There’s always a refreshing breeze blowing off the caribbean sea. Here is a mixed tropical orchid on a hilltop down a road with no name just off the beaten track of jamaica. This is a rural community in the hills where you will experience genuine jamaican culture far from the hustle and hassle of the popular tourist zones. The people are friendly and sincere. Your host, gary, is a local farmer with an intimate knowledge of the immediate area as well as the many spectacular attractions around the island. He is also very adept at creating delicious meals from locally produced ingredients. The house is mostly wood with a concrete foundation with two bedrooms, a kitchen and bathroom. There is some privacy as the house is at the back of the property and plenty of shade from the enormous mango, almond, lime, plum, niesberry, jamaican apple and avocado trees. It is roughly an hour from kingston, 45 minutes from ocho rios or three hours from montego bay. The closest beach, long beach, is secluded and serene. In this region there are also spectacular waterfalls that you must hike through the jungle with a guide to find. At dusk the crickets and frogs begin their chorus and by day nightingales and doves carry the ambient tune. There is not really any dangerous wildlife here – just donkeys, goats, mongoose…this is the real jamaica. Enjoy fresh non-industrial food. This is jamaica unaltered and unplugged. Rich in sunshine, colour, flavour, and warmth.

The Space:
Claudia's hideout is a cute space, the room has a queen bed with attached modern bathroom, television, cable, A/C and fast WiFi. We use the finest linens and towels. The property is home to another rental unit called Claudia's Lookout which is a 1 studio with killer view. Guests have access to a stunning pool deck, deck chairs, sun beds and chillout areas. The gardens are beautiful for relaxing and reading a book. Birds singing can be heard all around and there is a fish pond.

Guest Access:
Guests will have access to the cottage, swimming pool deck and the gardens. You will be provided with a room key and entrance gate key. Those driving a car will be provided with a gate clicker.

Only guests staying as per the the booking may enter the property freely, we have special rules for visitors mentioned in the Visitor Rules section.

The Neighborhood:
Your stay with us includes membership to the Rose Hall Beach Club located 5 minutes away next to the newly opened Jewel Grande Resort. The gorgeous white sand beach is flanked by facilities which include a bar and restaurant, swimming pool, picnic area, change rooms and free WiFi.

Claudia's Lookout is located in the Ironshore area in close proximity to the sea down the road is the Whitter Village Shopping Centre which has a supermarket, KFC, Pizza Hut, Birdshack, a pharmacy and many other stores.

There are a number of very popular dining options ranging from 2-5 minutes away by car, these include The Sugar Mill, Sea Grape Terrace and world famous Scotchies. Pelican Grill, China House, Pier One, Margaritaville, Houseboat Grill and Mystic Thai are a few of the restaurants that are located ten to twenty minutes away by car, and many of them offer free pickup for diners. For delivery, contact the Sun and Fun Jerk Centre at Shoppes of Rose Hall where you can choose from lobster, fish, shrimp and an array of dining choices. If you fancy a round of golf the property lies minutes away from 3 internationally rated courses - The White Witch, The Half Moon and Cinnamon Hill.

Getting Around:
We offer airport pick-up with a supermarket stop and airport drop off at a very reasonable cost. We also offer transport to the Rose Hall Beach Club, Chukka Tours pick-up point and around Montego Bay at low rates, just let us know you require transport.

Only the number of guests on the booking may enter the property. Should guests wish to have visitors they are required to make a request through the platform they booked on. A Government issued photo ID is required for each visitor and admission is subject to approval. Visitors are not allowed on property without prior approval.

Absolutely no visitors will be allowed after 10pm. Additional guests must be added to the booking.
