Very easy check in, our first room was the Santorini room which was a lovely room with an outdoor seating area, the only issue for us was the steep spiral staircase to the bedroom, followed by an equally steep spiral staircase you needed to take to the bathroom. We’re in our 60’s and although not unfit didn’t fancy going up & down the stairs during the night. We asked to be moved if possible and luckily a ground floor room was available. Bed was great, sheets were soft, pillows were lovely. Towels in the bathroom were thick & fluffy. No noise at night which was lovely. Breakfast in the morning was whatever you wanted off the menu, which was very enjoyable. Just one note the coffee in the room is not free, 5,000 pesos per cup. If you’re looking for a place to stay that is out of the ordinary this is definitely it, would stay here again."

The room quickly cooled down even w the 85 humidity. Our balcony was shared but you hardly noticed your neighbors. They provide towels, have shampoo & body wash. It’s conveniently placed near pharmacy, clothes stores and coffee shops. The staff here are wonderful and helpful! The pool is small but def relaxing with the open roof. There’s no elevator, all stairs but that wasn’t an issue either. Breakfast was filling for us - eggs, toast and fruit! they also have a full bar and pizza, amazing pasta to order as well. Kid friendly as well. Just be mindful that you’re downtown - lots of noise, music, people and traffic. there’s a great nightlife here."

Hotel offers free beach umbrella vouchers, but like restaurant reservations, it's first-come first-served so you have to ask early in the day. Otherwise, it costs $10CAD for an umbrella and 2 basic chairs, which is reasonable. Hotel beach table with free non-alc drinks is super convenient. Lots of "salespeople" at the beach, gets annoying to wave them off so often, but great if you want a $2 beer without going back to the hotel. Some hotel areas and amenities are dated, but clean and everything works. We tipped the maid, and at every meal and each time we were going to sit around for drinks (~$20-30 CAD total tips per day for 2 people, a litltle extra on day 1), and the staff were super friendly and nice. Very good local food choices at all meals, enough variety, never seemed to run out of anything. Snack bar offers good "North American" food choices. Lots of people try to sell you boat & bus tours. After listenting to about 10 people in the first few days try to sell us the same things, we finally bought a full day private boat tour for our group of 8. It was an amazing day and cost 1.9million COP ($650 CAD). A couple inconveniences that shouldn't change your mind about staying here: 1. Check in was slow 2. You get 1 physical key per room, so you have to navigate when two people are at different places "

- "The building wasn't numbered so it if wasn't for the security guard who saw us walking around we would have walked passed the building. No option to call. Luckily they responded within 20 min or so amd we got in after 45 min of arriving there. They really need to use the receptionist for coordinating reservation and checking the travel documents instead of sending an email after the reservation and asking for those docs. Also, they don't always put accurate location. Location in expedia may not match the actual building location. One time i had to travel 45 min away from listing in expedia. Properties were in decent condition but communication needs to improve "

Can't really walk to any restaurants (only one option in hotel next door, which was average and overpriced) The listing in expedia shows the Property to be in center of cartagena but it's actually 40 min away. The building name Morros Eco isn't listed Google it before booking so you know exactly where yiure going. Gym only had limited equipment. Pool was nice. Apartment was also nice but you can't sleep as many people there as listed. Room is too small, ideal for 2 people max. It's a good place if you just plan to go to local beach which isnt that great. Overall, I'd pass on this property "
