- "Fabulous " - "Probably it is the best hotel on the island with its many restaurants, swimming pools and gardens full of beautiful palm trees and flowers. A very enjoyable place to spend one’s vacations." - "Just returned from 5 nights/6 days at this hotel. Although it was very busy (UK half term) there were plenty of restaurants, pools and sun-beds such that we never lost out to the early rising, bed reserving brigade. We ate outside of the hotel a couple of times and there was very little difference in price so we didn't feel that the hotel restaurants were overpriced, although poolside drinks were a little steep. I would recommend the whale watching trip, we saw dolphins, pilot whales and swam with turtles. This hotel is built on a steep hillside and so there are a lot of steps. Although they have golf buggies to take you from top to bottom I would not recommend it to those unsteady on their feet. Overall the hotel is fabulous, with so many different areas to explore. Great views and great for families . The only draw back was that we thought the beach was part of the hotel. In fact it is a public beach where you pay for sun-beds, parasols etc. There are no complimentary water sports at this hotel."

- "A truly 5-star hotel with superb attention to detail. What made it stands out from all other luxury hotels we stayed in the past is the service, reception, pool side, restaurant, snack bar, spa, maid, everyone is so friendly and helpful. We had a junior suite with decent size balcony, wonderful view over the ocean and beach. Very clean and spacious bathroom. Highly recommend half board as the dinner quality is really good (buffet starter and dessert, main course is made to order to choose from 6 options, different every night). Also, as we had an evening flight, we booked spa after check-out, the reception staff offered us a courtesy room to use afterwards for 45 min to refresh, before we headed to restaurant for late lunch. - "My wife, 2 year old son and I stayed at the Hotel Suite Villa Maria in May 2024. Our experience from the moment we arrived was nothing short of exceptional. The check in process was smooth, the individual behind reception and the bell boy who took our luggage (and parked our hire car in the under ground garage) were professional, polite and engaging with us all (including my son). Guests staying at our Emblematic Hotel La Casa de La Camelia, have access to the central patio where diners of the restaurant El patio de La Camelia meet.
In the back of the house, you will find the best kept secret of our hotel , the backyard or old huerta. A patio reserved for our guests in which to enjoy breakfast without haste, reading time and relaxation.

Other things to note
La Casa de La Camelia treasures many stories. One of our favorites is starring the manuscript Costumes of the Canary Islands, by Sir Alfred Diston.

The illustrated work of this English traveler, which was established in the Puerto de la Cruz at the beginning of 1700, reflected the uses and customs of the inhabitants of the Canary Islands and served to make known the culture and traditions of our archipelago in the United Kingdom in the 18th century.

His detailed illustrations have served as a reference to many artisans to recreate the typical costumes of the time. Today they decorate our rooms in homage to this valuable legacy that the last owners of this house, descendants of Sir Alfred Diston, who was last seen among these walls.
