There was mountains in front and behind the villa which meant every entrance had natural beauty that you can escape in. The holiday in itself was amazing and would definitely recommend this property to anyone else who wishes to visit the area. Colin was also attentive to our needs noticing our late arrival and asked us for a shopping list which he ensured was at the villa on our arrival as we had three hungry teens! The old town dates back to the Phoenicians, the narrow cobbled streets wind between white terraced Moorish houses. The village sits on the edge of a mountain reserve that boasts many wonderful walks. Both towns offer numerous restaurants, bars & other entertainments.

Winter: From October through April there is always a possibility of rain, but now the chance of it is so remote, that we have come to welcome it when it does. It is a perfect time of year for those who enjoy the mountains, walking or exploring the surrounding towns & cities. Granada’s Alhambra, Seville & Cordoba loose the unbearable heat of summer & you have the tourist areas basically to your selves. Christmas & New Year are normally sunny & all of the restaurants are open, although most work with reservation on the festive nights. The Spanish celebrate New Year on the street, it begins with spectacular firework displays in every city, town & village & festivity continues well into the next morning. Spring here begins in February with the almond blossom & yellow clover that line the roads. It’s a good time to visit the little villages around our area & in the Alpujarra mountains south of Granada. If you are into skiing, the Sierra Nevada is famous for its slopes & is less than 2 hours away.

The Corral de Serafín is a house that is next to the Patio del Carbon, these houses can be joined or separated on the second floor, it has two doors, if the group is large they open these doors and become a single house with 5 bedrooms , 10 people in bed and the possibility of 4 more in sofa beds and extra beds. if two different groups come, the doors are closed and one house becomes independent from the other, with nothing in common. The house is accessed through a very sunny outdoor patio especially in winter, and in which it is nice to take the cool in summer, the house on the first floor has the kitchen, a toilet, a laundry room and living room with fireplace for the winter. Located on an ecological farm of fruit trees, it is the ideal starting point to explore the National Park and its surroundings. There are plenty of mountain trails to get to know the pinsapos as well as others along the river bank to discover its ponds and waterfalls or for cycling.
You can also rest on its multiple porches, relax in the pool or enjoy the fireplace in winter.

The house can accommodate up to six guests.

On the ground floor there is a dining room with a fireplace and an open kitchen in an open space, and the bathroom.

Up the stairs we have two spacious bedrooms with double beds plus an open area with two single beds.

The space
The house is only for guests, it is not shared with anyone.
It has at the entrance a porch with parking, another side porch where the barbecue is located, and views of the pool and the Castillo de Matrera, on the porch there is an entrance to the house towards the kitchen, for your convenience in your stay.
The house has a dining room of 50 m2, with a large fireplace, TV, two three-seater sofas, chairs and armchair, baby chair, and two large tables of 2x1 mtro.
There is an indoor bathroom with a shower, and everything you need, including a hair dryer and an outdoor one downstairs in the pool also with a shower (in summer only) as the water is heated with an outdoor tank that is heated by the sun. PERSONAL TOWELS MUST BE BROUGHT BY THE CLIENTS.
The pool is only for the guests staying in the house, the owner will take care of its maintenance so that it is in perfect condition for you. Pool season is from 1 June to 15 September.
The house consists of three bedrooms, ideal for three weddings and their small ones. One bedroom has two double beds, one double and one 105 and the other with one double and two 90 cm. The beds are super equipped with good Nordics, and there are lamps with night lighting for comfort.
The kids have a blast here because there are toys for all ages: bikes, swings, balls, etc.
Guests must bring their towels both bathroom and swimming towels.
There are animals on the property so the owner goes every day or almost everyone to feed them, in the same way he takes care of the maintenance of the pool, the property and the garbage. If you need firewood or anything you can ask him for it without any problem, he will gladly assist you. Pets are not allowed

The house is only for guests who book the house only. Pets are found on the adjoining estate. The pool season is from June 1 to September 15 and the owner is in charge of its maintenance.
