Check in is a breeze and they offered me and my wife a frosted lemonade during this process. Cheaper rooms are spacious enough for a couple with all the expected commodities except a hair dryer and a minibar, so plan ahead. As there is a busy highway close to the hotel, you can hear tire and engine noise, but I had no trouble going to sleep or staying there. Included breakfast is very good and complete; for a weekend stay we didn't change it much, but if you're staying longer you'd like to mix it up. All meals are prepared by an in-house chef, high quality, served in nice fashion and the menu is diverse enough for most tastes. Pool area is really clean (as is the entire hotel, since the owners are very scrupulous in this regard) and enjoyable, palm trees provide shade and space is adequate for the number of possible guests. Service was nothing short of outstanding, all personnel was attentive and catered to our needs promptly and with professionalism... we felt really pampered. Check out was fast as well. - "The hotel itself is attractive, the staff are excellent and the food is very good. The room we were given was more or less as shown in the photos though smaller than it appeared. It was a tight for 3 people and there was no place to sit and relax inside the room other than on your bed and the lighting there was not great. Although there is a gorgeous little private deck off the room, I was unable to use it because the mosquitos were so bad. However, my main complaint is with the listing itself. The hotel is situated 45 min outside of Minca and cannot be reached in a regular vehicle. A 4 x 4 is required. The owner will arrange transport for you but at your own expense (approximately $40 USD one way). None of this info is provided in the listing, yet the additional cost and hassle are substantial. I would not have stayed had this information been clear. "
