‘The Ivy’ is a ‘self service’ unit which houses a cozy private and compact designed room in the premises of the Cottage. It includes a set of single bunk beds, an attached shower, a corner kitchenette with basic cooking amenities and utensils. It is simply furnished, including a television set.
It has its own private entrance and a spacious balcony.
We do emphasise on providing you with a clean and comfortable environment and would be happy if you were to treat the place as your own home:)
Should you need breakfast, you may order from our main kitchen at extra charge.

Guests have access to the garden in the premises and the patio where the barbecue area is located.

During your stay
Midhill Cottage has its own in-house Caretaker who will assist with check-in and check-out formalities. You will always be in good hands incase I am not around, as I travel a bit. But I am always available on WhatsApp incase you have any queries. However, your privacy will be respected in all manner of speaking, as the guest suite is located completely separate from the main house itself.

We have very important house rules.
We do not allow hired tourist taxis to park in the premises overnight. They may find a place to stay in the town area. Self driven cars are allowed to park.
We advice guests to keep noise level at a minimum after 9:00 pm.

Beehive is a small dream. Long ago in 1971 when my parents made this home, they never thought of any other place as a home. This home you see today was designed by my Mathematician father and supervised by the strongest woman I know, my mother. The home was designed to keep open spaces to build gardens, orchards, and farming, which both enjoyed a lot. Over the years, the space you stand in or will, has received multiple awards for the best Dahlias in town, best cauliflowers, and the most luscious plums and peaches. With time they aged and so did this beautiful home, before the project to refurbish it and make it an experience stay began. Along with Kenneth, we have designed the home to allow you all enjoy the beautiful space, listen to the gurgle of the spring water that flows in the backyard, watch the sparrows argue over the twigs and most importantly relax. The walls of this home will speak of the honesty with which it was built, and windows will bring you tales of why we chose Shillong as a place to live. Your presence will leave behind new tales and we hope that each one is as glorious as what Beehive always has been.

this is a property completed in 1961. the owner is a retired chairman of the North Eastern Hills University. this is a house made with wood n use to be occupied by the family. Binodan one of the sons is my pathner in this property. You can park your vehicle without any extra charges. Caretaker (stays seperately) will available all the time during your stay.

Apartment is well furnished in modern style and sufficiently equipped. The apartment sits behind the main bungalow on the busy but quite street. Famous restaurants are just at five minutes to fifteen minutes walk. Southern taste, Chinese cuisine, Indian and local cuisines as well tea and snacks shop, local market are all at five minutes walk. Opposite the bungalow there is a United Pentecostal Church. Our lane leads up to the dead end. You can walk on the street to enjoy the different culture due to cosmopolitan habitat as well scenic view around from your bungalow sun.

Guests can use garden, parking area, terrace balcony living room, dinning area and kitchen sharing with other guests.
But if you book both the rooms BLISS & GRACE then you can enjoy the complete apartment.
Otherwise you will have your private room along with full bathroom. Rest of the area will be shared with other guests.
