THE HOUSE
Casa La Carbonera is an Amazing colonial house located on calle de la Carbonera directly in the Historic Centre of Cartagena ! - The house includes our maid and chef for at full service experience.

The house has a total area of 300 square metres, split over three floors. On the ground floor, you will find a spacious lounge with a semi-grand piano, where you can enjoy marvelous soirées with family or friends. The dining room and kitchen are integrated with the swimming pool area.

The large dining area offers space for more than eight people. The kitchen is equipped with high-end domestic appliances and has everything for our chef to prepare a fabulous break first , lunch or dinner.

The house also has a chill-out terrace and spectacular views.

You can rent the whole house or book rooms; either way, you will enjoy an exclusive dream house.

These are big and welcoming, and all have air conditioning, a private bath with hot water and a TV. The bed linen and towels are of the highest quality. - "Our rental process was flawless, and communication with the owner (and her agent) was always VERY prompt and courteous. The street door is secured and manned 24/7. The apartment is lovely, and very comfortable. Every bedroom has its own bathroom and shower. The rooftop plunge pool was fun! We didn’t use the ground floor swimming pool. Ample plush towels are provided. Cartagena is a vibrant, noisy city and there were times when celebrations nearby were noisy late into the night. Apt 5 is not well-suited to people with mobility issues because it is on the 2nd and 3rd floor and there are marble, winding staircases. (There are ground floor apts available. ) The owner can also recommend a very reliable tour service that we used for airport pick-up, city tour and beach tour. Of course we were all in panic over a cancelled flight, a pending storm in the area, and where in the world we would go. I immediately contacted both the owner and his brother, Cesar. They were both EXTREMELY graceful to allow us to book an additional 3 nights there. On the last night in Cartagena, we stayed at a hotel closer to the airport. Jorge was terrific at replenishing supplies, pool towels and making sure we had what we needed.There was nighttime security as well as daily cleaning service which was nice.The bathrooms did not come with any shampoo or conditioner - and there was not a hairdryer available - something future renters should possibly request or plan to bring themselves. Finally, the house was a bit difficult to find when we first arrived since there were no numbers on the house and the address that was provided wasn't clear - but other than that, we would go back in a heart beat. We loved our stay and the great ambience! Thank you!"

- "We had a great time. The property has two residences. The chefs/cleaners are in a house at the back. They were really great. Especially great cooks! We provided the groceries and they cooked in the outside kitchen to perfection and cleaned after each meal. For us, it was all authentic Colombian food, which is what we wanted.The location is great. The chefs also helped with connecting us to fishermen, etc. Had great lobster delivered to our dock for our chefs to prepare one night. A short paddle down the shoreline in the provided kayaks will take you into a series of saltwater lakes that are connected by winding canals through mangrove forests. Amazing! Also, a 20 minute walk will take you to a cove that has biolumenescent plankton you can swim with at night. Spectacular! A five minute walk will take you to a public beach for easy swimming with children. We also arranged for a boat ride down the coast to see the sunset. As with most Colombian homes, there is no hot water, but it is luke-warm, so showers are actually refreshing.A small village with several restaurants and VERY small grocery shops is only a 10 minute walk away. We brought a fair amount of groceries with us from Cartagena since the food selection locally is limited. I would recommend doing that, but make sure you arrange with your transportation to carry the extra cargo with you to the island.Loved our stay! Highly recommend, especially if you are a bit adventurous. "

- "The house was beautiful, we got to enjoy every room. The assistant Wilfredo and Maid/Chef made the trip so much more amazing. The place was always clean and if you request for her to cook just know everything she makes is amazing. The only downside to this property that is NOT LISTED is the fact that it has NO HOT RUNNING WATER. Your showers will be cold or slightly lukewarm. So keep that in mind when booking. Otherwise an amazing property and staff."

We can personally accommodate the event and assist in coordination.

- "We really liked the experience been in a private island but the place itself need to be updated. Beds were not too comfortable, there were only two bathrooms for four rooms. One of the rooms on the second floor was too dangerous going up and down the stairs, specially in the meddle of the night if you needed to go to the bathrooms. Any ways, the people working there were great, Coco and his wife made all possible to make us fell good."
