The light-flooded, loft-like holiday home was once the stable building of the approx. 200-year-old finca. A spiral staircase leads to the cozy sleeping area, equipped with a wide double bed, which invites you to dream. The bright living area stands out due to the still existing trough, which preserves the original character of the house. In this living area there are also two additional sleeping options, one of them in an annex. Otherwise, the sofa beds invite you to cuddle or read comfortably. On cool evenings, a fireplace ensures comfort and romance. The open kitchen is fully equipped and fits harmoniously into the living area. The spacious bathroom is also worth mentioning, because it is equipped with a so-called rain shower, so that nothing stands in the way of a relaxing wellness program. In front of the house is the terrace, directly in the green, with a view of palm trees and avocado trees. It is equipped with a large table and six chairs. There are also two adjustable wooden loungers for sunbathing. When the lights are switched on in the evening and the palm trees in front of the terrace are illuminated, you can relax with a glass of wine. This cozy country house "Los Aperos" lies at an Avocado finca in the green district of El Rincón but also near Puerto de la Cruz, the tourist resort in the north of Tenerife. From the windows of the villa you look at the sea and the house with its avocado and fruit trees. The approximately 60 m2 large villa has high laced with beamed ceilings. Thanks for considering Cottage Hibiscus at Villa Juanita for your vacation. We are sure that you will enjoy what we hope will be one of your best vacations in Tenerife. It is very cozy and accommodates 2 comfortably. There is also room for a folding bed or a cod if you travel with a child or a baby.

Here you will be able to enjoy a relaxing breakfast in your private terrace in the shade of an avocado tree while you listen to the song of the birds and sometimes the sound of the waves crushing against the black sand of the nearby beaches. Also you can watch the stars on clear nights, it is a beautiful spectacle.

Enjoy tranquillity but close to everything. Located within a very quiet avocado plantation, the cottage is only 5 min away from La Orotava and Puerto de la Cruz; the most important touristic towns of the north of the Island and 2 min from TF-5 the North motorway that connects the north with the rest of the Island.

Criss, my wife and me will try to help you in anything you need. We have put a lot of love and dedication to ensure that you are as comfortable as we would like to be when we go on vacation.

The cottage has been built in July 2014 on a very private lot of the avocado plantation and it offers all the commodities of a modern home without loosing the charm of the wooden construction.

Restaurants – The closest restaurant is “Restaurante San Diego” Here you can eat well and at a reasonable price. Try the “Pollo a la Brasa” “Grilled Chicken”; they use firewood for the grill and it is very tasty. You can walk from the property as long as you do not mind a steep hill after eating. If you go out to the main road at the Church, you walk down towards the Ocean, at approximately 200 meters you will find the restaurant right at the end of the strait stretch where the main road splits into 2 tracks. Left to Playa Bollullo or Right to Playa El Ancon. Another restaurants nearby that we can recommend are:

Passing comercial centre Al Campo La Villa towards La Montañeta about 200 m on your right. It is a beautiful setting with various thematic restaurants and coffee shop with pastries as well on weekends the serve brunch. Also there is an outside area with animals for the kids and grownups to visit.
- El Calderito in Santa Ursula good food with spectacular views.
- La Bodeguita de Enfrente in front of El Calderito, nice tapas.
- Casa Egon in La Orotava with a terrace overlooking the Jardines Victoria.
- La Solera also in La Orotava is a nice place to have Tapas (Try the Serrano Ham)
- Tito’s Bodeguita in San Nicolas near Al Campo La Villa, very nice patio with live music on weekends.
- La Compostelana in Plaza del Charco in Puerto de La Cruz.

Supermarkets – You have many within 5 to 10 minutes by car. Mercadona, Hiperdino and Lidl in Santa Ursula are the closest. On Sundays you have to go to Puerto de la Cruz and there you can find “Hipertrebol” in “Centro Comercial La Cupula” or “Supermercado 2000” in La Paz or “Mercadona” in “Commercial Centre Martianez”.

Commercial Centres - “Centro Comercial Al Campo - La Villa” is the closest one (5 minutes by car) and is the largest in the North. It has a huge supermarket, many stores, cinema theatres and a few restaurants and bars. Also you can find McDonalds and Burger King. “Centro Comercial Martianez” is much smaller but it is in Puerto de la Cruz and opens Sundays.

Beaches – Close by you have three of the most beautiful black sand beaches of the north of the Island. “Bollullo”, “Los Patos” and “El Ancon”

Things to do – Places to Visit

There are lots of activities that you can enjoy and places to visit while staying at Villa Juanita.

I would recommend that you visit La Orotava (Oldest colonial town of the North of the Island dating back to 1496 and only a 5 to 8 minute drive away from the property. Here you can see The “Casa de Los Balcones” an old colonial house with spectacular wooden handcrafted balconies and a beautiful interior patio that present in all colonial houses in the Canary Islands. Also you can visit the 'Victoria Gardens', the Town Hall or the beautiful Church of La Concepcion. There are many small restaurants where you can enjoy the typical Spanish tapas or full meals or enjoy a nice expresso at the Kiosko of Plaza de la Constitucion.

Also within a 5 to 8 minute drive you can be in Puerto de la Cruz (main tourist centre of the north). Here you can enjoy a nice walk from Playa Martianez to Plaza del Charco passing by San Telmo all along the coast line. It is very touristy but very nice. Also you can visit the Botanical Gardens, enjoy a relaxing Spa at the Hotel Playa Canaria, visit the Loro Parque. Also in Puerto de la Cruz you can enjoy the salt water swimming pool complex of “Lago Martianez” designed by the famous canarian arquitect Cesar Manrrique. There is also a gambling casino, restaurants, bars, a fishing pier, etc. Bathing in the ocean can be done at Playa Jardin, San Telmo or Playa Martianez.

Don’t miss out on visiting the National Park “Las Cañadas del Teide” The road to get there as well as the National Park itself constitute one of the most beautiful volcanic landscapes of the world.

- "The place was really cosy and beautiful with a view on the sea and the Teide volcano. I recommend ++++" - "The property is very modern where required, yet still in keeping with the location/surrounding buildings. The pool is very nice indeed, very clean, a real highlight and just like the photos. The location is down a short farm track (very easily driveable) and is therefore far enough away from the main roads/town to be incredibly peaceful. While a car is essential, shops and larger towns are only 10 mins drive away so very convenient. We did walk a couple of times up the farm track into town to nice local restaurants. One for lunch which was only a 15 min walk away and one that was a bit further (40-45 mins walk approx) for dinner. We also used taxis a couple of times to go out for a meal at night in Puerto de la Cruz, and that was no problem at all, they are cheap and happy to come right to the door of the property. All in all, this was an excellent stay away from it all, with very nice hosts, who while available whenever required, were very respectful of your privacy (the cottage/pool is very private indeed) Thanks very much for a great time."

The house has a very well equipped kitchen, it has a fridge, microwave, sandwich maker, toaster, coffee maker of two different classes (with filter or espresso machine), oven with hob, washing machine, orange juicer, the washing machine is integrated in the own kitchen. It also has a table and four chairs.
The master bedroom is very spacious, it can include up to 1 single bed and a cot at the same time, apart from the double bed. 32 "television and wooden floor, also has a three-door closet with full-length mirror included.
The second room has a 1.35 cm bed, with mud floor and two-door wardrobe.
Bathroom with a large shower tray with steam extractor and hair dryer, on arrival towels of different sizes are in the same bathroom.
The living / dining room has a dining table for four people, and the living room with 2 sofas (one of them sofa-bed) and 40 "television with local and international channels.
We have incorporated a passage room between the living room and a bedroom with artificial grass as floor, which gives a remarkable warmth to that room, it is a perfect surface for children to play on the floor. It is also suitable for reading as it has a window next to a third sofa from which you can see the outside garden and have the feeling that said garden continues inside the house by having artificial grass and natural plants. In this space you can also find books and various toys for children.

All rooms have views of the garden, except the bathroom. Both mattresses, pillows and sofas will be cleaned at the exit of each guest with the Kobold hygiene and health system. The apartment is fully equipped. Bath towels. Bed linen is provided, beds are made upon arrival.

The property was clean and as described usual mod cons bonus having a dishwasher washing machine and tumble dryer! Beds were very comfortable. We wanted to stay away from the usual tourist hot spots. This definitely is off the beaten track but really spectacular. We stayed in February and it was cool in the evenings as you are 500m up in the hills. The views are wonderful from the apartments. One evening Luisa produced a superb paella which again was wonderful. The pool is unheated and was the only thing we couldn't use but we went down to the beaches which were wonderful and quiet. We did a lot of exploring up the coast which is very easy to do. You would need a car to stay here. There was a fabulous wood burning stove for the cooler evenings. But in the summer this place I'm sure would be wonderful to get away from the burning heat of the day. "
