The blue and the green apartments are located in a family house, in a quiet neighbourhood, surrounded by coniferous trees and indigenous underbrush, away from the hustle and bustle of the town and traffic. Ideal for those who love privacy and quiet as the large garden surrounding the house affords its overall privacy. The blue apartment is located on the very bottom floor of the house, with the terrace facing the sea (as shown on the photos). From the private parking several flights of stairs lead to the apartment, meaning you need to descend/climb stairs. From its large covered terrace guests can admire one of the most spectacular views of the Gulf of Kvarner.

Top area for active holidays: ideally located for the beach and water sports, and at the edge of the Ucka nature park with hiking and mountain biking routes, the apartment is 1.9 km away from the municipal beach or the Lovran town centre (20 minutes downhill walk - not suitable for small children). Nearby Opatija (8.5 km) and Rijeka (16 km) are easily accessible by car, public transport or on foot along the fabulous seashore path, the Lungomare, which stretches from Volosko to Lovran.
Take day trips to Istria - Tuscany of Croatia, the mountainous region of Gorski kotar, the islands of Cres, Losinj and Krk, the magnificent lakes of Plitvice or experience the world of cave explorers in the famous Postojna Cave (Slovenia, 70 km). The famous pebble beaches of Icici (3.9 km), Medveja (4.4 km) and Moscenicka Draga (11 km) are minutes away by car.
The apartment is easily accessible from the airports of Pula (80 km), Rijeka (50 km) and Zagreb (190 km), as well as by ferry through the Port of Rijeka.
Bus 36 just across the road will take you to the centre of Lovran (12-15 minutes ride).
If you want to burn extra calories, it is about 20 minutes walk downhill but if you are with (small) children you will need a car.

For a summer vacation: bring plenty of good broad-spectrum (water resistant) sunscreen offering protection against both UVA and UVB rays (SPF 30 or higher for extended outdoor activity), remember that you need sunscreen even if it is cold or cloudy outside, seek the shade between 11:00 and 16:00; bring a broad-brimmed hat, UV-blocking sunglasses, a good mosquito repellent. Stay well hydrated and save money and the environment by bringing a reusable water bottle - our tap water is of excellent quality. If you plan to hike (Plitvice Lakes, Ucka Mountain), you need good shoes.
