront' Self-catering Furnished Accommodation.

Deposit is required to secure the booking. Payment of the rental deposit constitutes the clients acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.

Client cancellation more than 90 days before booking date: full refund.

Number of Guests/visitors should not exceed the number stated on the Confirmation Notice or subsequently agreed in writing or email. Extra guests $420/week booking or $130/wkend booking. A total maximum of 8 guests allowed.

No smoking is allowable in/at the house. Breach-Additional cleaning and deodorizing charges will be imposed.

The house is only for the use of guests on the booking. Large Parties, Functions, Weddings, Receptions, Conferences, Schoolies, pets - are strictly prohibited. The local Council regulations clearly specify for this house- large parties/ functions/ weddings/ receptions/conferences/schoolies- are illegal and an annoyance to neighbours etc. Breach may result in loss of your bond and additional payments and council fines.

Any damage, breakages, theft and loss identified during the stay or on check-out are the guest’s responsibility this includes anything obstructive or damaging put down the sinks, toilets or drain holes; also guest’s must ensure that nothing is done during the stay that may prejudice any insurance policy or warranty or increase the premium payable under any insurance policy held by the owner. Charges may be imposed for costs, repair or replacement of any such items.

Departure - the property should be left in a similar state to its condition on arrival. The check-out guidelines provided in the guest information folder located in the front foyer are to be followed to ensure this occurs. Check-out time is 10 am to allow time to prepare property for next guests.

All rubbish and garbage needs to removed from the house and disposed of correctly in garbage bins provided. Bins are to be left on the curbside of the road on check-out and on Tuesday pm if staying that night. Any garbage over and above what fits into the bins is to be removed by the tenant from the premises on check-out. Additional charges will apply if excess rubbish is not removed.

Disturbance to our neighbours, including excessive noise, is prohibited and may result in termination of rental and loss of bond.

The $400 bond will be refunded within 7 days in full subject to the above conditions being met.

The balance of the rental amount is due in full 60 days prior to occupancy/booking dates. If not the paid then the owner has the right to cancel the booking and re let the property.

Included: Beds required made up with fitted and flat sheets, pillows and slips/covers, bath towels, blankets, doonas, doona covers, bath mats, kitchen towels and detergents: these are all provided. Also a standard exit clean after checkout is included. Extra cleaning above the usual standard amount if required: $45/hour. Bed Linen and bath towels is included in the booking price unless otherwise arranged on booking with reservations. All beds used must have two sheets and pillows must have slips/covers. Beach towels are not provided

Pets are not allowed under any circumstances in or on the property.

Loss - the owners take no responsibility for the tenant’s personal property.

Guests agree to occupy a lakefront house premises and use its contents at their own risk and hereby release, to the fullest extent permitted under the law, the owner and reservations manager and agents from any claims arising in connection with the house, the premises or surrounding grounds or contents. The guest is to indemnify the Owner and agents against any claims made by any other person or entity in relation to the booking period .
The owners will make every effort to ensure the property is available as booked. However the owners reserve the right to make alterations to bookings due to extreme unforeseen circumstances.

Variations to these conditions may only be made by prior arrangements with the owner in writing.

Snorkel for a look at fish and old sandstone ballast from coal ships while eating oysters from rocks at low tide. Watch the sharp shells. (Water shoes, personal life vest, and flippers advised.)

Walk the nature reserve and spot the swooping Owls.

Use the kayaks and standup paddleboards while wondering if there is life on Mars! (Jetty is not our property.)

Situated 1-hour 50min drive from Sydney on the beautiful Lake Macquarie.

The amazing views are so close to the water! This is the family weekender we are sharing with you. It's not a fancy hotel, we use it too so expect lots of books, and games and maybe food in the cupboards for all to use, please.

We also allow pets (as long as they are super well-behaved) but we have no fences so please no horses! Once again, no fences so please bring extra-long dog leads.

Pots can move in lake tidal waters & the wind and can cause stressful and extremely costly damage to our neighbours boats. Crab pot lines easily become wrapped around props and keels as well as mooring lines. When this happens, it is not a simple matter of removing the crab pot line, it can cost up to $20000 in repairs to the damaged equipment on the boat. Guests may be held liable against a damage claim so a clear reminder to be wary of placement and at all times to respect neighbouring property.

If you are unsure, please enquire before booking.

How We Price: The booking price is based on a minimum number of guests. Any guests above this number are chargeable on a per person/per night rate. The system will automatically calculate the correct rate when you enter the required number of guests. Reductions in guest numbers are non-refundable.

Arrival Details: Access to the property is made simple. You’ll receive an access code via SMS just before 3pm on your arrival day, which you’ll use for the duration of your stay. Standard check-in is at 3pm. While an earlier arrival may be possible, it cannot be confirmed until the afternoon prior to your arrival. If an earlier check-in is available, we will send you an SMS by 4pm the day before to confirm.

Linen: 1 set of full bed linens and 1 bath towel per person are supplied. Guests may wish to bring extra towels depending on the length of their stay. Pool/Lake/Beach towels are BYO.

Guest Amenities: We are Eco-Friendly - to help reduce wastage, we supply a single bottle of 3in1 shampoo/conditioner/body wash in all showers. In addition, guests are advised to bring their own personal preferred bathroom products/amenities.

Wifi is provided complimentary on behalf of the owner. It is intended to be used in an appropriate manner by all guests. Pools: If the property has a Swimming Pool then it will be opened for swimming for the start of the NSW September School Holidays and closed and Winterised immediately after the NSW Easter School Holidays have been completed.

Fires and Firewood: Internal wood fireplaces and outdoor fire pits only operate after the NSW Easter School Holidays up to before the NSW September School Holidays in line with NSW state fire restrictions. Please note: we will normally supply enough firewood, kindling & fire-starters for between 1-2 nights of your stay. For guests wishing to have additional fires, we suggest BYO Firewood, Kindling, and Starters which can be easily purchased from the local service stations.

No Party Policy: All reservations operate under a Strict No-Party & Non-Excessive Noise Policy as prescribed in the NSW Short-Term Letting Legislation and Local Council Laws. This property is in a Residential Area. Failure to comply can put the security bond into jeopardy and may lead to police-assisted eviction and/or extra charges being levied. We hate to have to note this but the reality is that so far this year we have had to evict 3 groups for overstacking/bad/anti-social behavior.

Extra Guests / Visitors: The number of people nominated on your booking is the maximum number of people that are allowed to be on the property at any one time, including visitors. Visitors may be requested and if approved must be approved in writing with Weekenda staff. Simply put, if Mum and Dad want to come over for a BBQ then we are likely to approve. If 10 extra people want to stop by we are unlikely to approve, which could put your booking at risk. We will always try to be reasonable with reasonable people within property constraints and House Rules.

Cameras and Noise Monitoring: There are no external security cameras at this location presently but the owner reserves the right at any time to install external cameras at their discretion. Any camera install will be in line with local regulations. A noise monitoring device is installed - fines apply to guests found to have disconnected, removed or damaged the noise device. These devices are used to monitor and maintain ours and guests responsibilities under the NSW STR Code of Conduct.

Guest Registration / ID Check : Weekenda requires every guest to complete and sign an electronic guest registration prior to arrival which will ask for photo ID i.e. a copy of your Drivers Licence or Passport. The primary booker will also be required to complete a list with the guests names and actual mobile numbers. In the event we are unable to reach the primary booker, it is very important we can get a hold of other guests. These documents will be deleted after your departure. Access Codes are only released to Registered and Verified Guests.

Critical Update: Due to an unprecedented influx of fraudulent bookings, we are forced to impose a policy that protects our clients, industry and community against those attempting to commit fraud and theft. Any booking made within 5 days of arrival is required to provide a photo of a valid credit card in the same full name of the primary guest to match the supplied identification document. Failure of these documents matching will result in the booking being cancelled and all funds processed returned to the original card assumed as stolen and thus a fraudulent transaction. We trust we have our honest and genuine customers understanding this policy is in place to protect all parties.

Insurance: As always, but ever so more due to recent times, we strongly encourage any holidaymakers to obtain a very inexpensive 3rd Party Domestic Travel Insurance Policy to cover you for all manners of matters which may restrict travel. This is particularly helpful for things like Hunter Valley Concert cancellations, Covid or Medical and Other Emergencies for which we don't provide refunds, and anything which falls under our standard Terms & Conditions irrespective of the reason. We suggest reviewing policies with 'Cover-More' or 'Travel Insurance Direct' or 'Insureandgo'
