I offer you a nice quiet room, close to the heart of the "favorite village of the French 2017". You can walk there and admire the beautifully decorated houses of this medieval village. You will stay in a 17th century Alsatian house, in a bedroom (blue) on the top floor. A 2nd bedroom (red) is also rented a few times, in season, on the same landing. The bathroom, with bathtub and toilet, to be shared, separates the 2 bedrooms, for privacy. You will have a 2nd toilet on the lower landing. On the first floor is the living room (private), a toilet, the kitchen and the veranda overlooking the garden, where you can have breakfast, admiring the many birds enjoying the seeds I give them. On the upper floor is the night area, already described. So there are stairs...

The house is on a street adjacent to the main street, 200 or 300 m from the fortified bridge and the Dr. Albert Schweitzer Museum, the garden side being along the city walls. You will find the Malgré Nous parking lot (for a fee) to park your car. Talk to me before you come, there are sometimes other solutions. From the house you can go hiking, to the castle, through vineyards or forest, on foot or by bike. You can leave your bike in my garage. Rental of electric or other bicycles, from Easter to All Saints' Day, in Kaysersberg, opposite the town hall (it is advisable to book in high season)

I offer 2 rooms that are for rent at the same time. You will love these two bedrooms on the 2nd floor in a 17th century Alsatian house built on the ramparts of Kaysersberg, close to the heart of the "French people's favorite village 2017". You are 100 meters from the main street and can walk there and admire the beautifully decorated houses of this medieval village. Nearby: museum, walks, swimming pool, shops, restaurants, Intermarché, golf 3 km away...

The space
The Louis room has a beautiful view of the Schlossberg hill and is on the 2nd floor. The 2nd Léonie bedroom is also on the same landing overlooking our garden. The bathroom with toilet is shared. The 2 bedrooms are separated for privacy.
On the first floor is our living space (private), but you will have your sweet and savory breakfast (cold meats, cheese, kouglof, homemade jams, honey, bread, fruit juice) in the room adjoining our kitchen. Of course everything is local. In summer it will be on the terrace overlooking the vineyard.
There are lots of stairs and narrow stairs. Not suitable for people with limited mobility.

Guest access
The house is on a street perpendicular to the main street. Our private parking is located in the extension of the house and garden and just before the green house. Our entrance is on Rue Basse du Rempart at number 9. Front door with a step.
From our house you can go hiking, to the castle, through vineyards or forest, on foot or by bike. Rental of electric or other bikes, from Easter to All Saints' Day, in Kaysersberg, opposite the town hall (it is advisable to book in high season)

Depending on my availability, I can show you some short walks on the heights of Kaysersberg.
I really appreciate being given a check-in time, even a little approximate, for my personal organization...

Other things to note
As it is an old Alsatian house with a wooden frame, you will feel good there. There are different levels on the 2nd floor, a step to get into the Louis bedroom and a step to get into the Léonie bedroom and shower room.
In short, there are 13 steps to get to the 1st floor (breakfast area or terrace in summer) and 13 steps to get to the 2nd floor for the night area. There are lots of stairs and narrow stairs. Not suitable for people with limited mobility.
