Our holiday bungalow cottage with large private saltwater pool is located in lovely Sekawa Beach Estate, a small park-like estate hidden a half mile from the main road and tucked away along a mile long secluded beach on the north shore of picturesque Savusavu Bay on Fiji's second largest and virtually undiscovered island of Vanua Levu. Take a step back in time and discover the tropical beauty and peacefulness of a 'hidden paradise' that most visitors never see!

Awaken to a chorus of tropical birds and gentle waves lapping just steps from your bungalow cottage. Gaze at the tranquil waters of lovely Savusavu Bay from your bed or take an early morning stroll along the long powdery soft sand beach to hunt for interesting shells.

Enjoy a refreshing dip in your large 11' X 21' private saltwater pool or the shallow warm waters out front in Savusavu Bay. Take a peaceful walk through our beautifully landscaped tropical gardens and lily ponds and spy some of Fiji's most colorful birds such as the Collared Lory, Fiji Parrotfinch, and Fiji's rare Orange Dove. Snorkel at colorful coral reefs teeming with tropical fish just offshore in Savusavu Bay or kayak up the nearby Nasekawa River, floating past virgin jungle and small native settlements. The rest of the day can be spent lounging on the large verandah or relaxing in our oversized lover’s hammock under the palms as the gentle breezes lull you into total relaxation. Enjoy a relaxing massage given out in the beachfront bure with only the sounds of waves & birds in the background. Take a nap, read a book or just watch the clouds drift by.

Our traditional Fijian 'bure' is the perfect place to end each day with 'happy hour' spent watching a spectacular sunset framed by the surrounding jagged volcanic peaks as the lights of Savusavu twinkle from across the bay and the Southern Cross rises in the clear starry sky.

Staying with us offers you the rare opportunity to personally meet the friendly Fijian villagers that often come to the beach to fish for their daily catch. It is a truly memorable sight watching a group of ladies fish with their large nets or float by on a bamboo 'bilibili' raft, just as their ancestors have done for hundreds of years. The ladies will be delighted to show you how they weave a basket, hat or fan from a palm frond.

Enjoy peace & quiet! Our bungalow cottage is on town power so there is no constant generator hum. However, we do have generator back up if power should go out briefly.

- "Avi and Akex are great hosts and we enjoyed chatting with them and their lovely boys. We are divers and absolutely fell in love with nimena, natewa, and rainbow reef. We like to cook for ourselves AND HAVE A PEACEFUL Place to return. Tropical Splendor was really beautiful and the evening beach walks with hundreds of bats emerging to forage is splendid. We were unfortunate with the weather as it rained almost everyday except 3 of the 21 days we were there. The drive to diveboats was 30 mins to 1 hour... over really bad roads. For this reason divers be aware, you are not on location. In addition, the internet is terrible, so do not plan to work from vacation if you need internet. In addition, the dishwasher does not work. However the beauty, peacefulness, and responsiveness of avi and alex still earned my 5 stars overall. Be happy and relaxed in this beautiful place. Sit everywhere on the property and have a proper good time!!"

Guddy’s Riverside Cottage offers accommodations in Nausori, 10 miles from Fiji Golf Club. This property offers access to a terrace and free private parking. The accommodation provides airport transfers, while a car rental service is also available. The air-conditioned guest house consists of 1 bedroom, a living room, a fully equipped kitchen with a microwave and a kettle, and 1 bathroom with a walk-in shower and free toiletries. The lovely 30+ acres of beachfront property is a Farm. It host 10 varieties of Banana trees, guavas, Lemons, Limes, Mango, Avocado, Mulberry trees, majestic Raintrees and other indigenous trees and flora. It is also A dragon Fruit farm with over 100 plants which comes into season Dec-April!
On this island most property's sit across the road to the beach, but Our Playground is directly along a private 5 km white sand beach that is Spectacular in Vista! Spend your days relaxing away from the crowds Beachcombing, shelling, or Snorkeling right off the beach. Stroll down to the rockpools to see many forms of brightly coloured fish and coral. Diving trips can be arranged as can car rentals if you feel the need to travel around the island. Local bus operates hourly from the property as well for the Fiji experience! We are a green property and the bures run off solar energy and has fresh clear spring water, we are about everything green here in Fiji. We can also do local airport pickups and return!

- "Such a beautiful property that you are free to roam and grab ripe fruit from their trees! Their beach is one of the prettiest we found on Vanua Levu! The owners are absolutely lovely people who do everything to make your stay happy and memorable. From the moment we arrived, they made us feel like welcome friends. My husband was a little concerned about the lack of AC but the ocean breezes made it a non-issue. The Bure is super clean and perfectly equipped for buying groceries and cooking meals. The shower was exceptional! Far from what I was expecting from a Bure in Fiji. We travel extensively and I can tell you laundry service is unmatched for the price. We were very interested in the history of Fiji and the owners were wonderful about answering my endless questions and even including us on some their traditions. They were also helpful about general information in town. I don’t watch Survivor but if you’re a fan, you should definitely ask some questions about the Australia edition. - "Rob and Deborah were terrific hosts! Easy to communicate with and so willing to help - as an example a new table lamp was provided as soon as we asked for better light to read by. We were invited to help ourselves to passionfruit which were plentiful and luscious. Paw paw were delivered to our doorstep. Great to have our laundry done for us for a small fee. The beach is almost deserted, white sands, clear water and blue herons fishing. Lovely little islands offshore. The cottage was perfect for the two of us, comfy bed, nice large shower and a great wee deck to enjoy the warm air and gentle breezes. Also great wifi which was very important for us. If you don’t feel comfortable drinking the mountain spring water, you can bring your own bottled water with you. If you fancy any other snacks or drinks, please bring them with you as well, as there are no options to buy things on the island.

Transportation to/fom the main island :
1) We offer our own transportation service from and to the Mainland, Lautoca warf. We charge $200 FJD each way if we pick up only one guest. The rate for 2 people will be $150 FJD each way.
If you come to us from another Island, we’ll pick you up from there as well.
2) You can arrange transport the Yasawa Flyer and get off at the Barefoot Kuata stop. Let the ferry staff know you are staying with Ruci and Mali's homestay. We will bring our small boat to the ferry to bring you to the homestay, and if we are not there you can always get the boat to Wayalailai EcoHaven, a short 2-minute walk along the beach from the homestay.

The cabins are small but welcoming like being cuddled up in your own cozy nest. The dimensions of each cabin is 24 feet long ( 7.3 meters ) by 8 feet wide ( 2.4 meters ). There is also a large deck, partially covered with awning where the outside dining area is and an outside shower built with renewable resource, natural bamboo with coral and stone footing, so please do wear your outside water shoes when taking a shower outside.

This secluded and magic place is not for everyone. If you are looking for city night life and convenience and close proximity to stores and restaurants, this place is not for you.

My 14 year old daughter and myself, we spent the whole year there living at this magical and enchanted place. My daughter finished her 7th grade studying on line under the Fiji tall coconut trees. You will not believe how tall and majestic these trees are.

Savusavu town is so unbelievably set back in time and in lush nature nestled in local Fiji hospitality and it is only a 14 minute car ride from your hideaway.
What makes the place special are its people and the vendors at Savusavu Farmer’s Market. They are humble and friendly and very interested in answering your questions. Everyone greets you with a smile and “Bula”.

Looking from the beach LEFT cabin features fully equipped cozy kitchen with full fridge and stove, with oven where you can be your own chef and cook your meals if you so desire.
There is a full bathroom with shower and one queen size bed with single bed on top.
Inside designated work space with free WiFi or dining area is provided as well.

The RIGHT cabin is a separate secluded oasis of tranquillity and gentle sounds of surf; it features one queen bed and wicker furniture seating area with love seat, two armchairs and a good size coffee table that has a hidden library inside.
There is also a floor mattress. This mattress can be used in the cabin or taken to the roof of Left cabin for privacy sunbathing, yoga, stargazing …
The outside shower has been artistically handcrafted with natural local amazing bamboo by local craftsman to give the feel of nature.

Hammock is also provided and your friendly local hosts Villy and Lemba will point out the best location by the oceanfront to install it; where the little outside table with bench is located for having your morning coffee, study, work, welcoming sunrise of another exciting, fun filled day or just dreaming….
