Other traditional restaurants are as close as 200 metres from the Villa. The nearest supermarket and cafes are 200 metres away.
LOCAL AMENITIES: there are many supermarkets nearby including a mega Tesco, 2xAldes, 2 SPAR,s & many smaller CBA’s. The only Water park at the lake is in the town. The water park is less than 2 kms away with large car park and is fully serviced with every amenity, slides, flumes pools, restaurants and cafes. At the nearby Lake front Promenade you have more restaurants, pubs, cocktail bars, beach areas, marinas, cafes, shops, boutiques, supermarkets, bank, pharmacy, 24 hour doctor clinic. The beach is clean and safe for children to run around and the lake is shallow and great for swimming and splashing around or hiring Kayaks, sailing/electric boats & lots more. The water is waist high for about 200 meters.

The house was well equipped with a large refrigerator, stove, microwave and dishwasher which made food prep and clean up easy. We appreciated the washing machine on sight. The weather was a bit too cold by adult standards for use of the pool but the children enjoyed their time in it. The views of the countryside and Lake Balaton were refreshing in the morning with our coffee on the huge patio and in the evening with our glass of wine on the rooftop terrace. There was plenty of outdoor furniture to be able to enjoy the scenery in comfort. Having 2 generous sized "master bedrooms" allowed each of us to have our own private space while the children enjoyed the company of their cousins in the 2 other large bedrooms. The roomy modern bathrooms provided ample space for several people to get ready in the morning. Overall I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a quiet country property with convenient access to tourist towns and activities. The thermal spas of Heviz and the Festetics Palace in Keszthely were easy drives and enjoyed by all. The Heviz piac (farmers market) was a great place to purchase fresh meats, cheeses, fruits, vegetables and bakery as well souvenirs for family back home. The house was only 2 1/2 hours from Budapest, 2 hours from Zagreb, Croatia and Vienna, Austria and 3 hours from Lubjiana, Slovenia, for an American these were easy day trips. We had relatives living 30 km away and the property location was convenient for frequent visits and the large outdoor space was so nice for enjoying a meal together. Thanks to the owners for leaving us a bottle of wine and water for our arrival. After many hours of travel it was much appreciated. The neighbors do have several loud dogs that barked especially in the morning but were not disruptive during the night. The approach to the property is a short driveway from the road and we did have trouble with our low riding cars bottoming out if the vehicles were fully loaded. These would be my only negative comments."

This floor is all about recreation, relaxation and fun. The 5-person hot tub is situated just outside of the swimming-pool area.

This holiday home is located on a road between the villages of Tiszaszentimre (10 minutes by bike, supermarket) and Tiszaderz. The building was converted in 2010 from an old school into a luxury country house with swimming pool. The house is situated between farmlands and next to a farm with agriculture. Very suitable for, for example, two families (maximum 8 people).

There are three national parks in the area, the famous Puszta (30 minutes), Lake Tisza and the Bukk Mountains (1 hour). But Budapest is also easily accessible in a day trip (2 hours). Cycling, walking, fishing, visiting wine regions or going to a restaurant. Lake Tisza is a 15-minute drive away where you can sunbathe, swim or do water sports. A bike ride around the lake is 65 kilometers. Bicycles, canoes or motor boats can be rented. Nature lovers can visit or hatch bird breeding areas here.

The house is very suitable for people with their own boat, Lake Tisza is close by and a berth can be reserved at the luxury marina of Abadszalok. You can sail with boats on Lake Tisza, surfing, sailing, water skiing or wake boarding are also permitted.

For a fun day trip you can go to Eger, Debrecen or Budapest. The city of Eger is an hour's drive from Tiszaszentimre at the foot of the Bukk Mountains. Debrecen is not such a famous city, but it is the second largest city in Hungary with many historic buildings.

The Villa Giulietta Budapest is over 100 years old and is located in a unique part of the suburbs of Budapest. In 1890, wealthy citizens living in the city centre created Ómátyásföld, where villas had been built under strict rules and used as summer residences close to the city centre.
Villa Giulietta Budapest is one of these villas. The first owner was a wealthy horse dealer of Italian origin who built the property primarily for his daughter. The name Villa Giulietta is a tribute to them.
The villa was hit during the Second World War, and traces of the hit can still be seen on the roof of the building. The interior layout is as it was originally, which has been completely renovated a few years ago.

Budapest is 40 minutes away and 25 minutes to Budapest airport. The villa sits within its own 1.5 hectare estate with pool (in season), gazebo, landscaped gardens and outside kitchen. The grounds are exceptionally bio diverse with over 30 different varieties of trees. It is secluded without being isolated and is accessed from an unmade road that is about a kilometre away from the motorway directly to Budapest.

The space
The property will suit adventurous outdoor families, friends or groups as it is surrounded by forest. The main villa has been our summer family retreat for the past 15 years.

Given the number of bedrooms, beds and bathrooms, it can comfortably accommodate two or three families wishing to holiday together or a large extended multi generational family.

From the family point of view we can provide amenities such as cot beds, high chairs, a playpen, toys and sandpit, etc. There is a playroom so the children can occupy their own space when not in the garden and parents can get a bit of well deserved rest!

The nine metre by five metre pool has been designed with a shallow end for young children complete with an in pool seating level for comfortable adult supervision (coincidentally works well, as we have discovered over the years, with a glass of wine or beer). The pool is not heated so is only in use from May to the end of August.

Families can cater pool side with a second kitchen (electric cooker and fridge) so no one misses the fun providing the food! Meals/snacks can be consumed in the large gazebo next to the outside kitchen and pool shaded from the sun. There are plentiful sun loungers around the pool to cover rest and relaxation requirements in the sun.

The outside kitchen has an integral real wood BBQ. There is also a large Weber Espirit gas BBQ on the main terrace which can be moved next to the pool if required. The cooking opportunities are completed with a traditional Hungarian Bogrács: this is a large cauldron used over an open fire to cook Goulash (this is for the purists: personally I like cooking curries in the cauldron outside) There is also a fire pit located conveniently near the house.

There are a number of longer forest walks pretty much as you leave the front gate.
There is also the possibility of horse riding as our neighbour Eva has a riding school. This would be by prior arrangement if she has spaces. Early booking is essential as she is normally very busy! There is now another local riding school which my youngest daughter uses and comes highly recommended.
