As americans we had some difficulty finding the parking spot..those are places people from the midwest don't think are places we can drive! - "I confirm the apartment is as shown in the pictures. Actually it is better, light and airy, and the bathroom is quite large. It is quite comfortable and the dishwasher and clothes washer/dryer are great to have. Rue Nationale is both quiet and a main pedestrian road - most of the foot traffic and restaurants are a couple of blocks away.. Bonus, there is also a shop just two blocks away that sells both meats and nicely prepared dishes for takeaway - easy dinner. And Pascal is a welcoming as many have noted. Great place and location, fairly easy to get to the many chateaus, this place is highly recommended. Oh, and market days are not to be missed."

The Tabac down the street serves cappuccinos, so breakfast was complete. We don’t speak any French aside from the obligatory pleasantries but managed quite well nonetheless. Amboise is a short walk across a bridge and has its own château and charming renaissance era downtown with walking streets, bakeries, chocolatiers, restaurants and shops. My wife found some nice scarves here at a good price that weren't to be found in Paris, for instance. We visited Chambord, Clos Luce (DaVinci's last home) and Chenonceau. All are worth a visit but we enjoyed the charm and warmth of the latter two the most. The studio was cozy but clean and well stocked with all of the essentials for cooking. It's an odd thing to mention, but the shower had a fantastic flow reminiscent of pre-flow restrictor days. We also had the use of the beautiful patio where we unwound at the end of the day. The only hiccup was finding a place to park upon arrival. If you have the pleasure of staying here, do inquire in advance about how to reach the parking area behind the building. Note that we also considered Blois for our Loire valley visit but after visiting it we were glad we chose Amboise instead. It was far less commercial and thus more relaxing and romantic. If you choose to stay in Amboise you couldn't find a better combination of a great location and gracious hosts who will greet you like family. Our stay here capped off an unforgettable visit to France."

Everything in home was nice including the furniture, bathroom accomodations, kitchen, ect. Couch was a fold out bed so this place can easily handle 4 adults, 2 couples, or a family with kids. Bedroom was very large with a comfortable bed that easily fits 2 adults. Plenty of extra covers & blankets too. Also, has 2 dressers for clothing if needed. I typically live out of my suitcase though. A window in both the living room & bedroom allow plenty of natural light as well as a breeze whenever opened. All needed equipment/things in kitchen. Fridge, stove, toaster, dishes, microwave, ect. Entire house was extremely clean & well presented & maintained! Also, an iron which is very underrated. Best part is the location. Right on the main Street of the city. A no drive/car main Street. It's not called main Street, but it's the place you want to be. Look out the window see the castle. At least a dozen places to eat on the street property is located. Honestly, it like a 30 second walk for amazing food at multiple places! Easy to find & easy instructions to get keys & enter. It is on 3rd floor with no elevator. No issue for me, but some it may be. Plenty of lights & hand rails in spiral stairway up too. Great price for property! Close to grocery store, liquor store, pharmacy, laundry matt, dry cleaners, clothes shopping, & plenty restaurants. Would definitely rent again!"
