A peaceful and beautiful setting. We used the pool as it gets very hot and appreciated the comfortable loungers around the pool. I will definitely recommend this lodge and a good stay for anywhere in the Tulbagh area. "

The Lark is an open plan self catering studio with private entrance, covered patio and enclosed garden. We are located 8km outside Tulbagh, the entrance is located centred between the two Tulbagh town entrances, 500 metre gravel road from the R46 Tulbaghweg Main Road.

The Studio consist of a double bed, open plan alley kitchenette and separate bathroom with shower facility. The Kitchenette is equiped, but simplistic. We included a ceiling fan for the hot summer days and electric heater for the cold winters. You also have access to Wi-Fi and Open View Dstv. The covered patio offers a 4 seater table and chairs to enjoy dining outside. There is also a bench to relax on. The rustic small garden has a Summer Cold Shower spoil and a cosy fire pit for the traditional south African braai. Starter wood supplied.

Please note we do rely on a borehole for water supply that is assisted by a water pressure pump and, Eskom power for electricity. We do have backup lanterns and fresh bottled water. This is a working farm, so day to day activities do occur.

Pets are welcome (water and food bowl supplied) and will be greeted by our own. We have 2 farm dogs, Roxy being a loving elderly female, crossed Alsatian and Rottweiler and Duke, the younger male German Shepherd, very playful, especially playing fetch with a ball. We also have 4 cats roaming the property. If you're lucky, you will hear and spot our white barn owl that resides in one of the old water tanks on a tower. You will definitely hear the roosters in the morning hours :-)
