- "If you are looking for somewhere to go that is remote, quiet and peaceful this is the place. We swam in the ocean all day, and read books on the beach. It is a really beautiful property that has converted 3 houses to individual hotel units. It is not fancy but it is very relaxing. The access is very limited so be prepared to eat on site, the other reviews are accurate, the food does not come quick, but you can order in advance and set the time you would like to eat. The staff were very nice and we really enjoyed our stay. "

Very easy check in, our first room was the Santorini room which was a lovely room with an outdoor seating area, the only issue for us was the steep spiral staircase to the bedroom, followed by an equally steep spiral staircase you needed to take to the bathroom. We’re in our 60’s and although not unfit didn’t fancy going up & down the stairs during the night. We asked to be moved if possible and luckily a ground floor room was available. Bed was great, sheets were soft, pillows were lovely. Towels in the bathroom were thick & fluffy. No noise at night which was lovely. Breakfast in the morning was whatever you wanted off the menu, which was very enjoyable. Just one note the coffee in the room is not free, 5,000 pesos per cup. The room quickly cooled down even w the 85 humidity. Our balcony was shared but you hardly noticed your neighbors. They provide towels, have shampoo & body wash. We tipped the maid, and at every meal and each time we were going to sit around for drinks (~$20-30 CAD total tips per day for 2 people, a litltle extra on day 1), and the staff were super friendly and nice. Very good local food choices at all meals, enough variety, never seemed to run out of anything. Snack bar offers good "North American" food choices. Lots of people try to sell you boat & bus tours. After listenting to about 10 people in the first few days try to sell us the same things, we finally bought a full day private boat tour for our group of 8. Just beware there is no road all the way to the hotel - the hotel picks you up with their modern boat at the Playa Blanca main entrance. It's just a 5 min boat trip.
