One mile to the south, Cape Arago State Park has outstanding overlooks, hiking trails, picnic tables, and excellent opportunities for viewing tidepools life and marine mammals (whales, seals, and sea lions).

A hiking trail, which is part of the Coast Trail, connects the three parks.

If you plan to head out to our wonderful beaches along Cape Arago Highway (which dead ends at Cape Arago) there is a shortcut route from south Coos Bay to Charleston via Libby Lane. It makes Charleston 10 minutes away versus 20 or 30 minutes going through town. A map with the route highlighted is available in the apartment for guest use.

Want to try your luck at clamming during your time in Coos Bay? A selection of rubber boots, shovels, and buckets are available for resident use on a first come basis (usually not a problem).

Shore Acres is MUST see is 2.7 miles past the property on Cape Arago Highway. Less than 2 miles to Charleston shopping, dining & entertainment and less than 15 min to Coos Bay. The house is close to hiking, fishing and dining. Close to Bandon Dunes, Coos Bay & North Bend.
Charleston is an unincorporated town of Coos County and is located less than 2 miles from the property. (the property address is Coos Bay, however Charleston is the closest town) Home to one of the largest commercial fishing fleets in the state of Oregon. This small, unique fishing community is known for its charming marina, endless fishing, friendly merchants, lush state parks, beautiful beaches and a distinctly charismatic local community. Take a walk on the docks, paddle the South Slough, buy fresh seafood from the boats or catch some yourself. The bedroom was simple but the bed was very comfortable. A white noise machine was in the bedroom if needed. We spent a few evenings watching a movie and felt very safe. Parking was provided for us in the back of building. Highly recommend the beautiful Japanese garden and Shores Acre!! Then we went to Newport and watched the seals over cocktails. Great stay here. The extensive gardens are home to carefully curated plants from around the world, featuring stunning seasonal blooms and a holiday light display from Thanksgiving to New Year's Eve. Shore Acres Holiday Lights has over 300,000 holiday lights with numerous light sculptures and 30 large trees decorated by community groups, including one by the City of Coos Bay.

One mile to the south, Cape Arago State Park has outstanding overlooks, hiking trails, picnic tables, and excellent opportunities for viewing tidepools life and marine mammals (whales, seals, and sea lions).

A hiking trail, which is part of the Coast Trail, connects the three parks.

If you plan to head out to our wonderful beaches along Cape Arago Highway (which dead ends at Cape Arago) there is a shortcut route from south Coos Bay to Charleston via Libby Lane. It makes Charleston 10 minutes away versus 20 or 30 minutes going through town. A map with the route highlighted is available in the apartment for guest use.

Want to try your luck at clamming during your time in Coos Bay? A selection of rubber boots, shovels, and buckets are available for resident use on a first come basis (usually not a problem).

Other Things to Note:
- This rental is available for stays 30 nights or longer and does require a separate rental agreement prior to check in to meet Oregon Tenant Law

- Smoking anywhere on the property will result in forfeiture of your entire deposit plus can result in additional fees up to $500 for smoke removal.

- Self Check In using lock box. Check-In is any time after 4:00PM and Check-Out is by 11:00AM.

- Housekeeping is required and provided on a monthly basis. This is included in the rental rate. Basic cleaning including disinfecting kitchen and bathroom, change linens and clean floors.

Eating in is simple in the efficient Kitchenette, complete with utensils, basic cookware, and dishes. There is a microwave, toaster oven, crockpot, toaster, blender and of course, a coffee maker! Kitchenette open to living area and has plenty of windows and light to enjoy the views.

The Studio Suite has a Comfortable Queen bed with high quality linens and pillows. Large windows bring in sunshine and blinds can be drawn for privacy. There is small closet space, for guests personal items.

The bathroom has a large vanity and a shower. Essentials including a quality linens, paper products, shampoo/conditioner and a hairdryer are included for guest convenience.

FREE reserved parking in private driveway for up to 2 vehicles. The garage is NOT included but there is parking for up to two vehicles directly across from garage. The space directly in front of the garage is RESERVED for the main house guests and is NOT available for guest use.

The large private yard has soft grass for playing outdoor games and gorgeous views from the Pointe. There is comfortable seating, a small bistro table and a gas fire pit for a fun evening around the fire.

There is also a SHARED BBQ Grill that is shared with the separate, detached MAIN house. Both homes have completely separate & private yard space with the exception of the grill which is central to both properties.

BEACH Access: There is a stairway to the right of the property with direct access to the beach (this has been under construction and guest should use at their own risk) There is also a second access further down the lane.

We do NOT allow pets of any kind at this property.

Guests have access to the entire private guest suite and the private yard directly in front of the space. Reserved parking in driveway for (2) vehicles, to the left of the garage, to the side of the garbage bins and there are (2) spaces reserved for the MAIN house directly in front of the Garage. BBQ grill is SHARED and is centrally located for easy access to both spaces. There is a separate detached MAIN house on the property. The Garage is NOT included.

The place where guests stay is a two-bedroom apartment above the garage it's attached to the house. It has a private entrance, there's a shared area where guess can enjoy BBQ and Jacuzzi in covered patio, at the front door of the apartment there's a little deck where you can sit out there stand and look at some of the sites around the area or around my neighborhood there's also a flower Garden in the corner right next to where you come in and Park. due to the covide-19 I sanitize high-touch surfaces, down to the doorknob
I use cleaners and disinfectants approved by global health agencies, and I wear protective gear to help prevent cross-contamination
I refer to cleaning checklists to thoroughly clean each room
I provide extra cleaning supplies, so you can clean as you stay

The apartment consists of 2 bedrooms. The bigger bedroom has a wonderful bay view from the window, 2 closets and 2 dressers.
The smaller bedroom has spacious closet, dresser and bed table.
The living space is very spacious and bright, you can see the bay through the big windows and sliding doors.
The kitchen is stocked to make the meals you love (or just coffee). There is fridge with freezer, electric stove with oven, microwave, toaster, dishwasher. It is newly remodeled, with granite countertops and isle.
The place is equipped with few thermostats, which our guests can adjust after their desires. In the summer time we provide the fans, which are sufficient in our climate to make our guests comfortable.
