I managed with the help of a lovely neighbour’s son :) Some of the streets are very hilly but if you want to get a taxi everywhere, it wouldn’t be an issue. Although there is a 15-min walk to the Şişli-Mecidiyeköy metro station which in 10 minutes takes you to all the attractions in the other European side. Last but not the least, the host Emre was very communicative and ready to help us with any questions when we needed."

There was a leakage in our sitting room from upper apartment bathroom before our arrival but the owner claimed that he had checked the apartment A-Z and there wasn't any such issue. Leakage was fixed by the builders but we had to stay in the apartment because there were no lock keys for the rooms to lock our valuables. Our 1 day got lost. There was a power failure in the building and there was no backup generator; hence we were stuck on the 8th floor for 3 hours as lifts stopped working too. Water supply was main issue in this apartment. We were out of water for 3-4 times. Once it was out for 10 hours without advance notice or messages. Manager claimed that messages were sent and notices were pasted that work will be in carried out. Swimming pool pump broke and guests were asked to vacant the pool and was shut for 48 hours. Shower tray & tiles were full of fungus & algae. There were worms and maggots coming out of the tiles behind the wash basin in the bathroom. We won't be booking them again. "

However, after being away for 2–4 hours, we would return to find the room not cleaned. Due to the poor cleanliness, we actually got sick during our stay at the hotel. 2) We requested a refund due to the appalling service and lack of hygiene. The staff refused, claiming they “did not understand” our complaint, despite being able to process payments without issue. 3) According to local sources, the hotel is primarily used for short-term or inappropriate purposes, such as sex or one-night stands. This was unexpected and raised concerns about the hotel’s suitability for regular guests. Given this information, we strongly recommend the removal of this listing from reputable booking platforms. We strongly advise travellers to avoid this hotel considering above points and to go with more well known hotels like Hilton/Holiday Inn."

- "The flat is very nice, comfortable and clean. Burak is very attentive, helpful and was always asking us if we needed something I highly recommend it" - "The owner of the flat was very hospitable and communication with him was very easy. On our first day, the check in to the flat was very smooth. The owner got in touch and showed us how. The apartment is fully equiped with whatever you need... dishwasher, washing machine, dryer, iron and whatever a home requires. The views from 2 of the rooms (double bed and 2 single bed with balcony) are amazing, especially during sunset/night. One problem we found out as soon as we entered the flat was that the door for every room in the house (except the main door) had frosted glass... including the bathroom and the toilet. It wasn't a big problem for us as the owner had kept a lot of large cloths stored in a cupboard. So we used them cover every bedroom door and toilet and bathroom door, and it solved the issue instantly. When we moved into the flat, we came to know that the area/neighborhood was not really for tourists and it was all locals. However, the Turkish people are always friendly and are willing to help whenever you need it. As soon as you come out of the flat and you walk up the road, you'll see a lot of shops with whatever you need. 2 shops I highly recommend anyone to buy from, if you are staying at this flat, is "Türkiş Kafe" (fast food) and Başpinar"
