The two 3 bed & 4 bed rooms are in the attic of our ostrich farm. They are accessible by a staircase from the entrance area. We provide you with a house key.

If you don't want to get in the car, you can also get food delivered if you order for a certain amount.
I used to cook a regularily for my guests. You had the chance to participate in a lodge dinner. I cooked a vegetarian meal and everybody who wanted could have dinner in the common area (in the style of many hostels on the Camino de Santiago, where this is common). I don't do this regularily any more at the moment because of my family and son , but maybe there will be a dinner again in the future from time to time. I have great memories of these evenings!

Our guest house, completed in 2020, is located in the middle of the picturesque town center of Fessenbach, an old wine village not far from the city of Offenburg, which is also often referred to as the "gateway to the Black Forest." The carefully furnished house can comfortably accommodate up to 8 guests. From this starting point you have the choice between nature, city, culture or numerous festivities taking place throughout the year in the nearby area. And Strasbourg and Europa-Park Rust are also just around the corner.
The space
The guest house extends over four floors, of which, depending on the number of guests, two, three or all four can be used. You enter the living area of the house on the first floor, where there is a small, well-equipped kitchen, dining room and living room with satellite TV, as well as a guest toilet. From the dining room you can reach the terrace at ground level, which is framed by a small, enchanted garden. In summer you can enjoy the evening here with a glass of wine.
On the 2nd floor is the "master bedroom" with an open walk-in bathroom and access to the balcony with unique views over the village, to the neighboring Ortenberg Castle and into the Kinzig Valley. A narrow staircase leads from here to the attic, where there are up to four more sleeping places, ideal for older children who need their own realm. Due to the open design, the sleeping areas on the first floor and in the attic, as well as the bathroom, are not separated by doors. You should know that and adjust to it.
In the basement is another bedroom with its own shower room. The room is equipped with a comfortable double bed and an additional fold-out couch, which can accommodate one to two children if necessary. Bedroom and bathroom in the basement both have windows to the garden.
