An independent bathroom and a garden are at your disposal. Troya Home Stay is unique because it is great for groups (up to 7 guests) as you don't have to book separate rooms. That is why we don't accommodate single guests or groups of single men. We (the hosts) live above. We have two kids (10 and 12 year-old girls), 3 dogs, and a cat who visits frequently. Speaking of cats, our home stay is named after one of our cats Troya who died at the age of 20 years.

Needless to say, we are animal lovers and we are also amateur cooks. Our breakfast (complimentary in the room rate) has become quite famous with our guests.

Just down the hill, is a perennial stream and on the horizon are the Mawpat Hills. We have two rooms. Each huge room accommodates 5 beds (and one room has a genuine fireplace), so your stay is assured to be comfortable.
Each room has an independent bathroom. Both rooms look out into a garden that is at your disposal. Our guests regularly take plant cuttings from us to grow in their own gardens back home.

We are located half way down a hill away from the noise of the main road, but still close to the main spots like Police Point in Laitumkhrah which has many eateries such as KFC, Dominoes, Deja Vue. This is also the place to get taxis and buses to places like Police Bazaar.

As locals, we know many places that are great tourist attractions and we can organize taxis and cabs at actual rates and drivers who are knowledgeable.

The Guest Nest is a 1bhk apartment on the third floor of Chearilys Duplex, Laitumkhrah located in the heart of Shillong. Free parking available at the premises. Rooms come with attached bathroom, kitchen, living room and a separate entrance. Kitchen is well equipped With a stove, silverware, dishware, cookware, and basic cooking utensils, and some dish cleaning supplies needed by you during your stay, a coffee makers also made available for you to start off your day. A balcony and a terrace for you to sit, relax and enjoy the beauty of hills in the background or the sunsets and sunrise . Bedrooms holds a queen size bed with warm blankets and clean bed sheets, complimentary WiFi with router , bathroom is equipped with shower,geyser and 24 hours running water hot or cold with a western toilet.

Construction work is going on next to the building, construction nosie during the day from 9 am to 6 pm .

If you're looking for a place close to the main city and also crave to be amidst the sights and sounds of nature, this is the perfect place for you. It is located in a residential neighbourhood around 20 to 30 minutes away from the city centre, Police Bazaar. Kindly note that there is another building undergoing construction just next to the homestay, however it does not affect the balcony view. The homestay building is located behind the family house. A small path leads to the back.

You won’t want to leave this charming, one-of-a-kind place. It is a private room with attached bathroom, kitchenette and private balcony with forest view. Located closer to Shillong peak and Air Force museum, it is at a distance of 25 to 30 minutes drive from city centre (Police Bazaar). Kindly note there is another building undergoing construction just next to the homestay building, however, it will not obstruct the balcony view. The homestay is in another building behind the family home.

This unit is an apartment on the ground floor of an independent house. It has a separate entrance.
As you enter there is a dining room on the right where we serve breakfast. The hallway opens up to a spacious sitting room. The bedroom is on the left of the sitting room. The bathroom is on the right of the sitting room, not attached to the bedroom but dedicated only for your use.
The caretaker's family lives on the same floor, but in a separate part of the house with a different entrance.
