Once the elevator reached a floor, the rooms were up another half flight of steps. It was challenging for me who is a senior adult to get a suitcase up that half flight. - "Room was small, but clean. Room 102 has a bathtub. Bathroom was a good size. Breakfast buffet is included and was good. Much of the town is closed off-season. It was a challenge to find open restaurants. There is a laundromat 500ft away from hotel. " - "The front desk staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. The room came with a large wall heater which could be turned up if you were cold. Location is an easy 10-15min walk from the train station that for us, doing most of our travels by train, was an easy task with luggage and 2 kids. Made our stay in Bayeux that more relaxing."

Just a wee note: it is up 3 flights of narrow stairs and has no elevator. This would be a challenge if you have heavy/large suitcases. Bayeux is particularly charming and you are right in the heart of it. There is a fantastic patisserie just across the road and lots of great shops and restaurants both up and down the street The Bayeux shuttle departs from a carpark just a couple of streets away for its tours. The cathedral is an easy walk, as is the Bayeux Tapestry. The train station is just a 15 minute walk. It was easy for us to find a taxi at the taxi stand, but you would need to book a taxi for departure. This was a 10/10 from us. A fabulous stay away from home. "

There are a few points: the staircase may be tricky for some people to negotiate - a handrail seems to have been added on the wall side since the vrbo pictures were taken, but it might be easier if this went all the way down; the hob is in the corner, and the controls are along the far wall, which makes it a bit awkward to use. But overall the little house was very nice, very good value, and we enjoyed our stay. Thank you!"
