This accommodation is built on a property that is part of the history of Old Bowral which goes back to around 1890's. It was once owned by the local Saddler, William Oldridge. The original cottage has been incorporated into the new residence, which is separate to Studio Rouge. The accommodation is recently built . It is a fully equipped apartment consisting of one bedroom with a queen bed, separate bathroom, dining, living, kitchen and laundry area. The kitchen utensils can be found in the kitchen drawers and large wooden kitchen cupboard. The living space faces north and all windows are double glazed. If you want to eat in there is an electric stove and a microwave at your disposal.
This accommodation is suitable for a couple or a single person without children or pets. It offers a minimum of two nights accommodation and is situated in the heart of Old Bowral, in a very quiet location. It is a 10 minute walk to the main street of Bowral where you will find many restaurants, cafes and shops to suit all.
It is located on private property and is separate to the owners home, which is on the same site and is a smoke free zone.
There is secure off street parking suitable for one vehicle, but not under cover. There are two steps into the accommodation.

Looking for something a bit special? Located in picturesque Robertson, an easy 20 minute drive from Bowral, ‘Highlands Meadow View’ is a modern spacious light filled 2 bedroom apartment offering guests a very comfortable and quiet getaway in a pretty, rural setting. Situated just 2 minutes by car and a short 10m walk into the main street of Robertson, it is an ideal base if you’re travelling down for a wedding, exploring the Highlands or visiting Kiama and other beautiful parts of the South Coast.
Stylishly furnished with an ideal layout, both bedrooms are spacious and offer quality bedding as well as built-in robes. A lovely large living room complete with slow combustion fireplace adjoins a well equipped modern eat-in kitchen with new Nespresso Vertuo coffee machine, quality kitchenware and appliances (including Fisher & Paykel dishdrawer). The elegant two-way bathroom also functions as an ensuite to the master bedroom and is well equipped with luxurious products and hairdryer.
Outside, a sunny courtyard with spa and covered veranda is perfect for your morning coffee and croissants or a glass of wine and a good book in the afternoon. Easy access to the rear garden of the main property is also freely available to sit and relax in the timber swing chair and enjoy the outlook ( and the cows in the meadow).

- "Highland Meadows had all the amenities you could ask for and more in regards to the unit. On arrival it was lovely to find that a wood burning fire was lit and felt very welcoming. One of the reasons for choosing this property were the views as well as the hot tub. However the views are all blocked by a privacy fence and the hot tub outside the back door of the owners residence and therefore we did not feel comfortable using it. Otherwise the place was faultless and it was a warm and cosy place to stay."

Noise at Properties: NSW Planning has passed laws that affect guests. The Code of Conduct for holiday renting can be found on our website under the Guest Information tab. In Section 2.5.2 of the STR Code of Conduct, guests have an obligation to ensure the peace and comfort of neighbours and other occupants of the premises (if strata) near holiday rental properties. This means guests have to be very mindful of noise made in or outside the property that can disrupt neighbours at any time of the day. If you or any other guest receives a warning regarding excess noise or excess guests, you may be asked to leave the property immediately with no refund of monies. Noise audible outside the property is prohibited.
Privacy: This property is a holiday rental, it is not a principal place of residence and there are no shared rooms. Enjoy your time in comfort and privacy.
Terms and Conditions: Detailed T&Cs apply for this property and payment warrants your agreement and that of all other guests staying at the property with you. Please share the T&Cs with your other guests.
Check-in and -out Times: During the busy months of December and January, the check-in time is 4 pm to facilitate peak back-to-back changeovers. Our standard check-in time is 3 pm and check-out time is 10 am. We offer a complimentary early check-in or late check-out time as a gesture of goodwill where booking and housekeeping schedules allow. Note that due to demand and housekeeping pressures, no early check-ins or late check-outs will be granted during the months of December and January. The safest way to secure an early check-in or later check-out is to book the property for an extra night. Contact us for a special rate for this extra night. All Sunday late check outs must be requested and approved prior to 5 pm on the Friday evening prior. All complimentary early check-ins or late check-outs must be confirmed in writing so that our housekeeping team are informed accordingly.
Guest Registration: Guest registration is mandatory for all bookings and replaces the need for a cash bond for short term bookings (up to 20 nights). It is essential for fraud prevention, damage claims, safety, and emergency purposes. The process varies depending on the online travel agent used. Direct bookings require the booker to upload a copy of their driver’s licence and credit card through our encrypted online process.
Additional Guests: The guest limits apply at all times during the booking. Any extra guests (this includes day visitors) above those that have been booked and paid for must be approved in writing prior to the stay. Only the guests staying at the property are permitted to be present. If you wish to have visitors in addition to booked guests, you must advise us in writing prior to your stay and ensure you receive written permission. This is not possible at all properties.
No Extras: This property is approved for accommodation only. No mattresses, tents, caravans or more cars than the property accommodates are allowed. Under no circumstances are the following activities permitted at any of our properties: motorbikes, dirt bikes, quad bikes, use of firearms or air rifles, fireworks.
EV Charging: For safety reasons and to comply with insurance requirements, guests are prohibited from charging electric vehicles at any property that does not have a dedicated EV charging station. Charging electric vehicles without proper infrastructure poses a fire hazard, and in the unfortunate event of an incident, insurance cover may be compromised, and the guest held liable. If in doubt, ask our team for the closest EV charging station.
Long Stay Discounts: Out of peak season stays of a week or more may qualify for a discount, please send us a message.
Property Information: Information during your stay can be found in the Guest Information Folder or by calling our office 24/7.
Security Deposit: For most bookings, completion of our registration process and a valid credit card with a $1000 available limit is sufficient for the security deposit. For medium-term bookings (21-40 nights) and long-term bookings (41-90 nights), a non-negotiable cash security deposit is required. This deposit, held in our Trust Account, is refunded after the departure inspection, with any damage or loss deducted. The minimum cash deposit is $2000, with higher amounts for larger or more expensive properties, or at the owner’s/agent’s discretion.
Peace of Mind: For your added security, this property is managed by a Licensed Real Estate Agent. We will never request payments be made to an overseas bank account and your money is held safely in our Trust Account until after your departure.

Huge picture windows look out to the tree tops, pastures and our large country garden. Rug up and relax with a cuppa and enjoy the views from the lounge, or enjoy a cool drink in the afternoon sun in your private outdoor patio area.
The perfect place from which to walk along English-style country lanes and explore the Village (8 minutes walk to the General Store Cafe), drive and explore the area, attend a wedding or other special occasion, or just breathe in the fresh Highland air and pet our tame sheep, Moss.
Please note: the Loft is not suitable for children of any age. An administrative fee will be added for bookings made with children/infants.
Visiting for a wedding? We are excellently located for all Highlands wedding venues, especially Montrose House (5 minutes drive), Peppers Manor House (7 minutes drive), Somerley House (7 minutes drive) Mali Brae Farm (20 minutes drive), and 25 minutes drive to Bowral and Berrima. The Loft has a kitchenette with microwave oven, fridge, toaster, jug, electric blender, crockery, cutlery, glasses, corkscrew, coffee plunger and tea pot. We supply olive oil and vinegar, salt and pepper, tea bags, herbal tea bags, leaf tea, instant coffee and ground coffee.
We supply breakfast items as follows: wholemeal bread for toast, Vegemite™, butter, peanut-butter, home-made marmalade, milk.
The bathroom is supplied with Blumme Organica hand & body wash and conditioning shampoo. Both are Paraben free.
Please note:
The Loft sleeps two adults.
The Loft isn't suitable for children of any age or adults with limited mobility as there are stairs and no stair guard.
Check in is 3pm and check out is 10 am but both times can be flexible as long as there isn't a cross over with other guests. Please feel free to ask.
Please don't book with us if you smoke. We are a totally non-smoking property, inside and out, and ... butts make the rubbish bin stink.
Lastly, if being green is important to you, the Loft has excellent energy-saving credentials including double glazing, insulation, fully solar-powered electricity, composting, reducing plastic purchase and recycling.

Located a short drive from Bowral, Berrima, Moss Vale and all the restaurants, shops, wineries with bush walks and bike tracks nearby.
Your neighbours will be the local mob of kangaroos or newborn calves in the paddock adjacent to Laurel Cottage.
The Space
Located in the Southern Highlands area just off the Old Hume Highway. We are minutes away from fabulous restaurants and shopping of Bowral, Berrima, Moss Vale and the local Wineries and Wedding venues.
Fully self contained with indoor /outdoor areas to relax and enjoy your time away. Slide open the doors and enjoy a BBQ on the deck or a drink at sunset. Or cook up a storm in the the fully equipped kitchen. You will be toasty warm over the cooler evenings with wood heater, air-conditioning and underfloor heating in bathroom. Wonderfully light and airy in the warmer months.
Within 10 minute walk to the start of the Gibbergunyah Nature Reserve trail or try one of the many walking trails in the area, we are happy to assist with advice and local information. A must to visit is the village of Berrima a 10 minute drive from Laurel Cottage.
Grab the matching Laurel Cottage bikes and cycle to the coffee shops or Restaurants in Mittagong.
Guest access
The cottage is set apart from the family home with a private grass area in front of the cottage. Parking is available for a maximum of two(2) cars only, please note there is no on-street kerbside parking. Access to cottage is level and direct. We are 5 minutes drive to both Mittagong and Bowral railway stations, where taxi's are available.
Other things to note
The Cottage is brand new with a comfortable and tastefully presented interior. It is fully equipped with modern facilities.

- "Duck Walk Cottage didn't fail to impress with this cute cottage surrounded by stunning flora and fauna, tucked away in a tranquil part of town to relax and unwind for a long weekend. Will be our place of choice to stay when we return to the area!" - "The cottage is exactly as described. No tricks here. Some things we loved: Shower is the best I’ve ever used, heated floor in the bathroom was fantastic, location is perfect for a quiet getaway that’s not too far from the town centres. Some things that could be improved: the internet situation is a bit lacking for 2023 standards (although I’m more surprised at how bad the phone reception was), the sheets and pillows and towels are cheap (mostly from Kmart), there aren’t enough blankets provided for a stay in winter months, shower doesn’t drain well during use and tends to flood bathroom floor. I was also unimpressed with the fact that our bathroom had two empty bottles of hand soap with no refills, I emailed the property managers but received no reply or soap. Ultimately, we really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely come back. This place could be 5 stars if they upgraded a few things like linen, towels and the lounge seating which is a bit uncomfortable. Reading some of the other reviews I did see another person comment about poor communication with property managers when making basic requests during the stay which could be improved."

Separate sitting room with TV overlooking the wonderful trees on the property. This room can be converted to a Queen bedroom if there are three or four guests in your party. If a party of two requires this room set up as bedroom then a set up fee of $55 applies.

I am in my seventies and had a hard time getting my suitcase up the back stairs as it rained a lot and there was no handrail, and the stairs being bush rocks tended to be slippery. Also once I navigated the stairs there was nowhere to put anything out of the rain while I opened the door. Magpie Haven is a north facing independent studio with king size bed, in a separate pod of our architect designed, contemporary home. We are on 1.5 acres overlooking the Wingecarribee River, the village of Berrima and beyond.
It is 1 km into Berrima where you will find cafes, restaurants and specialty shops and close to Bendooley Estate and other wedding venues.
The space
We moved into our new home in May 2017. We have double glazing, polished concrete and reverse cycle air conditioner in the Magpie Haven.
Enjoy the luxury of our brand new Stressless recliner, the king size bed and heated towel rail in the bathroom.
The kitchenette is equiped with sink, fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle and coffee maker. A BBQ is outside the accommodation. A loaf of sourdough along with jams, honey, butter, teas, coffee, olive oil is supplied.
Guest access
Guests are welcome to explore our native garden and use the outside BBQ. There is a private terraced area with bistro table and chairs.
Other things to note
We provide tea, real coffee, a sourdough with jam.
Our native garden, a work in progress, is already attracting a variety of native birds. Kangaroos roam early in the morning. One of our established eucalypts is home to our friendly magpie family.
We have another listing, Magpie Retreat which is adjacent to Magpie Haven. We recommend you keep the bathroom door closed at night to eliminate any transference of noise.

Please note there is a cafe upstairs which operates from 9:30am to 3:30pm. The property is located in the centre of a busy shopping precinct and that is one of its fabulous features.

Additionally, the property does not have a dishwasher and due to the positioning of the space, the bedrooms do not have windows making for a great night's sleep without any pesky light coming through!

Idle A Wile has been the visitors choice in Bundanoon for over 30 years.

Stunning accommodation in a Private Members' Venue in the Southern Highlands
The Residence at Citizen Kanebridge Lodge features a beautifully appointed lounge and uniquely restored dining room overlooking Berrima High Street and Courthouse.
Two generous King rooms, one with separate dressing room and one overlooking Berrima village, plus a third smaller single room. Full kitchen and private bathroom as well as access to our gardens and Restaurant.
The space
Built in 1844 the the orginal Taylorrs Inn houses the Local police and jail cells for the Berrima jail and Courthouse. Steeped in history and beautifully constructed in sandstone the residence is in bathed in sunlight with generous rooms and lovely views of the village.
Downstairs we have 3 areas for all day dining across the The Rose Garden, The lodge, The Inn and The Cells. Enjoy the sun dappled Rose Garden and sipping cocktails fireside by our numerous open fireplaces.
Walking distance to all the town' s amenities historic sites and a private chauffeur is available to tour The Highlands' numerous wineries, galleries and restaurants.
