- "A Perfect house for enjoying a beatiful part of southern France. We reached Pezenas center by walk in 25 minutes and nice beaches at Vias by car in 25 minutes. The house itself" - "Great location so close to Pezenas with its shops and restaurants as well as to the many interesting places in the region. Ideal for two and very well equipped, even down to the mosquito repellent which, during our stay, was essential (if not wholly preventative!!). One small improvement would be a little judicial pruning of the trees and plants along the route from entrance to parking spot as the sensors on our car went into overdrive!! The Rough Guide to Languedoc - Roussillon calls Pézenas, “One of the most singularly beautiful towns in the French Southwest, endowed with an overwhelming concentration of grand architecture”. Thanks to Armand de Bourbon, Prince of Conti, Pézenas was considered the “second Versailles” in the late 17th century. This drew wealth, artists and playwrights of the caliber of Moliere all seeking to gain favour and patronage from the court.
Today, Pézenas has an incredibly well preserved Old Town filled with outdoor restaurants, artisans, and entertainment. Seasonal festivals, celebrations and a huge Saturday market take place year-round in Pézenas and it’s neighbouring villages. Located in the middle of the largest wine growing region in all of France, and less than a half hour drive from the Mediterranean beaches. Simple pleasures are abound.

With so many things to see and do in the Languedoc-Roussilon, Pézenas is ideally situated. The town of Pézenas itself is beautiful and vibrant. From buying bread and tasty treats at the local boulangerie, people watching at a one of the town’s outdoor cafés, or exploring one of the many antique shops (Brocantes), Pézenas has so much to offer. The Old Town is rich with history and fine architecture, and full of unique artisan shops and fine restaurants. Truly, there are so many things to see and do. You will need more than a week just to scratch the surface of this enchanting region.

- "Comfortable, clean and spacious apartment right in the heart of beautiful Pezenas. Boulangerie and fruit and veggie shop across the street. Butchers around the corner. Fromagerie just beyond that and more great cafes and restaurants than you can count within a five minute walk! Not to mention the Saturday market less than a 30 second stroll away. What more could you need. David and Holly were perfect hosts. Very responsive and clear with their information. We loved David’s are which adorns the walls of Apartment des Artistes #6. We can’t wait to return."

I had a great room, stayed close to the Old City, one of the best breakfasts at any hotel (or B&B) ever. There was another couple there that helped me. The hostess does not speak much English and my French is maybe grade school. The other couple helped with the language and made the stay very good and memerable. And the Honeysuckle at the front door smelled amazing."
