The Arbousier holiday home is located in the heart of Pézenas, a few steps from the market only, behind the boulevard des antiquaires. The street of the coolers is a small quiet street and characteristic of a small Mediterranean city. The former winemaker's house was built in the 19 th century and now offers all the comforts for a pleasant stay. It has been completely renovated and opened its doors to travelers in the spring of 2014.

On the first floor are an American kitchen, a dining room and a living room in a large open space of about 30 square meters. A French window opens onto a small balcony without vis-à-vis that invites breakfast, coffee or aperitif. The bedroom and bathroom with bathtub are on the second floor. Separate WC.

The house offers 5 comfortable beds: a double bed (160 X 200), a sofa bed (150 X 200) and a single bed (90 X 200). Cot for baby. The kitchen is equipped with a stove with electric oven and a large fridge with freezer and all the necessary utensils to cook good dishes. A washing machine and a tumble dryer in the cellar are at the disposal of our guests. The living room has a TV, a multilingual library and a mini-channel. The house is tastefully decorated: chests of drawers, armchairs, tables and chairs have been carefully picked up and restored, the cushions and curtains are home-made, creations of local artists are placed here and there.

It was just around the corner from Rue Conti, a street full of restaurants and shops, leading up to the main square of the town where the public open air market is held every Saturday morning. The beds were comfortable, the living room couch and chairs were well maintained and comfortable, the kitchen was well equipped. There were a few minor maintenance issues when we first arrived, and Kerstin and Claude were at the house 2 days later to take care of them. All in all, a great stay in the south of France away from the ice and snow of the harsh New England winter."

The apartment has a particularly spacious feel being on one level with high ceilings throughout and exposed beams in the dining area. Light floods into all rooms through high windows reaching almost to the ceiling. It has been redecorated in a contemporary style with quality modern appliances and technology.

The living area is open plan with a lounge dining area. The sitting area has two sofas, an ottoman, a coffee table, an LCD flat screen TV with HDMI cord to connect to your own laptop, a sound system and a DVD player. Fibre optic highspeed internet/wifi works throughout the apartment; and a writing desk is also available to use. The adjoining dining area has a table and six chairs. This area opens out directly onto the sunny, south facing terrace garden through large arched glazed doors. The ¾ metre thick limestone walls of the old building can be appreciated here and through the adjacent window overlooking the terrace.

The garden terrace is furnished with comfortable seating and a modern barbeque. There are also two deck chairs available to use. A large extendable canvas canopy provides exactly the required amount of shade, and potted citrus trees and Mediterranean plants surround the terracotta tiled floor. The terrace is very private and set back from the street overlooking a cobbled courtyard off rue François Oustrin. It is not easily visible from the street or surrounding buildings making the apartment and terrace also very quiet. An extendable clothes line is located on the terrace, but well hidden.

The kitchen is well equipped with a sink, oven, stovetop, microwave, refrigerator, dishwasher, washing machine and all the usual small appliances. You will appreciate the generous supply of crockery, cutlery, pots and pans.

The large main bedroom is furnished with a queen size bed, bedside tables with lamps, large wardrobe, and a chest of drawers. The room has two beautiful high classical windows overlooking the 14th century atrium. A well appointed en-suite complete with two basins and a bath/shower adjoins the bedroom.

There is a separate, newly renovated shower room with sink and heated towel rack, as well as a water closet. There is a hair dryer in each bathroom.

The second bedroom contains two single beds. It has bedside tables with lamps and room to hang your clothes. This room has two large classical windows overlooking the private atrium and is across the hall from the shower room and separate toilet. The two bedrooms are quite separate and private.

There is an air conditioner in the apartment as well as stationary fans for each bedroom.

La Petite Terrasse is a typical 18th century old house now rated 3 Stars - Meuble de Tourisme. We sometimes refer to the house as an "apartment", because while it is a self-contained house, it is a small house. The house is renovated to include 21st century amenities. Located just off the Medieval centre of Pezenas, in a small cup-de-sac, the house has 1 bedroom.

There is a small roof terrace, very private, but it is only for the sporty at heart because the stairs to get onto the terrace are steep. We advertise the house as an apartment because it is an individual house, but small enough to be considered an apartment.

The house is airy, bright, and we are constantly working to improve the environment. A home away from home, we hope that you, like us, will enjoy the feel of the house and the town. The sheepfold consists of a large living room (large living room-kitchen with a choice of sleeping accommodation on a sofa bed or on a low ceiling mezzanine), a large bedroom, and a bathroom.

A private terrace allows you to take your meals outside, in a small Mediterranean garden where palm trees, olive trees, cypresses and aromatic plants mingle, with a view of the vineyards and the surrounding countryside.

Housing

The Auribelle estate is a 5 hectare property located 5 minutes from the historic center of Pézenas and 25 minutes from the beaches, in a calm and protected environment, without any visual or noise pollution. The land consists of vines, fruit trees and pine forests, groves, fields and hedges.

In the middle of this welcoming nature are our house and our cottages (NB: we also rent a large house that can accommodate 9 people on the property).

Travelers access

You will have access to a large shared swimming pool of 6 x 12m on the property between 10h and 12h then from 15h to 19h. You will also have access to our orchard and our vegetable patch, for a real holiday in the countryside.

We are very busy on the estate but are always happy to welcome you and introduce you to the organic wines of our estate.

Our vineyard is divided into several plots around the villages of Caux, Gabian and Nefiès, which benefit from a great diversity of soils, exhibitions and grape varieties.
A lot of care and requirement are brought to the culture of the vine with a constant respect for the environment and the soil (certified Bio Ecocert since 2011) in order to obtain concentrated fruits with beautiful maturities.

Manual harvesting and natural winemaking methods (Inputs and handling reduced to a minimum) allow us to produce authentic wines of high quality.
