Unlike some places you stay it was easy to cool the room if it were too hot and the same if too cold as the heating is controlled in the rooms. Also we had plenty of towels which were changed daily. The staff are excellent and very helpful, i really enjoyed our stay and will definatly come back. I 100% would recommend trying here if you are looking for somewhere nice to stay "

Be warned that the restaurants seem to have very limited hours. For us this was a small price to pay, but it might be an issue for others, or for those making a longer stay. - "Had a great stay in the shepherd's hut and it was exactly as pictured in the listing. In fact I believe I was the first person to stay there. The property owner came out to meet me when I arrived and was very welcoming. The location wasn't too hard to find but be aware that there are very small roads and this might prove difficult for some. The listing indicated that there was Wi-Fi, however there wasn't although I looked around and didn't have any signal for a router. However this wasn't an issue as it allowed me to enjoy the quiet. Mobile coverage is a bit low, but not impossible to connect, but Wi-Fi would have helped a bit. The fittings and furnishings were just fine and everything was very clean. My only suggestion would be to include a welcome note with guidelines and/or policies. I purchased a cafetière and left it with the property as there wasn't an option for coffee. A few small touches like these would give the next guests a great stay. I would definitely go back though!"

Escir Cottage is a traditional, rustic two storey house that was originally built in 1901. Recently renovated and restored to a very high standard, the house is situated next to the former estate residence and compliments the extensive lawns and grounds.
Located one mile from Dromore village and very central to both Enniskillen and Omagh. The location has ample parking and can accommodate horse lorries and campers. Finally, there is a Hot Tub at the Cottage for guests to enjoy.

Escir Cottage opened its doors in October 2021. I spent over a year restoring the cottage back to its original footprint with a small extension to the side. The Cottage started life as the 'farm hands' accommodation and housed a Husband and Wife plus a neighbouring worker who, for their committed work on the estate were given free food and lodgings. The Cottage is situated next to the former estate house which was originally constructed in 1861, but again has been restored to its original glory.

The Cottage is equidistant from beautiful Enniskillen and Omagh. In Fermanagh you have all the exciting attractions such as Lough Erne, Marble Arch Caves, Enniskillen Castle and Cuilagh board walk. In Tyrone you have the award winning Ulster American Folk Park, The Gortin Glens Forest Park and Dava Forest. All great for walking and meandering around!
