If you would like to smoke we ask that you use the courtyard area. Please ensure that you dispose of your cigarette buts in the ashtray provided and keep the doors and windows to the studio closed. We do not accommodate animals to stay. The continental breakfast provided is enough for a light to moderate breakfast for the length of your stay; please, make yourself at home.

The very private Studio and Courtyard rental are accessed through a common breezeway which separates them from the main dwelling.

We are available for you during your stay, but our level of interaction is up to you. If you need anything, give us a call or reach out through Airbnb. You will be able to self check-in upon arrival.

The studio is located on a lovely quiet street, with its own private entrance and parking. Located in the heart of the Barossa and walking distance to the main street of Tanunda, you are perfectly positioned for easy access to many of the great wineries, restaurants and experiences that the region has to offer.

We are a 2 min drive from the pretty village of Tanunda that is well serviced with a varied selection of cafes, restaurants, pubs, 2 breweries, supermarket, butcher, bakeries, specialty retail stores, a medical centre, hospital and post office for your convenience.

We are a short 10 min drive to the famed Barossa Valley Farmers market in the picturesque township of Angaston, which is open on Saturday mornings from 7.30am. This is on our must do list.

If food and wine are not your thing, there are numerous walking and cycling trails with some easy bush walks through Kaiser Stuhl National Park. This is best visited at dusk to do some kangaroo spotting. Or you could play a round of Golf at the Tanunda Pines Golf Club, ballooning or a helicopter ride from the close township of Lyndoch to get a birds eye view of the this beautiful place we call home.

There is so much to do and explore in this beautiful part of South Australia. Welcome to the Barossa and enjoy your stay.

This lovely fully self-contained apartment has its own private entrance, courtyard, and filtered views of Angaston. You can walk to Angaston in about 10 minutes - the walk back may take 15 though!
The Apartment:
Having a separate bedroom with an ensuite, a large living area with a full kitchen, separate laundry with a washer and a dryer, a study and its own garage with direct access, this is an excellent spot for a short or longer break. The kitchen includes a full-size fridge, oven, hot plates, microwave, dishwasher and all the crockery, cutlery and utensils you will need.
There's a reverse cycle air-con in the bedroom and in winter you will love the combustion fire in the main living area or use the gas heater for a quick warm-up.
The living area and bedroom look out over the garden towards Angaston inviting you to the 10 - 15 minute walk (2-minute drive).
In summer, guests are invited to use the heated pool.

We couldn’t cook the food for dinner we had brought along; No toilet flush; no hands washed; no showers could be had after travelling & needing to be clean & fresh & up very early 3 am start for important commitments. THE ENTIRE BOOKED PAID TIME Stayz themselves have been not helpful with trying to secure a refund.And the host …firstly the excuse it was due to ‘natural disaster’ despite the plumber telling me staff had noted the water the day prior.. no money backThen the host offered me 100 off next time I come back- which I absolutely won’t be.Now I will give credit - the host DID stay in contact & did get a plumber out- but I said numerous time we needed to be able to shower & get to sleep early or we would need to go.He assured me it would be fixed.We stayed.It wasn’t fixed..We paid for a property we could shower at; cook at; wash our hands at..with hot running water.Apparently I’m not entitled to be refunded in full.Where can a sold product be faulty/not as described & the customer just have to wear the cost?!?Insane.Avoid!!"

The apartment is a five-minute walk to the main street of Tanunda, ensuring easy access to some of the many fine dining, cafes, and bars that the Barossa is famous for, such as fermentAsian, 1918 Bistro Bar & Grill, Bar:Musque, and Krondorf Cellar Door & Wine Bar, to name a few!

The spa garden suites are located on the eastern side of the main residence at Strathlyn Estate. They are very private with their own access from the garden. They are tastefully and comfortably furnished. Each features a luxury bathroom with spa.

The space
Strathlyn Residence was constructed in 1905 from local Angaston marble. It graces the top of a hill overlooking surrounding vineyards next to the historic Saltram Winery. Originally comprising of 6 bedrooms the house has been extensively renovated. The Strathlyn Spa Garden Suites are tastfully furnished suites in the main residence with their own private entrances from the garden.

During your stay
Your host, Heather, is available to provide local knowledge and suggestions upon request. Guests should be mindful that there may be other guests staying in some of the other accommodation options on the property.

Other things to note
When first arriving check in at the Reception located on the eastern verandah of the main residence facing the tennis court.

During certain times of the year (harvesting) there will be activities and some occasional noise within the vineyards.

The Loft is a beautiful 2 storey apartment with loft ceilings, renovated to host visitors in the Barossa Valley. The space is light and clean, furnished with modern neutrals and natural textures.
Located centrally in Tanunda, you are at walking distance to some of the best cafes, restaurants and local shopping in the Barossa.

The space
The 2-storey apartment has been beautifully furnished for a relaxing and comfortable stay. Upstairs has 2 bedrooms, both King beds with natural linen and cotton bedding (please note that the floorboards upstairs are a little squeaky). The bathroom features a large rose shower head and complimentary shampoo, conditioner and body wash. Also located upstairs is a toilet and laundry. The open layout downstairs includes a large kitchen with induction cooktop, dishwasher, microwave, coffee machine, kettle, fridge, toaster and large breakfast bar area. Teas, milk, eggs, butter, sugar, coffee, locally made bread and jam are provided complimentary. The dining area comfortably hosts 4 people and the lounge area comes with a large flat screen TV, Apple TV and complimentary WIFI so you can stream from your computer. There is also a desk in the lounge area. The second and newly renovated toilet is located downstairs. There are two private outdoor areas, one under cover for inclement weather and the other perfect for warm and sunny days. The apartment is strictly no smoking inside and we do not accomodate animals to stay. Please note that the complimentary breakfast provided is enough for a light to moderate breakfast for one sitting (breakfast provisions are not provided beyond the first day). There is a generous amount of organic black and peppermint tea, sugar, salt and pepper for a lengthy stay.

Other things to note
The Loft has a private carpark located directly in front of the apartment. Please note that the floor boards upstairs and in the King bedroom are squeaky.
