I was expecting a villa with a private pool. However it turns out that there this wasn"t so when I arrived I was actually disappointed. BUT to be fair Sunrise Cottage on Nusa Pendida is actually a hidden gem. In the photo which was taken at the breakfast bar, one can see the swing in the middle of the sea. Only a few yards north of this swing is in fact a coral reef..all you need is snorkel and mask and natures underwater aquarium is at your feet..only metres from this hotel. Amazing! I found out later that this is in fact a scuba diving spot and it is very shallow.. i am not a strong swimmer. I only wish I had known about the coral reef so i could have saved about a million (idr of course) exploring nusa pendida. Honestly, the owners need to advertise this specific feature better on this website. Having said that the scenery of Nusa Pendida is beautiful. The hotel also serves an delicious not to be missed a la carte breakfast. normally in hotels one gets scrambled eggs etc on buffet trays that have been prepared hours in advance. its different here. On the a la carte menu was eggs benedict which I personally love I fully send my kudos to the staff for their skill in making them perfectly"

The property is located on a very steep hill, which made us not want to rent a scooter. 3) improve communication: no one told us that we would be charged extra for ordering more than one plate per person for breakfast, and no mention that the hotel didn’t take credit card either. Our cabin is built in the middle of the rice field There is only a path way leading to the villa. You will walk or ride a scooter for approx 200 meters or 2 Minutes from the last car park.
I personally love to walk in because it's so beautiful surroundings there. Especially around 6pm, very romantic!

Walking to the nearest veggie restaurant is 5 mins only, and 7 mins for more food option. The most practical way is to ride a scooter or bicycle.

Other things to note
*Please note that this cabin is in the middle of PRODUCTIVE RICEFIELD, do not expect the ricefield to be green all the time, it can be yellow also, or in the harvest season.

Bali is a tropical island with all of its amazing biodiversity. You may find plenty of various animals in Bali, ranging from the endangered exotic creature until common house animals you’ve seen every day like Lizard and Gecko or small insects like ants and mosquitoes. We do our best to control mosquito population in our villa by doing fumigation once a month and clean the villa thoroughly every day but we cannot eradicate all. However, we always provide mosquito spray asper request

The smell of sewage coming from underground is a common problem because it usually uses an underground water system, water that is slippery like foam is also a common problem in Bali

The property typical complex villa , there is 4 unit cabins nearby and closed with Mainstreet , our staff assist for check in process only untill 21 pm , no housekeeping after 5pm , no engineering incharge after 5pm ,

The entire property was established in 2012 , maintenance is still being carried out but not major repairs , this causes unpredictable cases to occur during your stay . You will find damp and cracked building walls in several places, rat can come if you're not close the door , leaves fall into the pool , water & electricity that goes out for 1-2 hours, water filter that only run for 6 hours a day, water flow is not heavy, trouble air-con , hot water only works 10 minutes and it will take 30 minutes to return, smelly water when turned on (using drilled water), the above can happen. if you have expectations with the facilities and conditions of the property when it is not a pandemic, then our property is not suitable for you. take a look at our review for reference !

Please be advised that this is not a fresh building then its affect our furniture & cleanliness. Dust, leaves, twiges , spider webs , body of animals , or insects , eggs , and anything that can be carried by the wind can easily enter the outdoor areas, placing leftovers or food anywhere can also be easily visited by small animals such as ants and others.

The tropical climate in Indonesia, especially in Bali, which is uncertain ( such as rain and heat ) also affects the quality of our buildings/ construction such as humidity, moss and mold , stains and rusts , even the quality of water in Bali also affects everything it passes through, such as tarnished iron and scale.

You may also find parts of the doors, windows and walls that cannot be closed tightly (usually caused by guests who stayed before because they used it roughly) we cannot repair this case in one or two days to make repairs.

These things cannot be avoided but we take care of them in step by step
