You do need a car to get around, but there are options within walking distance too (just not many). It is so good to be able to shop at the Mauritian supermarkets (Super U 15 minutes away by car) and buy the lovely local produce and cook a nice meal on the bbq and relax with Pheonix beer and wine overlooking the beach at sunset! We have now decided that when we travel to Mauritius we will exclusively use LOV properties simply because of the spacious accommodation, high level of luxury and great facilities and expert management. Soobhug was an incredibly brilliant host, smiling non stop and saying 'Yes' to any request we made. He was too helpful and when i needed an extension cable to allow me to work by sitting at the table and plug my printer and PC into a specific socket he brought one for me from his home! He was a wealth of local information and gave great tips for where to go for good takeaway food. The apartment B1 was huge with sleeping for 8 although it might be too crowded if fully occupied. For 4 of us it was plenty spacious. It was clean and cleaned daily by the lovely Joanita (sorry I might have got the name wrong) and she made a special effort to do a special decoration for my Son's birthday. This holiday complex is in a great location directly opening out on a picturesque stretch of beach (pretty but not swimmable due to volcanic rocks)"

- "This was a Great Place to Stay with kids and We had a Great Time" - "Good modern apartment but you need a car to get about anywhere as Grand Baie is a 35mins walk away along a very busy road with no pavements. The pool at the complex is lovely but small & there aren't many sunbeds there. It does have a beach club with sunbeds but you have to pay for them. There is a free bus to take you there but takes its time as it picks up at other places too. I would say these apartments are best if you want to get out & about to see the island. Roads are very easy to follow with plenty of signs. We had a problem with the oven & it was sorted a.s.a.p. which was good. "
