NEW Sit back and relax at this cozy, family friendly lakeside cottage, just steps from the entrance to Point Pelee National Park. Enjoy relaxing with friends or family over a local glass of wine or craft beer, sunbathing, sitting on the beach, grilling on the Napoleon natural gas BBQ, watching beautiful sunrises and sunsets from the expansive deck.
Have a swim in the lake or build a sandcastle on the beach. This home is newly renovated (2021) and includes two bedrooms with queen sized beds and a double pull out sofa. On rainy days, you can watch a movie on the Smart TV, play a board game or borrow a book from the bin. There are dozens of local wineries and craft breweries within a 25 km radius with many offering fantastic food for brunch, lunch or dinner! Erie Shores golf course is a 5 minute drive away.
So whether it’s a family holiday, couples weekend, a friends weekend, a girls weekend or a weekend of golf, this is the spot for you! After a long day, come back, sit on the spacious deck and enjoy the sunset, relax or take a nap. Welcome to the sun dappled deck of Dockside B in the hub that is the West Shore of Pelee Island. Close enough to walk for a snack at Pelee Coneheads, an afternoon Caesar at Westview Tavern or a craft beer at the Stone House 1891. A quick bike ride will get you to the Pelee Island Heritage Museum rich with the history of the early settlers or spend an afternoon singing along and dancing to the live music offered on most weekends at the outdoor Pavilion at Canada's largest private estate winery, aptly named the Pelee Island Winery . Dockside B is conveniently nestled in the midst of it all.
The accommodations offers a sunlit filled living space with 2 bedrooms, open concept full sized kitchen with a massive dining table. Appliances & kitchenware: Only use appliances for their intended uses. We have provided kitchenware for our guests; we kindly ask that you wash anything that is used. Dish soap and cloths are located under the sink.
Furniture & décor: Please do not move the furniture or decor. This can damage the floors and disturb the atmosphere of the home we have work so hard to create.
OUTDOOR CUSHIONS MUST BE PLACED IN THE PLASTIC STOTAGE BIN AFTER EACH USE AND BEFORE CHECK-OUT. WEATHER CONDITIONS MAY CAUSE DAMAGE, ALSO UMBRELLA PUT DOWN AND TIED. FAILURE TO DO SO, WILL RESULT IN A FEE DUE TO NEGLIGENCE.

Beautiful open concept kitchen/living room. The kitchen is a true chef's kitchen with everything you need to prepare and cook a gourmet meal!
King master suite & second queen suite. Both rooms have comfortable mattresses, lots of pillows, smart tv's, ceiling fans, bedside tables, dresser, large closets, white noise machines and luxurious bedding. Did I mention the in-floor heating system!
Cozy up to the fireplace in the winter or enjoy the concrete patio with gas fire-pit in the summer or winter! Living room is large with conversational seating near the fireplace and kitchen.
Like warm towels...enjoy the heated towel rack. Enjoy the rainfall shower head or the large soaker tub. The mirrors have back lighting and you can adjust the color temp.

First Aid Kit & Fire Extinguisher - We have provided both a First Aid Kit and fire extinguisher in case of an emergency.
Housekeeping - There is no daily housekeeping service. While linen and bath towels are included in the unit, daily maid service is not included in the rental rate. We suggest you bring beach towels. We do not permit to towels or linens to be taken from the house. Should you need extra maid service, please contact us to arrange it. Extra maid services would be at an extra cost.
Noise - Guests should not create excessive noise at a level that disturbs neighbours. Quiet hours are from 11 pm- 7 am.
Garbage - Any garbage must be stowed in the appropriate bins. We recommend the garbage is taken out daily to avoid unnecessary odors.
Recycling - please use the large blue bin on wheels for all paper and plastic

When you stay at Anchors Away, you have the private use of a comfortable, fully furnished main floor of a house. With two bedrooms, a living room, a kitchen/dining area, and a relaxing three-season room that looks out onto the back porch, there is a lot of room to spread out!
The rental area of the house has received a major redecorating in April 2014, and the bathroom has been completely renovated in Dec. 2014. The kitchen and dining room area was recently renovated with all new cabinetry and eat-at island.
One Queen-size bed, plus two Twin-size beds that can be made into one King-size bed, provide for a good night sleep after a long drive or an afternoon out at the areas many parks and beaches. Both bedrooms have a ceiling fan and there is central heating/air conditioning in the apartment.
Unlike many of the rental homes in the area, all linens, towels, and paper products are included for you convenience. There is also a fully equipped kitchen for all your culinary needs. BBQ facilities are found on the covered back deck, where you can relax on the patio furniture after a day of fun, while a cool breeze blows over from the lake.
Springtime means it will soon be time for the famous bird migration through the Point Pelee area. Birders 'flock' from around the world to see the amazing menagerie of birds that pass by our region. There are plenty of summertime activities around Leamington to be enjoyed as well. Bring along your canoe for a paddle in the Point Pelee marsh or your clubs for a couple rounds of golf at Erie Shores Golf Course, two doors away. The flat terrain allows for an easy pedal around town or along the waterfront roads. You can also catch a ride on the ferry over to Pelee Island for an afternoon of sight seeing and a stop at the Pelee Island Winery's facility there. It's a good place to grab a light lunch and a refreshing glass of wine. If rain does threaten to spoil your day out, don't just find a place to curl up and wait it out! Leamington and the surrounding area has become quite renown for its wineries. There are several in the area, including the Pelee Island winery, that offer tours and samplings. Yum!!

Everything you need for a home away from home was included including all linens, towels and kitchen utensils and cookware. While it was not the most ideal time to be in Leamington (given the rain), we would love to stay at Anchors Away again as it is central to everything that a tourist would like to visit (national park, ferry terminal, wineries etc. ). No instructions were provided, so it was essentially unusable during our stay. I did speak with customer service who explained how to make it work but even then it did not function. Similarly, while the house rules mention that garbage and recycling must be sorted properly—or a 75 charge may apply—there were no instructions or labeling on the bins to clarify what goes where. This was confusing as recycling rules vary by region.The furniture is attractive and comfortable, though we would have preferred if the couch faced the fireplace, allowing us to enjoy both the fire and the beautiful view of Lake Erie through the window. In respect of the house rules we did not move any furniture.Despite a few small details, we really enjoyed the peace and quiet of the area and the overall experience. This two-bedroom cottage sleeps up to six guests, with a queen bed in each bedroom and a comfy futon in the common area—making it an ideal escape for families or a close-knit group of friends.
Inside, the cottage offers a seamless blend of comfort and style. The fully equipped kitchen sparkles with high-end stainless steel appliances and all the essentials to prepare your favourite meals—but don’t be surprised if you find yourself dining at Freddy’s every day. With food that good just across the road, it’s a temptation few can resist.
Sink into plush beds wrapped in luxurious linens, unwind with fluffy towels in the full bathroom with a tub-and-shower combo, and enjoy the convenience of a brand-new washer and dryer for longer stays.
Outside, life slows down. The lakefront patio offers Muskoka chairs for lounging, a fire pit for storytelling under the stars, a picnic table for casual lakeside meals, and a natural gas BBQ for grilling up your catch of the day.

Rental Agreement
All guests are required to sign our rental agreement.
Failure to sign will result in the cancellation of your booking with no refund.
Security Deposit
A $350 security deposit hold is required.
A secure link will be sent to complete this hold.
This is not a charge—just a hold on your credit card.
It is released after checkout if no damage has occurred and the property is left in good order.
Please tidy up after yourself to avoid additional cleaning charges.

Rates are based on double occupancy and there is a charge for each additional Guest after 2 upto the Max capacity. You must Register all guest.
No unregistered guests are allowed after 10 PM.
All guests must be listed on the pre-check-in form.
Housekeeping
No daily housekeeping service is provided.
Fresh linens and bath towels are included.
Please bring your own beach towels.
Do not remove linens or towels from the home.
Extra cleaning service is available upon request—fees apply.
Noise Policy
Please respect our quiet hours: 9 PM to 8 AM
Excessive noise that disturbs the neighbors is not permitted and could result with being evicted with no refund.
Garbage & Recycling
Take out garbage daily to avoid odors.
Recyclables must be sorted properly—no plastic bags.
A $75 fee applies if sorting is not followed.
Parking
Park only in front of our house in the driveway.
Do not park on the grass—violators may be towed at their own expense.
Appliances & Kitchen Use
Use appliances only as intended.
Kitchenware is provided—please load and start the dishwasher before checkout.
Dish soap and cloths are under the sink.
Furniture & Décor
Please do not move furniture or décor—doing so may damage floors or disrupt the ambiance.
