There is the childrens pool which was very well set up but if you didn't want the noise or excitement then there was a quiet area with an equally good pool; all well equiped with good sun loungers, parasols and life guards. Only one little comment about the pools was that there seemed to be a lot of rules, no inflatables, no snorkles or diving ect. Hotel was within easy walking distance of the local resort and beach, didn't need to go to the beach as the pool was so good at the hotel but as we were only B&B we walked to the town to eat each night as there was no shortage of restaurants there and a lovely marina too. All in all would highly recommend this hotel."

- "Fabulous " - "Probably it is the best hotel on the island with its many restaurants, swimming pools and gardens full of beautiful palm trees and flowers. A very enjoyable place to spend one’s vacations." - "Just returned from 5 nights/6 days at this hotel. Although it was very busy (UK half term) there were plenty of restaurants, pools and sun-beds such that we never lost out to the early rising, bed reserving brigade. We ate outside of the hotel a couple of times and there was very little difference in price so we didn't feel that the hotel restaurants were overpriced, although poolside drinks were a little steep. I would recommend the whale watching trip, we saw dolphins, pilot whales and swam with turtles. This hotel is built on a steep hillside and so there are a lot of steps. Although they have golf buggies to take you from top to bottom I would not recommend it to those unsteady on their feet. Overall the hotel is fabulous, with so many different areas to explore. Great views and great for families . The only draw back was that we thought the beach was part of the hotel. In fact it is a public beach where you pay for sun-beds, parasols etc. There are no complimentary water sports at this hotel."

What made it stands out from all other luxury hotels we stayed in the past is the service, reception, pool side, restaurant, snack bar, spa, maid, everyone is so friendly and helpful. We had a junior suite with decent size balcony, wonderful view over the ocean and beach. Very clean and spacious bathroom. Highly recommend half board as the dinner quality is really good (buffet starter and dessert, main course is made to order to choose from 6 options, different every night). Also, as we had an evening flight, we booked spa after check-out, the reception staff offered us a courtesy room to use afterwards for 45 min to refresh, before we headed to restaurant for late lunch. - "Upon arrival we received a welcome drink and checked in. The reception staff provided us with maps and information about the hotel and our luggage was taken to our room. I realised that when we got into our room, they had upgraded us to a fantastic deluxe suite (whether it was because I had just celebrated my birthday), but they never commented at check-in so this was a great start to the holiday. We booked on a half board basis and couldn't fault the choice and variety of food on the menu. For breakfast they have a separate menu for eggs, as well as a buffet for cooked breakfast, cold meat platter, yoghurt & fruit plus pastries and breads. For the evening they offer you a choice of 4 main courses, as well as a salad and dessert bar and wine menu. You were never rushed whilst eating and the staff were on hand to ask for anything extra you required. Breakfast can get quite busy so they use the Gourmet Club as an overflow to eat, rather than keep people waiting. The housekeeping services are excellent and staff were still around cleaning rooms into the evening. Towels were changed daily and everything was kept spotless, we couldn't fault anything. One of the bulbs had gone in our room so reported it and they sent staff up within no time at all to replace and check the rest out. Pool towels were supplied and again all the areas were kept clean and staff were available to bring drinks over. Would highly recommend a stay, we couldn't fault the staff or service !!!"

- "My wife, 2 year old son and I stayed at the Hotel Suite Villa Maria in May 2024. Our experience from the moment we arrived was nothing short of exceptional. The check in process was smooth, the individual behind reception and the bell boy who took our luggage (and parked our hire car in the under ground garage) were professional, polite and engaging with us all (including my son). From that moment on every employee we came across from room service to the people working in the restaurants/bar showed the same dedication of professionalism. The facilities in the resort are excellent and well maintained. We went to the indoor play area which my son loved, as well as the outdoor play area. The breakfast has everything you can think of and the area where breakfast is served (restaurant La Torre) has breathtaking views on a morning. The pools are clean well maintained. - "This was my first solo trip so it was important for me to stay at a safe hotel. Hotel Fariones did not disappoint in this area. The hotel is stunningly beautiful, best place to relax and recharge. It is like being in a tropical oasis only in Europe, lovely palm trees, tropical plants, flowers an infinity pool, two jacuzzi’s, and you can have a lovely massage as I did looking out to sea. It has its very own beach however, you will need to use your room card to access the security doors to the main beach which I enjoyed very much going for a run early in the morning it’s so safe! I found the area to be safe to walk around by myself until 8/9pm some nights. Everything thing you need is easily accessible restaurants, bars, shopping etc, if you want to rent a car, bicycle, scooter you can do that too all in walking distance from the hotel. The staff are great throughout all very helpful and accommodating. I would definitely recommend a stay at the Hotel Fariones. 🙂"

- "An amazing getaway that is still a short drive to town and the beach. A little oasis tucked up in the mountains. Quiet and tranquil with a beautiful view and pool. The room was large and comfortable, the bed we found a bit uncomfortable but it’s a personal preference. The staff were lovely and knowledgeable about the area, the food and of course the wine. Great bar area and places to dine inside and out. The only drawback was the price of the drinks, three times what they were at a hotel we stayed at on the beach just days earlier.
