Our room was on the top floor and accessible by elevator (thank god), since stairs were steep and narrow. It was spacious, bright and clean with modern amenities. A couple of quirks I will mention as warning for others. The hotel closes at 9 pm and if you arrive later you will find the doors locked and lights off. We finally figured out the emergency line for the hotel and called them, but we did have about 30 minutes of panic while trying to figure out what to do in a small town at 10 pm. Once we reached them, they gave us the code to get in and instructed us on where our room key was. Apparently they had tried calling, but since reservation was through Expedia they had not been able to reach us. Another quirk was breakfast. Even though it was readily available, it was not included in the room price, but also not very expensive. So if you slip and accidentally eat, it won’t break your bank account. Overall a great little space. "

- "Great location, liked that the room was cleaned every day but I felt that the wifi situation at this hotel was the worst I have ever seen. Yes the wifi is unsecured but it is really unsecured with the server disconnected about 3 years ago. You know the situation is bad when google goes over the top to warn you against using the site. Parking is an issue." - "Stay away from this place, and be super careful about this place and any other place that is posted as non-refundable. There is always a reason behind not refunding your money. I booked a room at this place on Expedia and when I checked in I was shocked. This is nothing like a hotel. I am not sure if Expedia has any investigation about the properties before they get posted to its website. This place is just awful. No elevator, super narrow stairs that you can hardly take your luggage upstairs, no Air Conditioning or ventilation and no screen on the windows to prevent flies and mosquitoes and even birds coming in to your room. Worse than that, the bathroom door was broken and was not getting fully closed. Imagine that you sit on the toilet seat and the bathroom door is half open. Not only that, the toilet seat itself was broken too. So after two hours of staying I found this place unlivable and requested a check out through Expedia, and checked out two hours after I checked in. And guess what; the manager of the hotel is refusing to refund $614.82 that I paid for this reservation although they confirmed that the issues that I was complaining about really existed, and I am still running in between Expedia and my credit card company to get my money back. It was the worst and most terrible travelling experience of my life."

- "I received an excellent and very warm welcome. Mary greeted me and made sure everything was to my satisfaction and offered to carry my bags to my room (which was on the second floor and only accessible by a spiral staircase). The room was in excellent condition and very clean and tidy. I had a continental breakfast which was well presented and more than adequate (in quality and quantity). I came by car and I found parking was easily available in the surrounding streets. In all I was very impressed with the hotel which has real character and wouid seek to use it again when I travel to Trouville. I found Trouville to be a quiet attractive town and whilst a resort in its own rights is a great place to stay if visiting Normandy and has easy access to the D Day beaches and Caen. Our house is situated in a peaceful residential area of Trouville-sur-mer (Aguessau) which is a pleasant stroll away from the lively rue des Bains and the historical brasseries (15min), the beach (20min) and the train station (10min).

The house includes 2 floors above basement level. In the basement there is a utility room which includes a washing machine and garden equipement (an electrical BBQ, a table, a parasol, chairs and a couple of long chairs). On ‘ground’ level, there is a fully-equiped kitchen, a living room and a restroom. On the first floor there are two bedrooms and a shower room. One bedroom includes a doublebed and the other two single beds.

The garden is not overlooked and includes a lawn and a wooden deck.

Please note that children of all ages are welcome but due to several indoor and outdoor stairs we have preferred to indicate that our house is currently not safe for children under the age of 2 years old. Should you wish to come with a child under two we have the necessary baby equipement (bed & bath) available.

We’ve taken great care to restore our house and we always enjoy spending time here (despite the rain!) so we hope you will enjoy your time here too.
