- "We loved everything about this beautiful apartment, in a perfect location, right in the centre of Monschau. We especially liked the four large windows which allowed light to flood in. From the exposed timber frames, the rustic and creaky wood floors (I LOVE those floors!), to the thoughtfully placed knick knacks and home decor, Uta did an exceptional job of creating a cozy and comfortable place to enjoy a town that feels trapped in time. From the water of the Roer river rushing by just outside the large windows in the open kitchen/living area to the activity in the cobblestone streets below, the sounds just added to the overall ambiance of the perfectly situated home. Yet never did those sounds interrupt the tranquility and need for rest from exploring the town and surrounding area. Anything anyone could possibly need for any length of stay was provided, including every tool necessary for making your favorite coffee drink. And the bed! The bed and pillows were without a doubt the most comfortable either of us have slept on. Access to the store Mond on the floor below was nice and did not interfere with entry into the unit, which was a slight concern initially since entry to the unit is shared with the store. But the owner did an excellent job explaining how entry worked and what we needed to do when coming and going after store hours. Was absolutely no issue at all. And how anyone could possibly escape the store and not find that one thing they have to have would be shocking. Overall, my wife and I can’t think of anything that could have made our stay at Uta’s place any better than it was."

Clemens August and Mathilde Breuer, the founders of the historic mustard mill Monschau, once lived in Haus am Holzmarkt with their 8 children. "Ömchen Mathilde" serves today as namesake for the lower apartment, after her daughter Guste Amalia, "Tant Jusschen", the upper apartment is named. Here in the cellar the first mustard was made, at the beginning still with a mortar.

Located directly on the Eifelsteig, in the beautiful Eifeldorf Mützenich, you will find our apartment, centrally located in the town center, but in a quiet environment at the end of the Stichstraße.

The apartment is perfect for walks in the beautiful surroundings of the Eifel / Ardennes and the High Fens.

The entrance to the RaVelweg / Vennbahnweg is only 200 meters away and invites you to extensive tours on this premium bike path!

Our apartment is located on the 1st Floor in the farmhouse and can be reached via the separate entrance.

Our farm today still has a lively agriculture with horses, mother cows and chickens.

Stay in a beautifully renovated monument in the heart of the old town of Monschau - an original Monschau house with the ambience of the old times: half-timbered, oblique walls, wooden floors and an old staircase testify, but today of course with modern comfort. Zimmer Chyco is een knusse, 2-p slaapkamer in een eeuwenoud vakwerkhuis, idyllisch aan de Rur en midden in de historische altstadt van het schilderachtige Monschau! Ideaal als je de hele dag onderweg bent en genoeg hebt aan een bed en bad (privé).
Via een prachtig bewerkte eiken deur stap je terug in de tijd en vergeet je gelijk de hectiek en stress van alledag. De slaapkamer ligt op de 2e (=bovenste) verdieping, welke te bereiken is via scheve en kronkelende trappen. Hier bevindt zich ook de royale badkamer met ligbad (nostalgie) en apart een toilet. Deze verdieping heb je lekker voor jezelf! Niet alleen is alles schots & scheef, het is ook duidelijk dat de mensen vroeger een stuk kleiner waren….. alles, inclusief de plafonds, is laag (dus ook de douche, 'langere' mensen kunnen het beste gewoon lekker gaan badderen)!
Back-to-basic, gezellig gekeuvel a.d. tafel ipv bliepjes. Geen schermen, maar gemoedelijk samen een kaartje leggen, ouderwets monopoly spelen of een spannend boek lezen. Our 4-star holiday home "Zum Vennbiber", classified by the German Tourism Association, is only a few meters from Mützenicher Venn. The Eifelsteig, popular with hikers, runs right past the house. The holiday home was extensively renovated in 2015 and combines cosiness and comfort. It is for 2-4 people with modern facilities and in a beautiful location on the edge of the Hohes Venn nature park. A spacious garden surrounds the house and allows a variety of leisure activities. Hiking or cycling tours can be started directly from the house.

The RAVeL cycle path, completed in summer 2012, invites you to take carefree bike tours. The Vennbahn cycle path and other sights are in the immediate vicinity. Monschau and the Eifel National Park are only a few minutes away by car. The ideal starting point for hikers and nature lovers!

The house has about 70 square meters of living space. All living rooms are furnished in a modern Scandinavian style. On the ground floor there is a bathroom with shower and toilet, a bedroom with a single bed and the kitchen with an integrated living / dining area. Haus Luzi is an age-old half-timbered house in picturesque Monschau. Idyllic on the Rur and in the middle of the historic old town! Through a beautifully crafted oak door you step back in time and immediately forget the hectic pace and stress of everyday life. Ferienwohnung Bo is located on the 1st floor and is a small but cozy 2-person furnished apartment. No "bliepjes", but cozy chatter. No screens, but pleasantly put together a card, play old-fashioned monopoly or read an exciting book. Or cook together nicely (on the 2-burner induction cooker) in the small but cozy kitchen (at least if you haven't been tempted by one of the many cozy restaurants or "Konditoreien" in Monschau).
