- "The best thing is the location of the room, was walking distance to most things. The size of the room and the breakfast were good too. However the air conditioner never worked (even though the reservation said there was air conditioning so DON'T go in the summer!!) and the room wasn't even cleaned everyday. The hair dryer was good at first but then one day they gave it to another guest WITHOUT telling us and they gave us a small one that doesn't work well. Also we only saw the person in charge twice during our stay, not very hospitable. Also we got the room near the dining room so we woke up with noises from the other guests. Another bonus is that If you are travelling light you don't even need to pay for a taxi from the airport - it's just a shortish (50 minute) walk. The only slight downside of this location is that it's a tiny village on the main road - so there is traffic noise, even late at night. (Second place is finding a way to move around Sicily which lets you arrive on time.) However, once you get there, you'll find a perfectly good place to sleep and recover from hiking around Trapani and Erice for hours on end. The room is clean, the bed is better than it has any right to be, and the bathroom beats out at least one supposed three-star hotel. Location is just off the main avenue, and it's easy to explore the two cities from there. Biggest problems are that the 'breakfast' part is a comp card for a nearby cafe -- one food item, one drink -- the elevator can be single-occupancy and if you arrive at night, the hallway lights for the main building love to turn themselves off every few minutes. (There's also very few restaurants in the area, so plan your food outings carefully.) But if you can reach the actual rooms, it's a good place to stay for a while. "
