On arriving at breakfast you are greeted by the lovely smile of Reena and escorted to your table where we were served by the lovely Tarvin. The breakfast buffet is amazing and really needs to be seen to appreciate the quality of choice. Days were spent on the beach being looked after by the incredible Vicky, for whom nothing is too much trouble. The restaurants are all of exceptional quality. Indya was our favourite and Kevin, who served us had great knowledge of his menu. Adash in the Floating Market was also really helpful in helping us choose from an extensive menu. My husband used the gym daily and was really helped by Yogesen.Neha was a great help before and during our trip. - "Thank you to all the lovely staff who work here that made our stay amazing. This hotel is located about 50 minutes from the airport. It’s tucked away and great for privacy. My husband and I stayed in the luxury ocean front pool suite. The view of the ocean from the balcony and infinity pool was tranquil and lovely to wake up to everyday. There is ample room for two people in this suite. Great storage in wardrobe to put all your belongings away. The dressing area includes two sinks and 4 big mirrors. The bathing area has a lovely shower with hamam and big bathtub to relax and take in the amazing views. The bed was very comfortable, the pillows could be better (I think you had the option to upgrade pillows, I just didn’t get round to it) full mini bar and snacks - as we don’t drink alcohol they changed the free wine bottle to a non alcoholic apple juice. The food menu in all restaurants were great, I believe there is something for everyone! The seafood is some of the best I’ve ever tasted, everything was so fresh. Our suite was cleaned 1-2x a day and two bottles of water were provided daily. Extra thank you to Zahra, Jayshri, Jagdesh and Aniketh for making our stay perfect. (Sorry for any misspelling) Minor improvements- adding a mirror into the main suite area as the lighting was quite dull in the dressing area when applying makeup. Overall, we had an amazing experience and would definitely recommend."

We normally aim for O&O, Rosewood and Four Seasons and sometimes Mandarin Oriental and this is a top 5 in the world for us. The food is world-class and service is impeccable and we actually extended our stay with an additional 5 days and rebooked our flights back to Europe. One in the family haven’t been feeling well for a few days and the entire hotel and staff is helpful to accommodating our needs and “bending” the rules in the right way to ensure as smooth experience as possible despite the situation. We were also fans of the Guerlain Spa that was classy all the way. The staff have a high awareness of our dietary expectations and limitations from the day of arrival and through out our stay. We highly recommend this to families who wishes a smooth vacation with great food and world-class service. We think the Ocean Front Rooms are value for money and the terrace rooms are also the best."

- "From arrival to departure,we always were greeted with a smile and utmost courtesy. The property is kept in pristine condition, various pool areas to suit family ,couples etc. The all inclusive options are excellent value. We got to chat with Mr Sachi Bundun( hope I got his name right !!) as he oversaw the personnel at meal times .He answered our queries and happy to throw in his suggestions. We also want to commend Lensley who was always on hand to check if we needed drinks topped up by the bar or by the pool,always polite and happy to engage in conversation. Last but certainly not least ,I chose the hotel for the eco friendly attitude and I was not disappointed. The hotel is striving to educate guests on the importance of sustainable tourism, unnecessary wastage, banning the use of single use plastic. We will definitely be returning to Zilwa . Thank you "

- "Overall a fantastic stay for my 30th birthday! The staff are all so helpful and attentive. What we loved: Staff gave me a birthday cake surprise at dinner - thank you so much Sayid. The house keeping also decorated my bed with a happy birthday message which was so lovely. Staff were also friendly, attentive that they made sure I was comfortable as I was also pregnant. The dolce vita restaurant was delicious - thanks Kenny for serving us! Our room was comfortable, spacious and very quiet so we couldn’t hear other guests. The food at the buffet was delicious and I liked the variety. You can book a taxi from the hotel. The beach is lovely and clean and on a hot day it’s beautiful to relax there. Lots of activities at the hotel and excursions from hotel available. I also used the spa facilities and enjoyed a massage and facial. What could be improved: East of the island can be very windy and we went during the winter season and the pool was cold so maybe the hotel could add some heating to the pool. At breakfast first few days there was decafe coffee but then none so for pregnant guests etc. please ensure decafe tea and coffee is available. Also sometimes at breakfast had to wait a long time before you get tea or coffee served. At checkout the porter said it would be few mins to come get our bags from the room (we called at 11:45am) but only came after 1 hour to with the bags which was stressful as taxi to the airport was waiting so have separate checkout & checkin porter!
