- "Hotel is located quite close to points of interest and even the office for obtaining permit for Punakha and other regions is located close. Rooms were spacious (we were 3 adults in one room) and clean, food was great ( we did not take the buffet option and directly ordered from restaurant). - "Love it love it love it. Had s most wonderful stay and look forward to staying there again. " - "It was great!" - "The room and facilities were great but we were really disappointed with the service. We checked in around 3:30 pm and stepped out at 4. We asked specifically if there was going to be dinner served, they said yes. We got back around 8 pm and were told that the kitchen had closed and we should have put in an order for dinner before 7 pm. We mentioned that we had specifically asked about the dinner before leaving so we could plan accordingly and were told that we would be able to have dinner at the hotel without any mention of this 7 pm deadline. They also made no attempts to organize any sort of back up dinner plan (not even instant noodles) and the rest of the city was also closing up because it was winter so we couldn't even step out to get a bite. We were forced to eat chocolate and drink beer from the minibar and go to bed hungry. We mentioned this during check out and didn't get so much as an apology, just weak smiles and nods. They only thing they did was waive the cost of the minibar snacks after we said we wouldn't want to pay for it given that we had no other option for food. Overall the hotel was comfortable, had great decor and was well kept but the inexperience of the staff and service clearly showed. There's really no major benefit to heated bathroom floors if your guests go to bed hungry. "

- "Sitting on the corner off the main road in Thimphu is this gem. This was the first time staying in Thimphu and if I ever get the chance to go back; I will be staying here!" - "I booked a deluxe room for 6 nights for 3 members. So I needed an extra bed. Through expedia I had paid for 3 members and the extra bed also. On checking in I was given a room with an extra bed - however the room was quite small. I guess they might have given me a standard room instead of deluxe room. The main idea of choosing the deluxe room was that it would be spacious, however this was not the case. With the extra bed there was hardly any space to move around. On complaining they said they will change the room - but somehow kept pushing it and did not give me a different room. Another issue was that the blankets all had spilled coffee and other stains. This needs to be improved. The positives were the staff ensured that 3 towels were placed daily and 3 water bottles. Compare this to other hotels where if you have one extra person you need to request for these everyday. The location of the hotel is also good. It is at the central location. Yes dogs bark a lot in the nights - but since we are used to it in our place also - it did not disturb us. The rates for breakfast extra are very high and hence we were forced to have breakfast outside. Overall an ok place. Seems a bit costly for the price. I felt cheated as I was given a small room. "
